The Devil's Portrait: A John Cooper Novel

Rate this book
At a small art gallery in Los Angeles, the recently acquired portrait of a scarred young woman draws attention more for it's foul odour than artistic accolades. Detectives from the Art Theft Detail immediately recognize the smell as human decomposition and the signature on the portrait has many art lovers shocked. Could this grisly piece of art really be the work of former child prodigy, Alexander Dimitroff?

I just finished reading Devil’s Portrait by Geoff Marriott. I couldn’t put it down. A captivating read about the compelling life of Detective John Cooper. You experience the danger, strength, courage and compassion of a detective’s life. Well written, a must read. I will be waiting for Geoff’s next release.

I could not put this book down! The book draws you into an artists deranged life from the get go and puts chills down your spine as to what he has to experience! The intrigue keeps you reading on as Women start disappearing and our famous Cooper has to read between the paintings literally...
I’m waiting with Baited breath on his next book!

A fast paced, often creepy read with a rollercoaster of an ending. The Devil's Portrait was well worth the wait and is a perfect compliment to the first 2 books. John Cooper is a rugged determined cop that really makes you want him to solve the case. I'm looking forward to the next installment!

I was most impressed by the unique topic of this novel. A real page turner, with excellent characters, on both sides of the law.
Now I have experienced this author's work, I will read more from him. Great intrigue to be sure.

Amazing novel !! I would suggest you read the first two books in the series before you read this novel as you will get a sense of the main character and how he develops throughout the different novels. Give me more of John Cooper !!
