The Ch-khana haven’t given up in their efforts to annihilate the entire planet of Cassiopeia, and this second attempt leaves Raven both frightened and vengeful.
The Ch-khana from the Andromeda Galaxy had retreated to Earth after failing in their first attempt to obliterate the entire planet where Ani Maxima and her family lived. But it becomes soon apparent that they haven’t given up. After another massive attempt on the lives of everyone on Cassiopeia, Raven, Ani Maxima’s little sister starts plotting her revenge. Unfortunately, when a woman who has the mental capacity of a toddler seeks revenge, her choices may not be appropriate.
Raven also has a plan to take charge of the Ch-khana destroyer that still remains in orbit above the planet. But little does she know that the ship isn’t quite so willing to have humans aboard. See, that ship still has a viable AI and it knows that the original crew has been incinerated somehow. It also knows when Ani Maxima steps aboard and that’s not acceptable. This is the second installment in the final trilogy “Ani Maxima Salvation”, told from the viewpoint of Raven Maxima.

EDITORIAL REVIEWS:
"McElhaney's story telling is deft, well-paced, and with an ear for conversation" ~ Akron Beacon Journal Book Review
"The author does a good job of sucking you into the moment and feeling as if you are the main character. The technology and scenarios are realistic enough for this sci fi fan and if you like a good storyteller, Mr. McElhaney knows how to do it." ~Top 50 Amazon Reviewer, Hall of Fame Reviewer, and Vine Voice Michael Gallagher
Given 5.0 out of 5 stars over 100 times on Amazon from various readers of the Mystic Saga!
Scott's first novel, Mommy's Choice, was originally published in paperback under the pseudonym Scott Curtis. In under a year on the bookshelves, that novel won the National Christian Choice Book Award for romantic suspense. When Scott moved to a different publisher and started making his novels available to Kindle readers, he returned to his real name and reduced the prices to the absolute minimum allowed by Amazon. Scott McElhaney currently resides in Ohio with his wife and two sons. He's a Desert Shield veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS South Carolina CGN-37. Although his books didn't become available to Kindle readers until December 2011, over 250,000 digital copies have been purchased to date and he still maintains a position in the top 100 worldwide in the "Sci-fi Space Opera" category.
Obviously it's weird for a writer to review their own book, but Goodreads allows it, so yes, I think it's worthy of five stars! I say this jokingly, of course, but in reality, I think all authors write books that they wish to read, so they should love what they write! I wanted to note here that this second trilogy is both fun for me to write, and heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking because after the third book which I'm currently writing right now (the 12th book really in the Ani Maxima series), I will be done with this series. I love Ani Maxima and all her friends and family, so it's going to be hard to let go. I've decided today, however, that if it's too painful, I may do a spinoff series one day. After reading this particular book, you'll be fairly certain who exactly would be that main character should I ever decide to go in that direction. She's adorable and loveable, just like Ani Maxima has been. So who knows...
I chose to wait until book 2 before I wrote a review. I liked book one a lot, although I was having trouble following along with Raven as she learned to speak. Thankfully, as it's pointed out in book one, once she speaks a word, it's easy for her, so obviously she would progress exceptionally fast... hence this book which is narrated by Raven and she speaks perfectly clear just 3 weeks later. Now, we've got 3 angels who can work together in a much better fashion than in book 1. It was understandable that they fumbled about in the first book simply because they were discovering their abilities for the first time. Now, 3 weeks later, they are a bit more serious and refined. I can't wait to see what book 3 has to offer, especially if the rumor is correct that this is only a trilogy and it will wrap up the whole Ani Maxima series
