Semiramis The Vessel

Rate this book
Fully empowered, at peace with her damnation, and with the mightiest of the fallen angels at her side, Alexia sets out on her final quest. She’ll head further into the darkness than ever before, and face foes which make all her previous adversaries pale in comparison, as well as a colorful cast of fantasy characters, many of whom straddle the realms of good and evil, and who have their eyes on the same prize the water elemental is fighting for. Can her wit, her powers, and the overbearing assistance of her wyrd sisters see her achieve the tablets of destiny… or will she fall at the final hurdle, away from the dark wings of Lucifer - her teacher, her mentor, and maybe much more besides?

The Vessel is the third book in the Semiramis series, and once again, we continue where we left off. Alexia and her sisters (plus others) are reunited; they still have the tablets to find; and now Alexia is dealing with Lucifer too.

This series has completely enthralled me. I dropped what I was reading, to read this. Trust me, that NEVER happens. I am a monogamist reader!!! Except... I NEEDED to know what happened. Now, I'm not saying this book was perfect (although it came damn near close). Did I have questions at the end? Yes, I did. Did it matter or impact my enjoyment of this book? Absolutely not.

The wit, banter, and love are full throttle in this book, and one of the bits I loved most was when everyone thought Alexia was angry, and instead, she was grief-stricken. Her explanation was perfect! There are surprises aplenty in this book, and I will admit to crying throughout what felt like three-quarters of the book!!! The characters have drawn me in over the three books - becoming real in my mind. I laughed with them, and so therefore I cried with them too. 😭

Now, this is the last book in this trilogy, but it can't be the end. It simply can't. I refuse to admit it. I NEED more, like at least another three-book set! I won't say anymore as I don't want to give out any spoilers but read it for yourself, and you'll see what I mean.

I have loved this #Fantasy #Romance series, and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending either this book or the series.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Warning: spoilers of a non-specific nature

This final installment of the Semiramis series was packed with magic, action, myth, and, most of all, tension.

It was the myriad of tensions that really propelled the plot along - between our heroine, Alexia, and Lucifer, the fallen angel that both angers and excites her; Alexia and her magical sisters, who are often overbearing in their quest to protect her; Alexia and those hunting her; and even Alexia and herself, as she seeks to understand who she is and what is expected of her.

As those tensions come to a crescendo they force Alexia to make peace with herself and her circumstances and to ultimately serve her role in the greater battle between good and evil, chaos and balance.

And in a fast-paced whirl she faces her foes, is given glimpses into the meaning of it all, and then is hurtled abruptly out of danger. While I wish there had been a bit more time spent understanding the forces pursuing Alexia and the ultimate purpose of it all, I suspect this may not be the end after all.

Note: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

3rd instalment of the Semiramis series is really very HOT! I don't mind that one bit and the relationship between Al and --(sorry not giving that away) is absolutely the focus of this book in a way that steals the show big time. It's exciting and I love the fiery will they/won't they, but I did miss the deeper role and involvement of Al's friends in this book, as their roles seemed to have become secondary in favour of the romance plot. That's not to say that there is not a lot going on, and we still have the giggles and girly banter too - however, the sombre atmosphere is very well written and it's clear that things are coming to a head. A fitting conclusion to the series, this book has some very interesting, and sometimes very sad, twists that I did not see coming. Is it the end? I'm happy to say that I highly doubt it!

Now that’s how you end a series!

The Vessel by Maya Daniels is the exciting third and final installment of The Semiramis series

This book starts right where the second one ends and just takes off. It was non stop action until the very end. It was a fantastic, wild, emotional ride. It might even be my favorite of the series.

I don’t want to say too much about the plot as I don’t want to give anything away. You all need to read it and get the full experience. What I will say is the storyline was flawless and creative. It was about sacrifice and choices. It was full of action, emotional drama, and characters with irresistible chemistry.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire series. If you like fantasy and great storytelling I highly recommend

I absolutely loved the last book in the series, the scenes with Alexia and Lucifer were plenty and hot and they glued me to my seat, not to mention the adventures were on full force, taking me from one ride to another. In this book, Alexia and her friends continue to search for the Tablets of Destiny and this leads to many unseen challenges and original twists. And you will absolutely love the banter and fights between Alexia and Lucifer as Lucifer struggles to hold onto and independent and sassy Alexia. This book series has everything, exciting adventures, a to die for couple, loyal friendships, interesting characters and an original plot....

This is the exciting conclusion of the Semiramis trilogy. Or, is it? it wraps up nicely, but there's a little teaser at the end that hints there might be more books coming. I have to wonder about the fates of certain characters, given plot twists in previous books. I read how their story line was wrapped up, but this is fantasy and anything can happen.

There's a lot of will they/won't they tension with Alexia and Lucifer and I won't tell you if they do or not, but you might want a glass of water and a fan as it builds up to if they might. This story line is almost paramount over her sisters and the tablets, but it is an enjoyable ride to read

Alexia is back in this third and final installment of the Semiramis trilogy. Everything is — or becomes — more than it seems. We greet old friends, we meet new characters (and some we knew about but hadn’t met before). Alexia even fulfills her long-held desire to meet her father.

But there are surprises in store, tragedies aplenty and numerous other opportunities for the characters to meet their destinies. Some we applaud, some we grieve.

But all in all, it’s a wild ride with a ‘conclusion’ that leaves the door ajar for even more in the future.

Once again another smashing hit from Maya Daniels.
This takes us farther into the darkness and the sister reunite with old friends and not so much friends. There is so much more in this final round it really does leave you wanting more.

There is drama romance, and its hot baby, hell fire hot. lol
As the adventure continues things heat up for all involved and in not so much of a good way. but that is what makes this book so great.

I will say this book will not leave you disappointed.

The book was worth the wait. I love the way she has made Lucifer a very likeable character, almost human like. I almost forgot about the story and became more focused on the growing relationship between Alexia and Lucifer. The ending, or is it?, I was not sure if I should be happy or sad. For me, this was the best book of the trilogy. Hopefully more books to come from Maya Daniels.

The Vessel by Maya Daniels is the exciting third and final installment of The Semiramis series. I will start by saying that you need to read this series in order for it to make total sense.

The Vessel starts right where Reborn ends and just takes off. Alexia and Lucifer were going non stop until the very end. I don't write spoilers - but this whole series was fantastic. I found it hard to put down at times and I am sure you will find the same!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire series and I highly recommend it!!!

Great series

This is a really great series, looking forward to the next book. I do have a recommendation though...it needs to have an editor take a look at it again. There are some serious misspellings in all 3 books that make it a little difficult to read. Storyline is phenomenal though and I totally recommend it.

Alexia is ready for everything to be over and resolved. She believes she can keep her sisters and others safe. She just doesn't realize that that they have their own path to walk. Alexia is tired of the games, she goes off on everyone. She goes to be by herself, she receives another gift. Alexia is also softening to Lucifer, she can't help it.
They will set of to the another realm to get the tablets. Alexia's heart will broken again with everything she has to endure. Will she be strong enough to keep going or will it all be lost.

This was an epic ending to the series. There is non-stop action with what the characters have to endure. You will also have the romance part with Alexia and Lucifer. I didn't go into to much detail as there is so much going on, it will ruin the story. I recommend reading this book, you will enjoy it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.

In the third and final book of this trilogy, Semiramis, Lucifer and the rest of their group are put to the final tests to retrieve the Tablets of Destiny. They meet and fight with new and old Gods and Goddesses. Lucifer and Semiramis finally become the one they were meant for! She gains even more powers. She suffers through many trials and tribulations. Many more sacrifices must be made. And all for what? Is it really about the tablets? She will finally meet her maker! But, will it truly end here? I do not think so…but that is for another time and read~ Maya Daniels did her self very proud with the ending of this trilogy. I love the way she kept things open for more! This final book will have the reader going through a gamut of emotions and hoping for more after the ending! I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Vessel

So much happens in this book. There is loss, sacrifice, love: romantic and family. Passion and determination. Revelations.... Quite a few! I don't want to give much a way, so I'm gonna just say.. Read it, you won't regret it! This is well written and flows well. Highly recommend.
