Really amazing fantasy (ghost) manga series, for adult, but for adult women (this is josei manga) - that is why there is no avalanche of sex and silly violence, but many handsome guys with both main characters, teenage boy Ritsu (16 at the start) who can see demons and ghosts (and hates it) and his beautiful demon (dragon) bodygard Blue Storm. Ritsu grows older in every volume and in 5. volume failed in his entrance exam for university and in 6. volume he studies in prep school for university. :o)Excelent (very black) sense of humour with hints of sadness and sometimes terror and horror - Black Storm resides in body of Ritsu´s dead father who is after stroke "ill and very different than before" - in reality Ritsu´s father died that day (killed by demon) and Ritsu´s grandfather gave his body his demon servant (slave) Blue Storm because happiness of his daughter (Ritsu´s mother) who needs to belive that her husband is still alive. And this gave Ritsu strong demon protector for all his life. Price was grandfather´s death a year after, when Ritsu was 6 years old. Blue Storm allways protects Ritsu, but behaves to him as to silly puppy (small revenge because Ritsu´s grandfather behaves to Blue Storm as to dog - and BS is wise and strong dragon in his true demon form and very beautiful bright and playful young man in his human-like demon form, and not so much handsome, bright or strong man in body of Ritsu´s father). Because demons don´t work, BS in father´s body is home and his wife and mother-in-low (Ritsu´s mother and granmother) must work alone for sake of the family... And they are very strong persons and Ritsu fears them a little. :o)Deaths and even murders are often thing in this series and mature humour, too - this is certainly not for children. But very funny, clever, witty, often terrific and sometimes very moving (I wept often by it). Very, very, very good! I adore it! I pray for translation of others volumes, too!
Despite the story is about a boy who could see ghosts and become as supernatural as those creatures, I wouldn't call this as horror-manga. So many things I want to say about Ima-sensei's work (Selected Pandemonium), but if I have to say it in a sentence, I'd say: she's dang good!
