My children were gifted this book as well as the companion book for little boys for Christmas. The boys’ book is simple adaptations of the Proverbs for children, appropriate and edifying for boys and girls; however, this is more about gender roles than character. I’m disappointed that the interpretation for girls includes sexist stereotypes about girls liking to shop and praying for a husband who “gives good advice.” Personally, these aren’t the kinds of ideas I want to fill my daughter’s head or heart. This book went straight in the recycle bin.

I maintained eye contact with this book from start to finish. Good message, a little repetitive!

I believe that the bible is the holy word of God. I'm not so sure I believe this author's interpretation of Proverbs 31 though.

I usually don’t rate children’s books but this one was so alarming, especially as a believer, I couldn’t help myself.
So each page discusses a different attribute of “God’s Little Girl”, and each is accompanied by an illustration of a girl displaying each attribute. The most offensive and shocking part of this book is that every single girl in this book is white. God’s kingdom is made of people from every tribe and nation, and it broke my heart to picture girls who aren’t white, like my own daughter, reading this book and feeling that they can’t be God’s children because they are not white. Less shocking but still disturbing is how it emphasizes stereotyped gender roles rather than loving the Lord, as we know that God has different plans for different women. I’m not even giving this away, I’m throwing it away bc it breaks my heart to imagine a non-white girl stumbling upon this. Awful.

This is a beautiful book that all mothers should read to their daughters. It encourages every little girl to be a wise girl and to follow the Lord's plan. The whole time that I was reading this book I kept thinking that there is so many important lessons to learn from it.

Oh how I Love this book and "God's wisdom for little boys", that her husband wrote. I attended a Elizabeth George Women's Conference years ago and bought both books. They were signed and have been read many times to my children. We love them! What a great way to teach your children. I highly recommend these books, they are beautifully done.

This is a darling book to read with a special little girl. It was a gift to my daughter for Christmas, and the poetry, and picture's are as beautiful as the message. LOVE IT!
