The hot guy in a suit, sitting next to me at the bar? I don’t know who he is, but when he tries to pick me up, he seems surprised when I sass him and turn him down. Truth? He’s practically irresistible, and I almost say yes.
Turns out, he’s Jackson Bennett, a cocky billionaire with a playboy reputation. And he has a very interesting proposition for me.
He wants to whisk me away for a week. No strings. No expectations. Just a crazy, lust-filled week of luxury with the hottest man I’ve ever met.
We come from different worlds, and it isn’t supposed to mean anything. But the fire between us is scorching hot—in and out of the bedroom.
Our hearts are supposed to stay out of this, but apparently mine didn’t get the memo. And when things get complicated—really complicated—it puts both of our hearts on the line.
One Crazy Week was previously titled Must Be Crazy

I've read my fair share of books, and I have found that it's really challenging to write a great billionaire book. This one is pure perfection because He wanted her more... from the start. He chased and stopped his Playboy ways after her. She's average income, and he's beyond rich.
Melissa Simon, aka mysterious #sassygirl555 and fifth grade math teacher, isn't really looking for a relationship. She's been fine on her own. She lives in Jetty Beach and is on summer break.
Jackson Bennett, aka billionaire playboy, has just come to Jetty Beach to purchase an art museum. He doesn't do relationships because, in the end, all they want is his money.
When he goes to the bar for a drink, he's schooled by the teacher the proper way to drink scotch. When he tells her that she will be coming back to his hotel, she puts him in his place and walks away. When they meet up again, the attraction is strong, so he proposes that they go away together for a week of fun, no strings attached.
This is a beautiful romance that has all the emotions in it with a happy ever after. I LOVED IT!!
**PERFECT book boyfriend **Possessive **Billionaire **Opposites Chemistry 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I loved the hell out of this book!!! It was so strong in the writing, the steamy sex scenes, and the beautiful unexpected love story.
Melissa is fun, crazy, hilarious, and in need of some spice. And who better to give it to her than wealthy billionaire, dirty talking, sexy Jackson. One week of sex and fun leads to oh so much more for these two.
What really makes this one is the last 2-3 chapters. And of course the Epilogue! I really enjoyed Ryan and Nicole's story but after Melissa and Jackson I'm undoubtedly in love with this author. I love a leading guy who is unashamedly falling all over his woman. I love when they take one look and that's it. A woman who changes them for the better and that was Melissa for Jackson.
SPOILER
Both books in this series end in the most beautiful marriage proposals! I hate to give this away but at the same time it must be said that this author can write a proposal like no other. Beautiful ugly happy tears proposals! I'm not an emotional reader but both these books got me good. Love our crew from Jetty Beach and am so excited for our Dr Cody to get his HEA next! :)
Pros: Short story, well rounded and the spicy scenes are plenty and well written.
Cons: To me, ending seemed a bit rushed. We are supposed to believe that a wealthy, party oriented, handsome f*ckboy suddenly becomes super responsible and embraces the domestic lifestyle because of a surprised pregnancy... Ok, sure 👌. It's not very believable, but at least it makes a satisfying ending.
Overall, 'One Crazy Week' is a forgettable story about a teacher and a wealthy playboy who meet at a bar and he falls for her after she refuses to go to his hotel with him on the first night. They spend a week together, and both want more from the relationship afterward. Original? Not really, but entertaining and at times heartwarming.
If you like your heroines intelligent, strong and independent and your heroes powerful, hot, and sensitive, Must be Crazy is the book for you! I adored the chemistry between Jackson and Melissa. Their attraction practically sizzled off the pages. One of the things I like most about Claire's books is that she doesn't let the characters get too bogged down in their thoughts. I love to know what characters are thinking and to see them working through issues in their minds, but I really love dialogue - the wittier, the better. And there was some adorably witty moments between Melissa & Jackson. Where Must be Love felt somewhat heavy (but still amazing!), Must be Crazy is a lighter, feel-good story that you won't want to put down simply because you love the interaction between Jackson an Melissa so much and you want to see how it all plays out. And once again, Claire nails the ending offering up another swoon-worthy moment! :) I can't wait to read Cody's story next! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I give up on this series LMFAOOO it starts off good but then the characters are either super dramatic or the plot goes nowhere and then everywhere. This one had a surprise pregnancy trope that made my head hurt
This one was fun! I liked how Melissa and Jackson met and how sassy Melissa was with him, not knowing how he was and bowing down at his feet. Because let's face it, Jackson needed people like that in his life. I liked how both of them embraced the one week, but knew by the end of it both would be unhappy with ending things. They kinda had to go through that ugly part to realize what was important to them and what they wanted. The two of them were left in a great place as this book closed.
Loved the second installment in the Jetty Beach series. It’s so nice to see teachers portrayed in novels, especially the reality of them having to buy their own school supplies for all the kids in their class. Jackson was intense but so likable and vulnerable. They were a great match.
Mir hat hier was gefehlt.
Incredible, Not your everyday Rich Billionaire Story
I loved this book so much! I don’t write reviews often, I feel like other people say what I’m thinking so much better than me. However, I loved this couple and their story so much I just had to say it!! You have to read This series and get to this book ASAP. Jackson has never had true feelings before and boy does it sick you in when he does and doesn’t know what in the hell is wrong with him. I think I understand Melissa on a personal level somewhat and I think that made my feelings for this book so intense! Anyways, start this series NOW and don’t stop until you’ve read everything by this author!!
Liked this fun little romp between two characters we met in the first book. I already liked the characters going in, so it was nice to see how well they paired with each other. I'm not generally into rich guys, but when there's a well done story where the character happens to be rich, then I'm a fan. That's what this was. The conflict in it comes naturally out of the story. Looking forward to reading the next two Jetty Beach books. Highly recommended!
I didn’t like this one as much as Cody and Ryan’s books. Jackson was very sweet and caring, but I couldn’t connect with Melissa. She freaked out over what I consider to be stupid things. She also didn’t act very humble or appreciative of all that Jackson did for her. I feel like Jackson got the short end of the stick on this romance.
4.5 stars. The second book of the series. It can be read as a stand alone, but you see some of the other characters I liked Jackson and Melissa’s connection. Pretty much instantly. This is a quick, fun read about opposites. Surprises are always fun too. I listened to the audio version of this.
The billionaire and the 5th grade teacher. An odd combination, but love is love. 💙 They made it work. The ending seemed a bit abrupt. It would have been nice to have another epilogue a couple years later to catch up on their lives.
We got to know the female lead in this story Melissa Simon pretty well as the BFF of Nicole the female lead of the first book Must Be Love. It was interesting to see the two roles reversed in this story where it’s Nicole who becomes Melissa’s shoulder to cry on and voice of reason. We also met briefly the male lead billionaire Jackson Bennett in the same book. If you don’t have a morality problem with the idea that these two decide to hook up for a no strings week long sexathon or that our sweet fifth grade teacher swears like a sailor dropping f-bombs all over the place when she’s not teaching, this is a really nice romance. Think Pretty Woman only Melissa isn’t a prostitute, she’s a teacher on summer vacation, bored and horny. Jackson and Melissa meet one fateful evening at the only bar in the little seaside tourist town of Jetty Beach where Melissa was born, raised and still resides and Jackson is in town to close a business deal. Jackson is intrigued by the brash, profane Scotch swilling Melissa. When she turns down his invitation to go back to his hotel room with him, he takes it as a personal challenge because the ridiculously handsome playboy billionaire is not use to being rejected. After a few weeks of tweeting and texting, Jackson shows up at Melissa’s door and convinces her to go on a one week vacation/fling with him. As Melissa tells Nicole, “it’s a little crazy but I think I need a little crazy in my life.” After driving her to the Seattle airport in his two million dollar Bugatti, he purchases first class tickets to a villa on the ocean in San Diego where they spend a week wining, dining and screwing their brains out. When their week is through, they both reluctantly separate each unwilling to admit to the other that they want more time together. Eventually they reconnect but problems arise when the paparazzi begin to hound Melissa and scandalous pictures appear on line that threaten to cost her, her job. Melissa, frustrated by her lack of privacy because of her relationship with Jackson and feeling like she doesn’t belong in his glitzy world breaks up with him. But our two star crossed lovers have a big surprise in store for them. I think my favorite parts of this book are the scenes where Melissa is overwhelmed by the trappings of Jackson’s obscene wealth. For a young woman who grew up just the other side of poor, supporting herself on a modest teacher’s salary, she struggles to deal with the expensive car, luxurious villa, expensive designer label clothes and in general the way people fall all over themselves to do Jackson’s bidding. For me those scenes felt more real than anything else in the book. Well that and the final couple of chapters where Jackson gets his head out of his ass and we get our happily ever after. Not that the rest of the book wasn’t good. Melissa I think realizes fairly early on that she’s falling in love with Jackson but thinks the wealthy playboy would never be interested in settling down with her and that she doesn’t fit in his world. Jackson being the stereo-typical emotionally stupid male we often find in C.R. stories is slow on the uptake to realize all those feelings he has for Melissa mean that he’s in love with her. There’s plenty of steamy sex as both lead characters can’t get enough of one another. There’s a few laughs and of course some heart warming moments.
Melissa teacher as same small school she grew up in with no social life so her friend talks her into doing a profile on a dating app. She immediately gets 3 responses and after she opens third one on to find a photo of his junk she slams her computer shut and decides to go to the local bar for a drink.
Jackson is in town to purchase the art gallery and is bored to death until he stumbles across a dingy bar and decides to check it out. When he schooled on Scotch by a smoking hot woman he can't believe she turned down his advances. But, when she comments on his Twitter post it's game on.
All I can say is WOW! Amazing story. Steamy hot 🔥! All I want to know is where I can get me a Jackson!!!! This deserves 10 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. If you haven't read anything by Claire Kingsley you are missing out on the best steamy romances of all time.
The teacher tames the playboy. Melissa is a sassy girl who talks to Jackson like no one else dares. She needs a little fun, and Jackson is happy to sweep her away for it. Love with a billionaire has complications though. I really enjoyed the heat between these two- seriously smoking! I love the fun they are able to have with each other. Even more, I love Jackson's sweet tender side when it comes to Melissa. They both have to make some changes to make their HEA work, and they have to overcome some challenges to get to that point. I love the emotion in this book, it is hard for me to describe. Beautiful settings, serious steaminess, and a surprise make this book a real treat. 5 terrific stars.
So, a man walks into a bar...yeah that's how it all began. Melissa Simon and Jackson Bennett have off -the-wall chemistry from the minute they meet. Melissa swears like a sailor, loves her scotch and is a dirty lusty woman. You'd never know she's an elementary school teacher. Jackson has it all; money, power, charisma and sex appeal in spades. When Melissa practically knocks him off his barstool by saying no to him, it's challenge accepted! Their steamy week together leads to more. More than she ever wanted to know about lifestyles of the rich and famous. More for him wanting to have this woman forever because he has a hollow spot in his life without her. Their live their lives on very opposite ends of a broad spectrum but a surprising turn of events will change them both forever.
This series keeps getting better with each book. Jackson came to Jetty Beach on business. He was bored just sitting in the hotel room so he decided to go to the local bar.
Melissa who was on summer break from her teaching job was trying and to get her friend to go get a drink, but wasn’t having any luck. She went to the local bar by herself and that was when she met Jackson.
They agreed to spent a week together and when the week was over they went their separate ways. Neither of them were happy apart and after ups and downs they got together and found their HEA.
I really liked the first book in this series, but this one was spectacular!! I think Melissa and Jackson may be my one of my all time favorite H and h. They were so fabulous together. I was riveted by every interaction from the time they first meet to the very end. —And that’s hard to do. Their chemistry was so intense instantly. I swear, you could feel the emotions these two had for each other—along with the heartbreak. I cried my eyes out at the end (and it takes a lot to make me cry). The ending was perfect. I’m dying to read the next book just for a peek at how Melissa and Jackson are doing lol.
ah this book was so fun. Crazy is putting in mildly, the adventure of to strangers meeting, deciding to spend a hot steam week together and then part ways, give me more. Yes there's a HEA because hello it's Claire's book, but this was so amazingly written and so HOT. Dirty talking, hot chemistry between Melissa and Jackson! I loved the difference in their worlds too that was fun to see how much she just didn't care about his money. This is a great second book to the Jetty Beach Series, I can't wait to dive into book 3!
Thank you, Claire, for writing a story where the previous book's characters still play a role... because, yanno, we need to wean ourselves from loving the last couple as we move on. 😉
Melissa was a feisty ball of woman in Nicole and Ryan's book, and she certainly did not disappoint as the female protagonist in this novel. And Jackson? My hubby's gonna have to peel me off the floor tonight... melted!
Melissa is a teacher and now has the summer off and is feeling restless. She goes to the bar and meets Jackson and turns him down for a one night stand stand barely because he’s hot. Jackson is a very rich man and finds out who she is and starts sending her gifts. They decide to have a week of no strings fun but they didn’t expect that they didn’t want it to end. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book.
The story-line and interesting and intriguing characters enchanted me and had me reading late into the night. If you're looking for a book that is good, has a hot, rich playboy with a cocky attitude who does naughty things... Must Be Crazy is the book for you.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
