Ariel Thomas was captured by hunters two years ago. The Moon Goddess saved her when an experiment went wrong and helped her escape. She has hope in her heart to return home and search for her mate, but Fate has other plans...
The Author picked a wrong app for this great book, especially for a series. I love this book, but refuse to wait yrs to read the whole series, also refuse to pay hundreds of dollars to finish the series. The app also has glitches you do not get to read a paragraph every 24 hours, because it is not a chapter.
So far in over a week I’ve made it to chapter 14. Good read so far but the book app where it is available is a pain. I don’t mind paying to read but at over $17 a book when you buy enough points and there seems to be multiple books it’s very expensive. Or read a chapter a day I might get done next year some time. Earning points when it actually works is max 3 a day. I like the book so eventually will read it all but only because it’s intriguing and want to see where it goes. If she has other books on this app I won’t be reading.
I wish there is another option to read this book.. i love it but i refuse to pay galatea such amount of money.. its kore of a ripped off.. 24 hr wait for 1 chapter.. so much potential for the writer but poor choice of app to release it..
This started out promising...It's well written, the characters seemed interesting, and there is a strong female protagonist. However, by the third book, it all just becomes a muddled mess. I keep reading it on Galatea, hoping somehow ends will be tied together, but no luck so far, so I'm going to abandoned this read.
If you are going to write a multi book series, the characters you introduce in the first couple of books need to remain and get fleshed out. Ariel (protagonist) used to be very close to her dad, but by the third book, he isn't even mentioned, and her abusive mother takes front and center. Her benefactors when she joined the Scripture Pack - also a memory. Why not use this opportunity to fill us in on some back story? There were SO many new plots/subplots introduced in the third book, it's almost cringeworthy. Alex loses his cojones. Ariel suddenly can't think for herself, and doesn't remember an important fact when yet *another* mini crisis occurs (deliberately kept this tidbit vague so I don't spoil it for others).
Keep your main characters consistent. They can make mistakes, but don't suddenly change their basic personalities, it's frustrating to see. Karen Marie Moning has 11 books in her "Fever" series, and the undercurrent of main characters remain the same and present in each book. Some may have a moment of prominence, but in reading the series, you learn more and more about each character. THIS is what DanniD should be doing.
If you're going to read this, I'd say stop at book 2.
Dont bother. Alex turns out to be not an alpha (at least his personality and character always took a backseat to Ariel). Ariel was frickin' stupid through much of the book. And too quick to jump to conclusions and make rash decisions. She acted like a spoiled child at times. And finally after 3, 4 (however many awful books as the chapters just keep going) you think you've reached a conclusion only for the author to drop another stupid bomb on you that was just the hugest *are you kidding!? This is crap! * moment. I will not continue this series once it's published. I'm surprised I got as far as I did. But I just wanted to finish after starting and stopping so many other books on Galatea. But do yourself a favor and just don't, as there's way too many negatives to make this a worthwhile read. Aside from crappy characters for the main guy/girl, the side characters just fall away and the author does nothing to write them out properly. Just stops mentioning them suddenly or randomly pops them in and it just doesnt align with the overall story when the side character was first brought in. The storyline gets repetitive. Fate, destined mates, moon goddess, healing, idiot Ariel, problems, repeat. Boring. Stupid. And ultimately made me wish I didnt waste so much time. But the fact that the author would end it the way she did was a complete wreck, and not in a good way at all. We're talking dumpster on fire wreck. Gross and something you'll want to stay far away from.
First, the platform that this story is on is greedy rip-off trash. There’s a 6 hour wait for every chapter unless you pay for coins at 10 coins/chapter (because let’s be honest you only earn enough free coins to skip a single chapter every few days so you really just have to pay for real progress) and then the coin price is disgustingly high since a lot of these “books” have 40+ chapters per book, so you’d end up spending more than you would for a real physical published novel at a bookstore.
Second, this story is not worth the effort to read, especially if you’re sick and tired of your female leads being horrendously mistreated by their love interest for “plot” with no real apology or retribution like I am. What started off as an intriguing premise and a seemingly strong and intelligent female lead, it crashes and burns by the end of book 1 in an unfortunately predictable fashion. One of the reasons I liked the story in the beginning was that Ariel (the MC) was intuitive and strong, and not in that “I’m not like other girls uwu” or “I’m ‘feisty’ for the sake of saying it but in actuality I’m just reckless and combative and blindly stubborn” way. And I liked “Alpha King” Alex (the love interest) because he also seemed just as intelligent and thoughtful. But then by the end of book one he became so weak-willed that he was so easily manipulated and subsequently treated Ariel like actual trash, even going so far as throwing her trauma in her face to dismiss her, twice, and exiling her from the pack. A woman he supposedly trusted and was having deep feelings for before the drama of the plot got in the way. And, yes, I understand there needs to be drama for a story but this was ridiculous. He was so close to making it past the point of no return before Ariel, despite the multiple rejections for weeks, comes back and saves the day and only THEN does he realize he messed up, instead of coming to that conclusion on his own and choosing Ariel. Then he comes with a single weak apology, a couple days in the forest and some sex and she magically forgives him and they’re supposedly in love. Like this is not romantic, and I need fantasy and romance authors to understand this. I swear this author either has some subconscious self-hatred or hatred for women because the toxicity of the demise of Ariel and Alex’s relationship, which was all Alex’s fault, was infuriating, and so was Ariel’s easy submission back to him. Her character literally says “he healed me” when he was the one to break her in the first place. Save your time and money.
I'm rating this book a 2 star due to the app that it is on. The story is good so far but you either have to pay out of the butt to read it or wait 6 hours to read a few paragraphs. This app starts off letting you read the first 2_3 chapters back to back and then you have to wait 6 hours for a few paragraphs. Ridiculous! I suggest that the author put this book on another site or sell the book. You have a good fan base for this book but that will be over shadowed by the Greedy app that the book is on.
I quit reading in book 2 on the Galatea app I probably should have stopped reading after book 1 (30 chapters in each book)
Our main characters are: king Alex and his beta Dominic Ariel Thomas, trained warrior just escaped from the Hunters (those are never fully explained, are they humans that know of werewolves or does this whole world know about them?) and Xavier, Ariel's destined mate who married her sister Natalia
there are a bit more characters, but I'll leave a bit of mystery for those that want to read it themselves.
but I will say I wish the author kept the characters a bit more consistent they felt a bit weak at some points throughout the storyline especially the king he felt at times more like a prince that was saying yes to his mother a lot off the time
3.5 If I didn’t mention before.. there are 5 books included in the one on the Galatea app with unlimited (purchased accidentally wanting a month to read/finish an 8 book series but billed full year). It was a pretty good series actually now that I’m more familiar with app. It did end on chapter 25 of book 5 which I’m going to guess IS the end. Based on other reviews it seems some ppl were only getting a chapter at a time. Not sure if it’s because they were paying as they go or it was truly then end but it had enough closure for me!
I’ve read this on Galatea app, which is not the best thing. The waiting hours/buying chapters with points or subscriptions can really mess with reading experience. But the story is amazing and worth it. I really liked the MFC. She’s been through so much and although her psyche is sometimes fragile she’s strong, a warrior through and through and her heart is in the right place. We get an interesting view on fated mates trope, wolves, queens, goddesses good and evil ones. And ofc a nice amount of steam.
The writing is awful. The FMC is an idiot who has no common sense or manners. The storyline in general is clunky. If this was a first draft, I wouldn't be surprised. It needs alpha and beta readers who actually pull it apart and let the author know how much work it needs and how often it feels rushed.
I don't want to give this book a bad review based off the app it is on; that is not fair to the author. i give this book 3/5 because the plot tends to jump around a lot and some stuff is completely drawn-out way too long. We were left on a Clift hanger on book 4. The so-called alpha looks weak and incompetent; Arials character steam rolls everything.
I didn't read this book for some time, and it's just disappeared! I love it, but now have no idea where I can get it and read till the end! So disappointed it's vanished from everywhere! I wanted even to translate it for people, who don't know eng:((
I like the book so far. Not a fan of the app used. And can people pls not post spoilers without warning? It’s rude and ruins the suspense of a book. Please warn us first so we can decide whether to read the spoilers?
Very good written! Amazing plot, amazing characters! The only problem I have is that many characters are acting dumb wayyy to much. The rest... Flawless👏
Did Not Read. Refuse to Read. It's only available per chapter on Galatea. You have to buy each chapter...and wait on the author to submit each chapter day by day. Not my idea of how to read ANY book.
