A romantic suspense that is loosely tied to the Mindhunters series.
Dr. Rachel Montgomery is Catherine's sister from Acceptable Risk. The story is built around the week before the upcoming wedding of a college friend of Catherine's. All the bridesmaids attended the same college and were friends. Rachel ends up reconnecting with Jake Rosales who happens to be the groom's brother and best man. The two are attracted but also a little distrustful of the other for completely different reasons.
For a short novella it this had it all. Mystery, suspense, murder, romance and a shocking twist.
I enjoyed this easy to read book. It was full of excitement and a love relationship that turns out to be wonderful and one that doesn't work out at all. I loved the characters and the plot. The suspense is throughout the book too. I am glad to have been able to read this book. I am going to look into more books from this author too.
