A ménage à trois romance between a female violinist and two mysterious British men with untold influence. Their love fuels the power that pervades London.
From an early age, Emily lived for the violin.
Practices were a joy. Recitals were a celebration. She only felt truly alive when the meticulously crafted, finely tuned, string instrument was in her firm grasp.
You could say that Emily lived for the violin, and that it was her true love. You would have been right...
...but that all changed the day she met Xander Rothschild.
Emily Rampling thought she understood the nature of power.
But she didn't know the unexpected forms power could take, bending and adapting to suit its needs. She wasn't aware of the ways power could infiltrate unnoticed into the highest echelons of government, soaking the most hallowed chambers with its influence.
She didn't realize the methods in which power could weave an invisible fabric that manipulated society with hidden secrets and unannounced agendas.
In fact, Emily Rampling didn't understand anything at all about the nature of power.

Pervade London is book one in the Pervade Duet by Vanessa Fewings. This is my very first book by Ms. Fewings. Where do I start with this? How do I describe a book to you that completely blew my mind? My emotions are all over the place. For most of this book, my heart was racing. I both cursed and proclaimed my love to the author.
Let’s start with Emily Rampling. She is a twenty three year old violinist. Music is her heart and soul. It has been since she was a small child. She has devoted her life to learning to make her violin sing. It is an extension of herself. She is currently attending a music academy on scholarship. Her dream is to secure a place in the London Symphony Orchestra. On a night no different than so many other nights, when Emily meets a man in need, she offers a kindness and her life would be forever changed.
Xander Rothschild is thirty three years old and is beyond the genius level of intellect. At his lowest point, a beautiful, kind woman offered him kindness and a helping hand. He knows he should stay away from her. His life has no room for her in it. He shouldn’t draw her into his darkness. But he can’t resist her.
“You’re my greatest love.”
These two quickly fall in love and spend six months of bliss. But the mystery of Xander’s past comes back to haunt them in the form of a man named James Ballad. There is such a fine line between love and hate. James has ripped away everything that Emily loves. She should hate him. I hated him.
“I was being drawn toward this man like the pull of centrifugal force, no matter how much I tried to resist.”
I spent a good part of this book having no idea what was going on. James and Xander are clearly involved in things that are dark and mysterious. I do want to tell you that explanations are given in time, though. You aren’t left wondering. James was the leader, the conductor if you will. He waved his baton and everyone performed as expected. Except Emily that is.
“James was the director of all the chaos.”
My heart broke for Emily over and over again. She was thrust into circumstances she had no idea how to navigate. She had happiness given and taken away from her over and over again. She was asked to make sacrifices for causes that weren’t hers to bear. Through it all, though, she was strong and her heart was full of love for both Xander and for James.
“Owning you is a privilege I accept.”
This is a duet so things are left hanging. I sincerely hope that Vanessa is typing her fingers to the bone getting the conclusion of this story ready for us. Because I need it now! This is a ménage, there are interactions both between the three of these characters together and also between the two men. The sexy scenes are hotter than hot. But there is so much more to this. There is intrigue, mystery, and the dark power behind the scenes of government that we don’t hear about. That the people you think are running things aren’t the ones in charge at all. I do know that my love for Emily in this book is one hundred percent. My feelings for Xander wavered a bit. My feelings for James ran hot and cold. Like Emily, I wanted to hate him, but also saw something redeemable there. Something that draws me in and makes me want to find the good in him. I’ll have to wait until book two, Pervade Montego Bay comes out to see if that will happen. I couldn’t put this down. It is clearly a book that is going to stay with me. It was something completely different for me and I am so glad I took the leap. I hope you will too.
Wow! I am not sure what words I can find to describe reading this story. How it made me feel, what I thought of the characters and progression - without being a spoiler - but I'll try. If you want to read the next section then stop. Don't go further:
Vanessa Fewings has once again brought light to a world and poured over romance. The story evolves from an instant connection of the heart into so much more. The characters are more than the first few glimpses. As the reader, you are not only intrigued by the characters but with the direction of the story. The progression deeper in the story kept me unable to put my eReader down. If you love romantic suspense with a HOT menage, look no further to add to your TBR.
Okay now for the details without too much detail.
Emily - She is everything I love in a strong female lead. She is smart and doesn't allow others to treat her as anything other than someone to be heard. She has her own insecurities, as we all do, but doesn't allow that to define her. But rather rise up to meet the challenge. She's a woman who doesn't believe in 'no' to James' irritation.
Xander - He is the glue and the steady. He loves with a full heart and knows not any other way to be. He's honest and loyal to those he gets close to. He can't help but fall in love with Emily. It's Xander's constant loving presence that makes their relationship work.
James - Oh this arrogant bastard at times. He could be so damn smug. And yet, light the panties/underwear off anyone within his arc. But he is deeper. James carries the weight and responsibilities of those he loves. He keeps things close to the vest and those he cares about even closer.
The Triad - How does this come to be? Em, Xander and James are not supposed to be. Emily's natural curiosity (that doesn't understand no) puts her in the sights of James. Once the veil is lifted, Emily is left in the cold about what is going on in their world. But again, this heroine doesn't accept what is to be and goes to any end to find the ones that make her heartbeat. Once she finds what she is looking for, it opens her eyes to a whole new story.
It's a rollercoaster where you start to build slowly towards the top before the real ride begins. Ms. Fewings takes you from one scene to another. You think you understand where they are going. You experience delights with twists you think you see coming. But trust me, you don't understand the velocity the turn will take.
Is it a cliff? Well, I've read some and let's say - my eReader is intact and I didn't toss it. I hold in my hand an invitation to Montego Bay. And I will certainly be taking the trip in July.
When I first finished this book, I had to catch my breath. It's such a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end, full of power and intrigue and mystery.
Pervade London is one of the sexiest books I've ever read. Alpha-hole James Ballad brings out the most conflicting feelings. Initially, you're drawn to that power, but as the story begins to unfold, you develop this love/hate relationship with his character. Sometimes he wields his power in such a way that makes you question his morality, but then he goes and does something to endear him to you. Of the trio, he is my favorite character. He is completely enigmatic.
Xavier is our vulnerable genius with the heart of gold who just wants to protect those he loves. His level of intellect is astounding.
Emily loves one and grows to love another, a lifestyle she never saw coming.
The last handful of chapters were quite an adrenaline rush, and the cliffhanger of an ending had me craving more. I absolutely loved how sexy and sophisticated Pervade London was, from beginning to end. And the storyline is one of the most unique I've ever read.
As a 5 star read, this is a top recommendation for 2019.
Well, I have to admit that I have struggled with the rating on this one. There were some things that I liked about it, but then there were some things that I really didn’t care for. However, I’m interested enough to continue on with the next book and see how this story plays out.
So....my thoughts: This is a story about 3 individuals. By the end of the book, I liked the three together, but it was a rough start and a bit of a journey for me to get there.
The author started out the book focusing on a M/F relationship and I was fully invested and fell in love them. Then something happened, they were torn apart and in no time at all the h was having a sexual encounter with someone that was portrayed as the bad guy. Woah!!! Hold on chickee-poo. Did you all of a sudden forget you had a hot fiancé that you were separated from and that this guy who is giving you oral is the reason why you are not together??? 🤬🤔😳 I viewed this as cheating and that is absolutely a trigger and a no-go for me. The h lost major points for me and I almost shut the book.
However, I have GR friends that gave this duet high ratings, so I plunged forward (but certainly had a bad taste in my mouth for the heroine).
So, I battled my irritation with the heroine as I was thrown into a new scenario that led to a trio instead of a couple. I don’t have a problem with a trio, but it just felt like I took sharp turns to get there rather than a smooth path. Unfortunately the sharp turns had me really despising some of the characters, which made it more difficult for me to embrace the trio right off the bat. It took some time for me to warm up to them as a unit.
Additionally, I somehow got it in my head this was a psychological thriller but there wasn’t anything that was psychologically thrilling to me. Yes there was some mystery about what these guys actually do, and there was a feeling that maybe there could be some danger, but neither of those two items fit my idea of a psychological thriller. So, this misunderstanding is probably just a me thing, but I struggled a bit because my expectation was one thing and the reality was slightly different.
There were a lot of steamy scenes in this book. At one point i wondered where the story went because all it felt like was sex scene after sex scene. I’m not going to complain, but I did feel like the mystery aspect and the actual story took a small backseat for a period of time.
On the plus side, I like some intrigue in my book and this story has it. By the end of the book I had a better idea of what the guys were involved in and I did like the journey of discovery and getting to know them better. Both guys are sexy, sexy, sexy. And the guys together.....umm 🔥🔥🔥.
The trio: Emily was a strong heroine. My first impression was that she was the type who will push through obstacles and she definitely proved that throughout. She’s a bit stubborn and I loved the way she clashed with James as it just amped up their sexual tension. And, let’s just discuss James for a moment. Arrogant, powerful, protective and his feelings for Xavier were strong and clear, even though he didn’t voice them. And finally Xavier - sexy genius and probably the one I loved the most. 🥰 🤓 He is off-the-scale brilliant but is humble about his gift (or his curse). He is the glue that holds the trio together as he loves both Emily and James and he wants all of them to be together.
The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. I am eager to jump into book 2 though because now that I have a better understanding of the relationship dynamics I think I will be able to settle in to the story and just enjoy where it goes from here.
Quotes “Personally, I believed he loved me because my background was the opposite of his, since he’d had a silver spoon stuck up his ass for most of his life.”
“They need to be shaken from their routine. They need to know that one person can make a difference.”
“A good friend of mine once told me I’m like one of those priceless Ming Dynasty vases. Seemingly perfect, with an invisible crack running through me that makes me deeply complicated.”
“I feel like you and me…we could be more…”
“How can you make a choice when you don’t know what the question is?”
“How do I punish a man who has devastated my life? Take away what he wants more than anything.”
Emily is a gifted violinist who is relentless in pursuing the thing she wants. She dreamed of going to the London Symphony Orchestra but everything changes the moment she helped Xander.
Xander(Xavier) is the kind of man who will protect the people he cared for. His past is a mystery and as if he just wants to forget all about it.
The story gets very interesting when James comes in. He's the kind of man who gets what he wants. I totally don't like him the way he manipulates the lives of the people around him, but at the same time, I'm intrigued by what motivates him to do what he did. He's just too much at times.
Pervade London is more than I expected. It holds my interest right from the very beginning of this beautifully crafted novel. The author's writing is marvelous. In terms of narrative, plot, pace, and characterization Vanessa Fewings nailed it.
This is not standalone but the idea that book 2 is coming excites me. I want more of Emily, James, & Xander, can't wait! If you enjoy a very, very steamy(you've been warned), sexy, mysterious and intriguing storylines, you'll love Pervade London.

This book was incredible, with a mixture of suspense and romance. The words captured my thoughts. The males characters were perfect, strong and so mysterious, I loved them. But... I didn’t like the female character. She was so naive sometimes and impetuous another times... it’s hard to understand! She wasn’t important for me in this story, really! This book would be only about the men. Yes!!!!!

5+ Stars!
The Review: Shew... where do I even begin with this one?
Simply put, PERVADE LONDON is an exquisite, masterful piece of art! It swept me away to the enchanting streets of London and lavished upon me a provocative romance between Xavier and James - two elusive men who will seduce you - and Emily, a competent heroine who will surely charm you. And the story? Will utterly pervade you.
Story/Characters... Emily Rampling is a simple girl with a simple life. She’s also a rising star amongst her peers. A budding violinist with a bright, promising future on a path provided by her deaf mother who would never hear her play. While busking one day at Piccadilly, she runs across a mysterious man she feels compelled to help.
A stolen violin, a curry meal for two, and a priceless gift set these two strangers on an unexpected, salacious and intriguing path neither of them expected.
Xavier Rothschild is a polished, brilliant, eccentric, complicated and dangerous man. He grew up to lead an extraordinary life. Not because of the silver spoon he was provided, but because of his unique ability to observe, read and dissect everything and everyone around him. He’d give Sherlock Holmes a run for his money and probably jump above him, leaving Mr. Holmes baffled as to how he got so high. He’s a man with secrets and when he meets Emily, his life has taken a very different turn than the one he was leading just days before. She comes to him in a time of need and her generosity, kindness and inner light pull him in.
Captivated and compelled by one another, they can’t resist the allure. So they embark on a journey with conditions and a warning - his life is arduous to the extreme, so she’s never to ask about his past and always do as she’s told.
There’s a sinister obstacle lurking in the shadows. James Ballad - enigmatic, seductive, confident and the absolute deadliest of men - who seems to be pulling all the strings. He walks into a crowded room, and everyone disappears, leaving only him and his prey. He’s the man neither Xavier nor Emily can deny.
My Thoughts... From the moment I started this one, I was completely absorbed. Riveted to the pages as the story unfolded, weaving its way into my heart and soul. Xavier was dreamy and original. His prowess unparallelled. James was erotic and powerful. A lethal alpha male who pushed all my hot buttons. Emily was a heroine I couldn’t help but love. Beautiful and curious, her temperament on par with someone I could easily connect with.
This story was gripping, entertaining and sensational. I loved every thrilling moment. The author flawlessly lays out a brainteaser I was succulently consumed by.
And those love scenes? My goodness! Perfectly carnal and positively lascivious. The chemistry between James, Xavier, and Emily was scorchingly hot, hot, hot! Absolutely torrid! I couldn’t get enough.
The Wrap Up: I’m a huge fan of this author. If you’ve read my reviews, you know this to be true. I can never get enough of her stories. There’s a reason for this. She writes beautifully, without exception. There’s always something unique in her stories. They are creative, exciting, and I’m always fascinated by the plot and the rapturous journey it takes us on. I’m always surprised by the outcome. Her characters never cease to WOW me on every level. Intelligent, unmatched, sensual and always, always interesting.
PERVADE LONDON is just such a story. A sparkling jewel in her ever-growing treasury of phenomenal reads. I can’t wait for book two!
I'm thrilled you've added PERVADE LONDON to your TBR list!
Writing this erotic novel (MMF) has been an exhilarating journey. I'm deeply in love with James Ballad, X. Rothschild, and Emily Rampling and can't wait for you to meet them. I hope you fall for them like I have.
If you want to chat some more, I hang out in Vanessa Fewings' Romance Lounge on Facebook after a day of writing.
Passionate and intense -007 meets Sherlock Holmes in a fusion of fantasy and intrigue! Fast paced, wickedly sexy, and a great read! Looking forward to Book #2
Pervade London is the hottest book of 2019! Vanessa sure knows how to write them! This thrilling book about Emily, Xander/Xavier, and James will captivate you from the first chapter.
Emily is a violin protege who was encouraged by her deaf mother to take up the violin when she was 8 yo. She is attending the Academy, a prestigious school, on scholarships, and busking in the tube when she meets Xander. What they have is so special and they are very happy, even as Xander tells her she can never ask about his past. Until, after 6 months, his past intrudes in their lives as James. Beautiful, arrogant, terrifying James.
There are secrets between James and Xavier. Personal history. Work secrets. Emily's innocence appeals to James. These three have some hotter than hot scenes that will have you fanning yourself and sticking your head in the fridge to cool down!
We are left at a pivotal point in Emily's life where she has to face the consequences of her actions. Book 2 is off to Jamaica man! Can't wait!!
23-year-old Emily Rampling's love of her violin has competition in the form of her 32-year-old boyfriend turned fiancé, Xander Rothschild. But when she follows him into a posh restaurant months after they first met, everything changes when she comes face to face with James Ballad. James who has a mysterious, sinister connection to Xander, and to whom Emily has an immediate attraction.
As the three of them become involved, Emily starts to realize things are not as they seem, that there are things in both Xander and James' pasts that she doesn't have any grasp of, and those things are a danger to her, to her music, to her loves. But does she back down, give up on Xander and James, let them have all the power in their sexy menage? Not this strong woman!!
I FREAKIN LOVED Pervade London!!! It's super sexy, with scenes between Emily and both men, and scenes between Xander and James, suspenseful and pretty damn mysterious. I'm dying to know what's going on exactly, because I have to say that this first installment of the duet did not answer many of the questions it posed. It titillated and intrigued, but didn't really give much in the way of resolution or revelation. I found myself really rooting for Emily and Xander, but am on the fence about James. No, scratch that, I don't like James, at all. I'm not sure his place in their menage, I'm unsure of his feelings, of his true intent, of him in general, and honestly, he was quite the dick - rude, mean, and cold, even as he burned hot in the bedroom. I adore Emily and Xander, though, so if James is truly the man they love, and he can redeem himself in Pervade Montego Bay, then I can probably give him a pass, if only because Emily and Xander obviously have feelings for him. I sincerely hope I can last until this summer when the conclusion is set to publish, but I'm not sure because I'm dying to know what happens next!!
What the eff did I just read is what I was thinking when I finished this book. I mean I had so many emotions going through me and I just wanted more I needed more because this story is dark and disturbing and everything in between. I mean you have love, pain, control and the most important part of this story is power. You will find that people think they have all the power and control when in reality another person is running the show. My mind was all over the place and even though I have read Menage a Trois before this one effing blew me away.
This is a story about a violinist who thought she had it all until she meet a man named Xander and her whole life changes right before her and her dreams and ambitions are changed in an instant. She has this beautiful romance with Xander until his past comes barreling for him and her life with Xander changes.
See Xander has a lover James that wants him back and is willing to do anything to have him back. He is even willing to share so to speak because James owns Xander and Xander knows this but he wants Emily and does not want to give her up. So Emily is willing to do things she never thought she would just to please Xander and James.
I have to say that when James was introduced I was determined to hate him know matter what because he was a complete arse and I really did want to hate him but as I was reading I found out why he was the way he was and I started to like him. By the end of this book I was leaning more towards like for him but I need more.
Pervade London was a great 5 star read and book one in the Pervade Duet. This was my first read from Vanessa Fewings, I was pulled right in by her writing.
It took me just a bit to get acclimated to the story but once I was, I was hooked. We meet Emily, a violinist who is attending school. Her biggest dream in life is to play in the London Symphony Orchestra. While playing her violin in the Piccadilly Circus tube station for extra money, she meets a man that appears to be injured and homeless. While helping him, her violin is stolen. When Xander offers to get it back for her, she didn’t expect him to actually get it back. He was actually waiting on her steps with the violin when she got home.
How did you…? Get here before me. Wait...how the heck did he know where I lived
She offers him help and gives him a place to stay for the night. Xander was grateful to Emily for her kindness. He finds himself very attracted to Emily but he tries to keep his distance at first to try and keep her from his darkness and past. When he gifts Emily with a very expensive gift she is determined to find him, and when she does things heat up for them.
We then meet James when Emily finds herself in a strange predicament. I have to admit I was a little confused at times as to what was going on between Xander and James. As I got further into the story things got more clear for me. Emily I felt was a puppet at times, her emotions were being played with in so many ways. She ends up having feelings for both men. We do get some very steamy moments from these three. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in the series, I need to see how this ends. If you're looking for a great dark read with some hotness this is a read for you.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Reviewed by MAustin from Alpha Book Club
First of all, this is my first read from this author and I'm impressed with her writing.
Clearly this is a 5 stars read, but I have mix feelings.
This is one of those books that yes grabs you from the first page to the last, blows you away with the plot and the development, but yet you still love and hate the characters and what they did.
I really liked Emily. I like her fragility and naivety, but also her fighting spirit. She doesn't give up easily, she's resilient. From the three main characters, she's my favorite. Emily is 23 years old, she's studying violin and is in her last year of studies. Her biggest dream is to be a violinist at the Royal Symphony Orchestra. She was raised by a single mother, who has been deaf her whole life. She's a lonely person and has no friends. Violin is her love and life. To maintain herself she plays violin in the streets of London and also gives classes to young students. She's living in a small apartment alone. It was no surprise that she left a stranger enter her life so easily, since she was craving human companionship. What seemed off was that she never communicated with her mother during the first book. She mentioned the love for her mother and how much she worried for Emily, but she never reached for her in the first book. That was wired! An other thing that bothered me, was her obsession and blind love for Xavier. Even in the moments when he deserved a slap or a fuck you, she was all lovy dovy. She could defy and piss off James, but when it came to Xavier she was a doormat.
The two men of this story are Xavier (Xander) and James. I didn't like Xavier. I loved and hated James.
Xavier is 32, son of a British diplomat father and Norwegian mother. Highly intelligent, he is a tech genius. He entered Emily's life in a very peculiar way and she was very trusting to let him in, but the guy was in a very bad situation and the Samaritan in Emily couldn't let herself to abandon him. There's an instant bond with them and that was played really well by the author. They fall in love and live together for 6 months. But I still couldn't shake the feeling Xavier was withholding very important information about himself and that his life was a dangerous zone. And by dating Emily he was putting her in big danger. What I didn't predict was that on top of that, his heart was not free. Even though in the story he tries to be caring and sweet with Emily, for me Xavier is very selfish!! He wanted both Emily and James and didn't think twice about hurting her, manipulating her feelings and throwing her and James to each other just to have them both.
James was the most interesting part of the story. I wont reveal who this man is, and what he does, because that's the fascinating and intriguing part of the story. But all I can say is, that he's the most powerful man in UK and he owns everyone. He's not a criminal, he's on the good side! I was completely fascinated with him. He was such an enigma. Discovering parts of him in each chapter was intriguing. The man emanated power, control and smartness. He was sexy as hell, dark, cruel, but also loving. The first time Emily saw him, she experienced things she never experienced when she saw Xavier. She was really gone. I knew her feelings for him were different and stronger. That's why I expected them to shake the story. But it felt like they were stopped by the threesome and their love for Xavier. James and Emily felt like a climax that never was reached. What I didn't like from James was his often coldness toward Emily, it bothered me. Sometimes it felt like he was dying for her, sometimes like he was tolerating her only because of Xavier and she was a tool in the relationship between the two men.
James and Emily found themselves in an uncharted territory, because of their love for Xavier. When they started to feel more deeply for each other they both were scared. I think both were experiencing an irrational love for each other, but with Xavier in the picture they need to share every moment with him and I had the feeling that they couldn't bond as they wanted to. The shower scene was a moment where they both wanted each other so bad, but couldn't act on it because of Xavier. Xavier was between them in every second. I know that this is a mfm romance, but it was very frustrating to see James and Emily experiencing strong emotions and desire for each other, but stop anytime. Even when they were having a moment of confrontation or understanding Xavier would jump in the middle. Seriously I started to hate the guy. Selfish and clingy.
But if I have to choose between them, James wins. I just wish to see James and Emily more close to each other and have their private moments. While Xavier and Emily experienced a six months love story together, Xavier and James were in a relationship before Emily came in the picture, James and Emily never experienced each other without Xavier. The bonding between James and Emily was missing. I loved the few scenes when Emily and James spend time together alone like in the Westminster. I wished there were more James and Emily, so I hope to see things change in the next book.
Anyway since I'm not the biggest fan of triangles, I always tend to love a couple more than the other two. In this case I loved Emily and James, more than Emily and Xavier or Xavier and James. This because I don't really like Xavier.
Too much secrecy surrounds this book. I have enjoyed other books by this author, but this plot is just not for me. I would have given up around 30% if not for all the 5 star ratings, i thought it must get better, and in some ways it did, but not enough for me to continue with book 2.
I really enjoyed this book especially having not read anything by this author before. The storyline and characters were really intriguing, with suspense and romance to leave with you wanting more.
Xander and James were full of surprises and had Emily digging for more and wanting to learn as much as she could. However, the love between the three of them is real and each of them feel the same way instead of one more than the other.
The ending is a cliffhanger and I really can’t wait to rads the next book.
Pervade London (Pervade Duet #1) by Vanessa Fewings 4 stars M/F/M Romance I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this story. It has a lot going on, which makes it interesting, but the story is told in a somewhat choppy manner. While I like that you get a different view point at times, I wish that it was a smoother transition.
Emily is strong. She is resilient and knows what she wants. I liked her right away. She has a chemistry with Xander that is unlike any other. When they met, they had an instant connection. It was hard to argue with their chemistry and their love. However, despite that strong connection, there is something in the background that is lurking, but you can't quite see it.
Xander has a calming influence on Emily. While he loves her without reservation, he knows that their time together cannot last. And, despite not being honest with her about himself, he does love her. Love is a tricky thing for Xander. He wants to be free and to love Emily, but he also left behind a piece of himself.
Then you have James. He was a difficult character for me to relate to or like. He was manipulative and mean. I found him not in the least bit sexy and also was hard pressed to see how Xander or Emily could like him at all. Even towards the end, when you could clearly see that he was worried about people he cares about, because of the way he went about showing that care, I just didn't really like him.
The three of them have a complicated relationship. I will reserve judgement until I've read book 2, because I'm hoping that James shows a little more redemption and that we get more of a resolution in the relationship among all three of them.
Sexy and Sophisticated! Vanessa’s books are always a thrill ride! They encompass everything you want in a romance novel. Pervade London did have a tad more je ne sais quoi. The ménage between Emily, Xavier and James was so incredibly hot. Oh my James....it’s my favorite. He is a riddle wrapped in a mystery and I crave more. ~BREAKDOWN OF RATINGS~

Would I read more from this author? Yes Would I recommend this book? Yes
I enjoyed reading this and love the characters and storyline! This book has intrigue, suspense, romance and a lot more. The characters Xander and James are not they seem to be at first and Emily soon finds out some but wants to learn more. There is a love triangle between the three of them but do they all feel the same way about each other. I was drawn in and could not put it down till I finished reading it. The ending has a cliff hanger and I look forward to reading the next book Montego Bay !
I cried, I sighed and I envied Emily but most of all I loved this book. Vanessa Fewings has a cadence to her writing that reflects the dialogue, she is able to evoke emotions through her words that allows the reader to become one with the characters. I was sorry to see it end and am looking forward with anticipation for Montego Bay.
This book is incredible, the way Ms. Fewings weaves this story. This is the first book that I read in one sitting in years. Emily is an up and coming violinist. She meets the handsome and charming Xavier. Everything goes wrong after he mysteriously disappears. In comes James, the devil himself. He has the power to make changes that would affect many. Pervade London has me at the edge of my seat, it was hard to put down. This MMF story is intriguing and suspenseful.
This book grabbed me from the opening page. There’s a lot going on in this story. At one point my head felt like it was spinning. So many feelings going on at once I literally was out of breath by the conclusion of book one. This is so much more than just a ménage â trois story. It’s a smartly written story full of intrigue, mystery, action, education, romance and heat. In addition to the emotions this story will evoke in you we get to look behind the curtain into what really goes in the world we currently live in. I believe there’s more truth to this book than what the general population is privy to on a daily basis. If we knew how the world operates behind the scenes we would all be scared out of our wits.
I don’t do spoilers cause I don’t feel it’s fair to the author. However, in this case I so want to because there’s so much to discuss.. The chemistry of Emily, James and Xander will leave you breathless, hungover, happy, and sad. You may find yourself understanding more about the human spirit and how it feels to be so different from others. Yes, there is plenty of heat in this book but it comes from a different place. This may sound strange but it’s needed. It’s the outlet and the unconditional love that exists for this trio that helps them deal and cope with everything thrown at them in their individual and collective lives. Although Emily is the female lead, the heroine so to speak, each one plays a vital role on this book. I don’t think I could ever go through what Emily does but it is truly unconditional love. James is an enigma. He’s like a chameleon and does what needs to be done. Xander, is for whom my heart broke. It is beyond my comprehension to have to live on a daily basis with all he has to endure. When you read the book you will get a better appreciation of what his situation is and understand why he needs them both. You’ll also have your villains, people of mystery, and beauty that all add to this complex story.
I feel at this point I have to stop because I so want to discuss this book. Like I said before I don’t do spoilers so I fear I will just keep repeating myself in creative ways. I’m not generally a person who reads many ménage â trois books, but this one drew me in because of the blurb. It seemed like an interesting story and complex book. It definitely is more than I bargained for. I’m so looking forward to book two. I can’t imagine what this author has in store for us but I’m sure my roller coaster ride will continue. Let me also add I read this book in Ione sitting. I couldn’t put it down. Kudos, to the author.
After finishing Pervade London by Vanessa Fewings, I feel like a hurricane has hit me and torn apart my mind. I have no idea what to feel. I have so many questions. I am aroused, intrigued and just hypnotized by this mysterious world and it's inhabitants. I am high from the emotional ride and don't know how to come down.
Emily, a simple girl with extraordinary talent in playing violin is caught in the web of the secret world of power games in London by pure coincidence. She meets two extraordinary men who change her life forever. I was freaking out so much throughout the book. The story has layers after layers. And even after finishing it I am not sure about the truth. The mind games. The dangerous life threatening secrets. The highly erotic encounters with most delicious feelings. The love, lust and heartbreaks. I couldn't come up for air at all.
Vanessa Fewings doesn't write words. She writes dreams, illusions and sensuality. Her words bleed feelings in the pages. She transferred my mind to unreal realms. The two mega rich, super powerful and extraordinary talented men have stolen my heart. I am under their spell. I lost sense of my surroundings. All I could feel was the mesmerizing words of Vanessa Fewings.
Ready to get your mind blown away by Pervade London. It is exotic, enticing and extraordinary. It is mystery, thriller, mind games and erotic romance wrapped up in beautiful writing of Vanessa Fewings.
This book absolutely blew me off of my feet!! I have always loved Vanessa Fewings books. But this one, WOW!! The dialogue, the secrets, the lies, the circumstances. They all add up to make one delicious, page turning read that you won’t be able to put down!!
I felt physically and emotionally Involved from the first word. She drags you into a world full of lust, lies and situations you don’t see coming!! It takes an interesting turn of three people and a secretive, dirty world that is being controlled by one hot, alpha male.
Emily is your female that won’t take no for an answer and stands up for herself and those she loves. She makes the best of a situation simply to get what she wants in the end. She loves and protects as fiercely as possible.
I’m absolutely in love with James, Xavier, and Emily. You need this book in your life today and experience them for yourself NOW!!!
Starting from her childhood and with the encouragement of her mother Emily has always wanted to be an accomplished violinist and has placed her heart and soul into achieving that dream. While attending a prestigious school to perfect her craft she meets the one man who directs her thoughts away from her instrument.
Xander is a man with secrets that if revealed could have devastating consequences. He meets Emily when he needs someone the most, but he didn’t expect her to become his greatest joy and his greatest regret as he knows that she deserves so much more than he can give.
When Xander’s past becomes his present it brings James into their world and although she hates James she grows to love him as well and a relationship between the two develops but with all the truths yet to be revealed is there any way for this to end other than in heartbreak?
This story takes you on a twisty adventure filled with so much heat and so much intrigue that leaves you wondering what the future holds for this captivating trio. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrator did a great job of bringing the suspense and emotion of this story to life.
This story gave me such a mix of emotions. Likable characters, not so likable characters, characters that you love to hate (or hate to love). Then, there's the story itself. Suspense, drama, so many feelings, and some extremely steamy scenes- don't try to sneak this one at work! This author has a way of capturing you from the first few words and taking you on a ride that makes you wonder what you just read, in the best way.
Yes, this is a duet, which means a cliffhanger. However, it wasn't the kind that makes you throw things. I was just left wanting more. Like, right now.
Pervade London is an interesting mix of characters that range from mysterious to the almost naive. This novel is a romance that blends dark eroticism and drama to make this an amazingly engaging plot.
Vanessa Fewings creates characters that have so many sides creating these complex, brilliant people that the plot is based upon. Once again she has done this in Pervade with Emily, Xander and James bring tension, heat and intrigue to the novel.
Overall I loved Pervade London and can't wait for book 2.
I need to gather my thoughts after reading this book. Fast paced, intrigue filled in a crazy James Bondesque manner, extremely hot, at times frustrating through unanswered questions, a bit mad, in the best way;did I mention hot? Filled with twists and turns that will have you spinning, Pervade London is a book that rewards the reader in its delightful outrageousness. Xavier and James! Delicious! Emily: feisty, talented, clever, witty, determined and much more adventurous than she appeared to be! I was left feeling I should read it again again immediately so as to relish each naughty, thrilling minute, and I will, just before the next book crashes onto my kindle!
