Edwyn Gray is a British author who specialises in naval writing. Educated at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, Gray read economics at the University of London and then joined the British civil service. His writing career began in 1953 when he started writing for magazines. His first book was published in 1969, and he became a full-time writer in 1980.

This is listed as book 4 in the series but it should be book 3. If you plan to read all four books read book1 then2 then 4 then finally 3. That way you can read them in the proper sequence. Someone messed up on the numbering of these books

A Good series spoilt by many typos

Many typos spoilt a good series - should be read in order books 1 2 4 3 to preserve chronological sequence of events contained therein
