Better books on the subject of self discipline are out there. In fact, I would say almost all books out there on the subject of self discipline are better than this one.
Pros
Nice cover. Definitely makes you think there is something substantial in there.
Easy to read.
Cons
Editing. This book needs professional editing and formatting. Paragraphs were spaced funny, no spaces after periods, cutoff lines. Either the file got messed up in the upload or Mr. Winters lacks the self discipline to double check his work.
Repetitive and meaningless sentences. There are several paragraphs I read before I stopped where he said the same thing in just a slightly different way again and again and again all in one paragraph. Dude is either trying to play off not being as smart as he thinks he is, had nothing to say but felt like he had to say something, or had a word count goal and padded this shit like a cell.
Poor examples. If there were any examples of self discipline directly given they were vague, unsubstantial, or from the myopic gaze of the military being the foremost example of discipline and even then only with a sentence or two to back this up. It reads like someone who watches YouTube videos of military trainings and instantly thinks they know everything about. Now I don't know Winter's background so I can't speak for that, just only his words that are presented to the reader.
Speaking of YouTube, this does read like someone who is trying to transcribe a motivational video while trying to make it their own.
Never has so much been said and meant so little. As I stated in the beginning there are better more thorough books on the subject written by people who know what they are talking about. Go get those books and enjoy the pretty picture on this cover while you read them.
