The heroine of the story, Molly, is at a crossroads in her life. She's recently been certified as a teacher, and her boyfriend has run off with her best friend. She's not having much luck at a job fair until a mysterious woman offers her a position at a very exclusive school for young women. She is not told much detail but decides that this new challenge could be just what she needs to restart her life. She is whisked away to the school in a stagecoach, of all things--this is a contemporary story!

What surprises are in store for her at the school! She discovers that the students are being protected as well as they can be, but the clock is ticking on when harm will befall them. It is her job he tried to keep them safe, both from the curse and from each other, while trying to figure out solve the curse dilemma.

I enjoyed the mysterious beginning of this book. The prologue set the tone, giving the setup of why this school existed. It was clear that the headmistress of the school did not want to divulge much until she took Molly away to the school. Everly Academy is a place of secrets, lies, and double-crosses, which makes it a fascinating world to watch unfold.

If you enjoy stories about strange goings-on at a mysterious, mystical school, you might enjoy this gripping read.

I received an advance reader copy, but this did not affect my review.

Fairy tales - but not as you know them!

Molly has finally found a job as a teacher. But, this isn’t a normal school… Once she’s in, she’s stuck in a school full of fairy tale characters she can’t leave until she helps them break the curse an evil coven of witches has set on them.

I really, really liked it. In fact, I would even go as far as saying I loved it. Such a fantastic story idea! A uniquely, magical experience. An enchanting tale! And it was very more-ish. The story itself would have deserved 5 stars…

But I had to deduct a star because there were sooooooo many mistakes. Maybe this isn’t fair of me, because I did read an early copy and the mistakes could be edited out by now, but there were so many! Or should I say ‘their were so many’. Or ‘they’re were so many’. I even had to turn automatic spell check off, because it wouldn’t let me write this! That’s the kind of errors that I found throughout the whole book. Whole instead of hole. Be for instead of before. Fair in square instead of fair and square. Read instead of red. I can’t imagine all the errors are edited out now, but if they are, I do apologize.

One other thing: please match the cover with the description. One of the first things mentioned is that Molly had chopped her long blond locks off! As beautiful as the cover is, it just doesn’t match up!

A cliffhanger at the end leaves me wanting more: I will definitely want the read the next installment! This is just the beginning of a fantastical journey.

Everly Academy is where princesses go to hide from the witches who have cursed them with night terrors and eternal life. Molly is a naive ingenue who accepts a teaching position there, unaware of the true nature of the academy. Eventually she comes to care about the girls and tries to help them break their curses.

The writing was only so-so. It was like the author had lots of ideas of different plot devices, and couldn't settle on just one goal. At first it's one thing, but then, without indicating any change in the narrative, all of a sudden the characters are looking for a different solution, but still speaking of it as if it were the original one.

It's not a complicated story, but the first-draft, poorly-edited nature of the writing made it difficult to read without getting distracted. It's the first book in a series, and I'm invested enough in the characters that I'm interested in seeing it through, but I hope that there are some notable improvements.

A truly unique tale of "Grimm's Fairy Tales meet the Hunger Games" at Everly Academy. Molly is a new teacher hired to teach 10 girls. She soon learns that the girls are part of fairy tales and are cursed. The author changes the names of the girls from their original stories which makes them seem more real. Each character is well developed and interesting. I found myself drawn into the retelling and turning pages until the end. I am invested in the story line and looking forward to the next in series. Received a copy from Hidden Gems and this is my voluntary and honest review.

When Molly arrives at Everly Academy to work as a teacher to 10 teenage girls, the last thing she expects is to meet fairy tale characters who are cursed and she's supposed to help break the curse. While the clock is ticking, Molly might be the key to unlocking the secrets behind the solution.

An original approach to classic fairytales characters. The plot is intriguing and well defined, and each character is like a piece of a puzzle, who when combined create the whole picture.

The book ends in a cliffhanger. I'm anxiously waiting for the next instrallment.

I've read about magical schools, mage schools, dragon schools, well this is one I have never come across.

All fairy tales are real and each princess & fairy tale protagonist was cursed by witches to pay for their father's actions more than 200 years back. Back in the present time all these princess live in a secluded academy where they strive to find a way to break the curse.

As a concept extremely interesting
As a book very intriguing
Plot - well written
Imagery - Vivid
Characters - real

This was perfect. I loved the story. You need to find a way to break the curse before the time runs out. Oh yeah by the way - there are ten girls and we have five cure anyway - better see who will get them. What a way to foster enemies at the school. Of course I thought this was full of action, and twists that kept me on my toes which is what I love in a book. I can't wait to see what will come up next.

Interesting Concept

Well written story that keeps you turning the pages. Molly accepts at teaching job at Everly Academy without knowing a thing about the job, or even the name of the school! Mysteries abound and many exciting adventures await Molly and her ten students. Nothing is as it appears. Strong women persevere using their intelligence and bravery. Deeply satisfying read. Looking forward to the next in this intriguing series!

Great first book.

I looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I’m hoping there’ll be a book for each adventure and princess. There’s curses that need to be broken and the girls need to work together with the help of their teacher.

This was a great first book in this new series. Everly Academy is a magical place, where it’s residents are locked in the curses of their fairy tales unless they can find a cure by the next blood moon. Full of magic, adventure and betrayal, this story draws you in from the beginning and keeps you eagerly turning pages to the end.

The characters were well-developed and the plot was wonderfully creative. I can’t wait for the next story!
