I have a crush on Nolan Archer, Boston University’s freshman running back. He’s the definition of tall, dark, and swoon worthy. My knees weaken every time our eyes meet. There’s only one problem… he’s a virgin.
As much as I try to convince myself he’s too young for me, or that I prefer experienced guys, I can’t deny the flames of attraction flaring between us.
When his fraternity brothers decide to auction off his virginity, it forces me to make a decision. Should I forget about Nolan once and for all, or place the winning bid and be his first score?
Jacob Chance grew up in New England and still lives there today. He’s a martial artist, a football fan, a practical joker, and junk food lover. A USA Today bestselling author of sports romance and romantic suspense, Jacob plans on writing many more stories.
Once again, Jacob Chance has taken a common new adult formula and made it fresh, fun and highly entertaining. SCORE was a wonderful story, one that had me smiling and a bit misty eyed, a perfect combination of heart-warming romance and light-hearted humor, all surrounding realistic college life.
I just loved Nolan and Perri’s story. Beginning as a beautiful friendship that had sizzling undertones, gradually building to something so much more. It was so lovely to see them growing closer and there were so many aspects of their relationship that were so heart melting and gorgeous. Together they were perfection and were the epitome of the perfect book couple. Their story will be one I shall always remember and love.
This series for me has been nothing short of magic and has well and truly got me wrapped around it’s little finger. If I could reproduce the feelings I have when reading one of the books in this particular series, then my happiness levels would be set for life. What makes this series so great is that every single book has been memorable enough to land them on my favorites shelf. Each story is packed with flawless banter, and a genuine quality you find in not only the romance, but the friendships between the entire group of characters. The teasing and ribbing that goes on between the characters adds a lightness to the story and makes you long to know these guys and just be apart of their world. The wittiness between the Terrier boys has been a bromance made in heaven.
SCORE, although bittersweet, was the perfect ending to a phenomenal series. Plenty of emotion, scorching hot chemistry and a romance story that hit me in the heart of every single feel. Jacob Chance just gets better and better with each book and continues to impress. With SCORE, he just may have created his best book EVER! I really can't find fault with this absolute diamond of a book and The Boston Terriers Series is officially crowned as one of my all time favourites. I love this family of characters and I am so excited for Jacob’s new hockey series. If it’s anything like this series, then we’re in for something very special.
Score is book six in the Boston Terriers stand-alone series and I absolutely adored Perri and Nolan’s story. From the very beginning reading the first few chapters I was grinning ear to ear and couldn’t get enough. As the story develops I couldn’t help but fall harder for Nolan, our Frat brother virgin. Perri is a woman that is confident, funny and talented in many ways. The epilogue has me giggling and adoring all of BU’s guys, is such a great group and I can’t get enough of them. If your looking for a friends to lovers romance that will have you swooning and continuously turning the page then you need to one click this book now.
This is book six in the Boston Terrier series by author Jacob Chance. I believe this is the last book in the series and that makes me sad because there’s still more characters on the football team that I wish would get a happily ever after. However the author will be giving us a new series with BU’s hockey team players. You’ve already met a couple of those guys, specifically Clancy. I am really looking forward to his story. Not to mention the fact that I love hockey romance.
This book was a little bit different than the others in the series in the way that it takes place post football season and during the university's Christmas break. However this is not categorized as a Christmas romance. While The playing of football is primarily absent in this novel, we got to watch a group of the guys having fun and just letting go. There was no drama. And for me, that was a treat.
Nolan is a starting receiver for the Boston Terriers and is a freshman. Personally I thought Nolan was a great character. He was sweet, loyal, hardworking and a considerate young man. A gentleman Despite being inexperienced and a little bit shy around Perry, Nolan knew how to treat people with respect while having fun and making the people around him happy.
I'm not going into details because you'll want to experience all that is Nolan Archer on your own without any spoilers from me. I am going to say that the author did such a wonderful job scene setting. I felt like I was experiencing a winter playground. Nolan, Perri, and some of the guys got to play and just have fun without the stresses of classes. They were all having fun and I couldn't stop smiling. One of the secondary characters, in particular, had my attention for sure. Flynn. Since I think this is the last we'll see of the Boston Terriers football series, I felt a bit of disappointment that we won't get a book for him.
The last chapters of the book were perfect. While I predicted most of what was going to happen, there was a nice surprise thrown in that I didn't see coming. Do I recommend this book? Absolutely! In fact, this author has not written anything that I didn't love. If you haven't read anything in this series, you should. It is a perfect binge-read series.
This is my honest and unbiased opinion. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. :)
Nolan and Perri’s Story, the 6th installment, is the perfect way to end this chapter of the Terriers. I love everything about this series and everything Jacob writes but he brings to his characters in SCORE, it’s probably one of his best yet.
Nolan Archer. He is a freshman at BU and plays football for the Terriers. He is sweet, fun, protective and just an all around nice guy....who happens to be a virgin.
Perri Benson. She is sassy yet sweet, passionate about what she loves, and she is also the president of the schools daughter.
I love Nolan and Perri’s relationship and how it formed. It was definitely a slow burn to perfection. I think as I was reading I said “awww” out load a majority of the time. Nolan did that. He gave you all the feels.... hot meets chivalry isn’t dead.
SCORE is full of humor, romance and unexpected twists. It was perfect and fun and I can’t recommend it enough, along with the rest in the series!
This story is absolutely beautiful. I love Noah and Perri. The are perfect for each other. This book will give you all wonderful feelings. I will say the opening gave me some nervousness. Their journey together is one filled with adventure. The writing and flow of this book is remarkable. I absolutely recommend this book and series.
Another great addition to the Boston Terriers series. The author has written a wonderful storyline that not only continues with the great comradery of the football team but explores young love in its purest form. The story will have you smiling and remembering your youth and hoping for a happy ending as friends turn to so much more.
Perri is a junior at BU and has a crush on Nolan since she first laid eyes on him. Trouble is he’s two years younger than her and her father, the college’s dean, made her promise to not date a jock. But the more she gets to know Nolan, as a friend, the more she wants him. Nolan is the star running back for the Boston Terriers. It’s his first year and he’s only 19 but he falls right into frat life with the team. Well almost, the thing is why the guys are sowing their wild oats, Nolan is hanging onto his virginity for the right girl. A problem his team mates want to correct. So they decide to hold an auction to auction Nolan’s Virginity, a plot that leaves Perri lost and confused. Can she live with the fact Nolan’s fixing to sleep with another or should she keep her feelings to herself and just remain his friend.
One of the things I loved about Score what the simmering undertone to the storyline. The book is romantic, funny, flirty and sexy. Great addition to the series, and one you don’t want to miss out on. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Fabulous Stars for “Score” and the entire “Boston Terriers Series”.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋 Couldn’t have written a better end to this series, but there are more characters who are knocking around who need some loving . This has been a brilliant book , love Nolan such a sweet guy x
How do I start reviewing this fantastic read and do it justice without spoiling it for the potential reader? The Boston Terriers series has come to a conclusion and although Score can be read as a standalone, I would advise you to read all the books to get to know the crossover characters. However, if you do decide to dive straight into Score, your enjoyment won't be hindered.
Perri Benson is studying journalism at Boston University and writes a column for the university’s newspaper. She spots a picture of a good-looking guy in her dad's office who just happens to be the Dean of B.U. He makes a pact with his daughter to stay away from the jocks and she agrees. Hmm...until she sets her sights on Nolan Archer; two years younger than her and of course, off limits. Perri is a strong female protagonist with oodles of sass and confidence in abundance. She’s also a dancer and excels at her hobby.
Nolan Archer is the running back for The Boston Terriers and only nineteen. Like Perri, he's equally confident but what a shocker, still a virgin! Very proud of the fact, he isn’t embarrassed to tell his fellow teammates and fraternity brothers that he has hung onto his virtue. Nolan is such a sweet guy with high grounded morals, and he won’t let anybody make him feel less of a guy just because he's waiting for the right girl to come along.
When Nolan and Perri finally catch each other’s eyes, the connection between these two is instantaneous and there begins a beautiful friendship. Although Nolan’s aware of the new intake in B.U regarding Perri being off limits, they start to spend time together and totally enjoy one another’s company until they find out that the guys from the frat house and football team decide to auction off Nolan’s virginity. Nolan is less than impressed and the guys try to justify it by saying the money raised will go towards a charity they all support for disadvantaged boys and girls. Perri must decide whether to stay away or bid herself for Nolan.
Score was entertaining from beginning to end and whilst I’d enjoyed the series, this was by far the best. I’m not entirely sure why because all the characters are unique and intriguing and it was great seeing them again. Slow burning, it reeled me in until I got deeper and deeper into the tale. Some of the scenes were downright priceless and since I was so submerged, my surroundings were completely forgotten. Laugh-out-loud on my commute to work, I certainly did! Flawless and free-flowing writing made it was easy to get into the sea of words. Hilarity, chemistry and exhilarating camaraderie between the main characters, mixed with abundant fun, action and flirty moments, makes this read an unputdownable one. It’s a book full of so much content and whilst there is steaminess, it doesn’t steer away from the storytelling. Mr. Chance has a talent for spinning good stories and keeping the audience entranced with his words. Totally loved this and I can’t begin to convey just how much.
Gah, score was an absolute brilliant sports romance filled with so many feels you don’t know what to do with them all.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review
After reading a book from Jacob Chance a couple month ago I quickly became hooked and just knew without a doubt I would love Score and I was right on so many levels.
Give me a sports romance and I’m putty in your hands. Not gonna lie, they’re my weakness, I love a well written sports romance and that accompanied with a vast amount of feels is just everything I dream of hehe.
Nolan and Perri have taken over most of my day. Once I started their story I couldn’t stop. Their storyline was different but fun, I absolutely enjoyed every second of reading it.
I must admit I wasn’t a fan of how cold she would go against Nolan, I mean that guy was so inexperienced with relationships he didn’t have a clue and she knew that but was still a bitch to him at times *sighs*
But in the end, gah it was just everything I was hoping it would be.
Jacob Chance is quite the author, he’s quickly became one of my favourite sports romance writers and I can’t wait to see what he brings to us in the future.
Score was fun, sexy and lovely. It’s packed with emotions that you’ll love and want more of. I just couldn’t get enough of Nolan and Perri.
Jacob saved the best to last! Score was everything and beyond, Jacob has a knack for writing swoon worthy guys and Nolan Archer was no different. Nolan, the new running back for the Boston Terriers has everything going for him. He's a strong character who oozes confidence which I found remarkably sexy for a 19yr old virgin who in fact proudly owns it. He knows what he wants and he usually gets it until he sets his sights on Perri Benson..
Perri Benson also attends B.U and writes for the school column. Perri is carefree, witty, fun and intelligent. She knows what she wants and grasps for opportunities until she set her sights on Nolan. After accepting an invite to spend a few days with him in Vermont they both come to realise that there is a strong attraction between the two and yet nobody wants to own up to it until an unforseen event stirs up their future plans...
Score is a slow burn and friends to lovers romance that leaves you turning the page in anticipation. I fell in love with Nolan and Perri love story, they will always hold a special place in my heart.
Score is the 6th and final book in the Boston Terriers series and can be read as a stand-alone.
In Score we get to know Nolan Archer and Perri Benton and see how their story will play out.
Jacob has a talent for writing characters that you can’t help but love, Nolan and Perri are no exception!
Nolan is a sweet, kind and confident virgin who is new to BU freshman. He is also the new running back for the Terriers and newest member of the frat. Perri is also a student at BU. She is a junior majoring in journalism and is the dean’s daughter. She is a witty, smart and fun independent young woman.
The chemistry between them is undeniable, but when a few of Nolan’s friends decide to set up an auction for his virginity they risk ruining any chance that Nolan and Perri may have at being together. Add that to the pressure of Perri not disappointing her dad because of her agreement with them and she isn’t sure what she should do.
I definitely recommend Nolan and Perri’s story to ALL romance Lovers!💙
Nolan and Perri are seriously amazing! Jacob creates such amazing and dynamic characters that are outside the norm and I love that he doesn’t feel the need to over sexuality his books to sell them! He takes time to create his characters and have you fall in love with them for who they are! Nolan is sweet, caring and thinks about the long term and what he wants from life! Perri is sassy, independent and has a heart of gold! Together their attraction is palpable and their chemistry bleeds off the pages!
I love this group of characters and how they have each other backs! I’m sad to see the end of the Football series but I know we will see more Terriers (hockey) and I can’t wait to see what Chance has planned!
Honestly, it's a virtue that can be both good and bad. For Nolan, honesty has a way of biting him in the behind. The frat he's part of takes full advantage of one of his honestly told secrets. But he does keep one secret close to his heart, but he's bad at hiding it. Nolan and Perri are both attracted to one another at first sight, but is it because you always want what you can't have?
Score is Jacob Chance's best book yet in the Boston Terriers series. Nolan is sweet, and oh so swoon worthy. Perri is fiesty and let's just say can be a pain in the rear. But together they bring lots of humor and sweet moments. Nolan is the perfect sweetheart of a book boyfriend, the one we all want but are scared to admit to.
Just like the other books in this series it definitely was worth the read. Nolan and Perrier were just perfect for each other. They were both totally clueless about the others feelings for each other and I found myself at times wanting to shake them both and yell "FRIENDS DO NOT SHOVE THEIR TONGUES DOWN EACH OTHERS THROATS AND MESS AROUND LIKE YOU DO!" It's okay though because it made their ending so much sweeter. I loved the little twist in the end with Perrier having a certain thing in common with Nolan that he didn't see coming and also where they ended up 5 years later. Though I'm sad this series has come to an end I can't wait for the Boston Terriers Hockey series to start. I'm hoping Clancey is first up!
Score Boston Terriers Series Book 6, we new what was going to happen to Nolan from Jock book 5 but what happens is so much more. Nolan And Perri are perfect for each other they just don’t realize it yet, but with the help from there friends we follow as they embark on a passionate and rocky journey together. Jacob Chance keeps us entertained with the Boston Terrier Series I love how we still catch up with the other characters from the series. These sports romance stories will captivate you from the first page till the last. So well written I can’t wait to see who is next in the series. 5 STARS
This is book 6 in the series and what an amazing. Nolan and Perrie will have you on an emotional roller coaster of ups and downs and will have you flipping page after page to see what happens to them next. What do you do when the one person you want the most you can't have? This book will having laughing, crying and falling in love with these two. Can't wait to read more from him.
I loved this book... ...the slow burn, the connection, the characters.. Perri is drawn to Nolan, just by photograph.. ...then they meet, loved how their relationship developed...
Score by Jacob Chance is the sixth book in his Boston Terriers series, but can be read as a standalone, however, every book in the series is a great read. This friends-to-lovers slow burning romance was a great addition to the series and I loved it.
Nolan Archer is the new freshman running back for the Boston Terriers. I loved Nolan. He was sweet and caring and overall a great guy. Don’t get me wrong, he is a jock, but one with a heart. But when his team wants to “help” him by auctioning off his virginity, what is a guy to do?
Perri is a junior and two years older than Nolan, even so, she can’t help being attracted to him. But should she admit that to Nolan or stay his friend? Perri is confident, smart and out-going, but is troubled with admitting her feelings. When she learns about the auction, she knows she needs to make a decision one way or the other.
I have read every book ever written by Jacob Chance and have enjoyed every single one. In Score we get a great friends-to-lovers story that was sweet, charming and slow burning. I read this one in one sitting and highly recommend it!
4.5-stars! Loved it! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!
Perri's been warned a hundred times that her father's athletes are off-limits. Yada yada yada. She's never had a problem with it, though, until she meets gorgeous, inexperienced Nolan, who just happens to be one of her father's football players.
As the two form a friendship, feelings inevitably turn into more than friendly. But can Nolan and Perri defy her father's edict? How will their defiance affect both their futures? And even more significantly, how will the upcoming auction of Nolan's v-card affect their relationship?
In true Jacob Chance style, he made me fall in love with his hero and heroine, even though they're both ridiculously young. What I love about them, though, is that they've got heart and they don't act like the typical characters in most New Adult fiction. They're both adorably sweet, especially Nolan, and have got an emotional maturity I really appreciate. And that chemistry they've got going on is smokin' even though that pesky inexperience lingers. I've read that this is the last of the Boston Terriers series, and if so, I'm bummed because the two I've read of this series made me swoon and fall headlong in love with the athletes and their women of the Boston Terriers world.
This is the 6th installment of the Boston Terriers series and Jacob definitely left the best until last. This book made me swoon, laugh and gasp out loud at the antics these Boston boys get up to. Nolan and Perri's friends to lovers romance will have you believing in true love and happily ever afters.
Slow burn and friendship - the best way to find right guy !
Score by Jacob Chance is AMAZING!!!!
Author add another great book to BOSTON TERRIER series.... and as always write this story in his finest writting style. I'm sure that readers fall deeply in love with characters and plot in Score.
I liked very much how Mr Chance told us story about slow burn, changing true friendship in something much more bigger... something that will involve a couple of hearts.
Perri and Nolan was soo adorable together !!! Specially Nolan ! I like Boston TERRIER's men ... really ! Nolan, even as newbie is one of them, right??? He's such a sweetheart, football player with big heart, he knows how to work hard. And the best, very suprising part ???? He's virgin ! When I found out about it, I thought - WoW!!!! Only this author could give us this kind romantic male character. Nolan is whole packet Ladies !!!
If Perri wouldn't be so perfect for Nolan, I could maybe fight with her. She's great match for this football player, even if she doesn't really look for her own personal man. Perrie doesn't know what hit her .... so readers be ready - Score will capitave Your soul, hearts and minds !!!!
The characters in Score draw you in and you become emotionally invested in their story. Nolan is a handsome jock but he is extremely humble, devoted to his family, teammates and fraternity brothers, and just a generally nice guy. Perri is the Dean of the School’s daughter and has been warned about getting involved with jocks for years by her father. Nolan is not like any other football player she’s met and he begins to wear down her resistance as their friendship develops. It was hard to put down once I started reading this book. You will find many of Jacob’s personal favorites throughout the story such as his love of the Patriots and fluffernutter sandwiches. Which makes his stories so endearing. Can’t wait for the next series about the hockey team!
Once again Jacob has scored a touchdown with Nolan’s story. Nolan is the freshman tight end for the Boston Terriers. He’s sexy, built, and a virgin. At a bar with his friends he sees Perri for the first time and he is hooked. This is a great read as these two find romance. Their story pulls all your heartstrings as they navigate, football, parents, team mates, and burlesque. Definitely a five star read with an unexpected ending.
So much to love reading this book, Nolan and Perri taking the time to know each other, the slow burn for each other was sexy. Nolan showing Perri what fun Vermont can be together, making a snowman, building a snow fort, sledding was too sweet and so adorable, I really enjoyed this couple. Love reading about the frat house crew, what characters-lol hoping to read more about them in the future.
What a great series this has been. And it ends with a story about a guy who is 19 - and he’s a virgin. Nolan and Perri develop a friendship. Although Perri is attracted to Nolan, she had made a promise to her dad (a Dean at the University), not to fraternize with the football players.
I found this to be a story with a fresh concept. And as always, Jacob delivers the right amount of tension and romance.
So many laugh out loud and swoon worthy moments. Nolan had just the right amount of sweet and alpha and Perri was so fun and sassy! The two together were a perfect match for an awesome friendship. Both afraid to cross the line and putting each other in the ‘friend zone’ makes for one heck of a fun flirty read! 1-click and be ready to laugh your ass off while falling head over heels for a virgin!
The Boston Terriers series just keeps on getting better and better. I think this is the best one to date. The way Jacob writes is exceptional and has you hanging on every word. This book deserves so much more than 5 stars. I can't wait for more from Jacob Chance.
I loved this book in the Boston Terriers series. Nolan might be my favorite, and Perri is awesome. After each book in the series, I think that couple is my favorite though! The characters are so well written, I feel like I know them. I highly recommend this book and all the books in this series!
This was such a great addition to the Boston Terriers series. I loved both characters and didn't see the two hooking up coming. As always, Jacobs book is sexy, fun and such a great read
