Stacy Claflin writes about complex women overcoming incredible odds. Whether it's her Gone trilogy of psychological thrillers, her ongoing Transformed paranormal saga, or her Seaside Hunters sweet romance series, Stacy's three-dimensional heroines shine through.
Decades after she wrote her first stories on construction paper and years after typing on an inherited green screen computer that weighed half a ton, Stacy realized her dream of becoming a full-time author.
When she's not busy writing or educating her kids from home, Stacy enjoys watching TV shows like Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, and Once Upon a Time.
A story about a writer struggling to get his book published. A story about a dance instructor trying to get away from her past. But mostly a story about another Hunter-brother finding the love of his life. Another wonderful story! I couldn't stop reading! I received a copy and chose to review it.
This was a good read. Zachary has come back home. Here he meets Jasmine and they hit it off. However, her life is turned upside down when her mother shows up. Luckily together they get through everything and they get their happy ending.
The Hunters Boxed Set - All the stories of the Hunters Series are good. I've read several more of the eight besides the boxed set.
Seaside Surprises #1 - Pleasant surprise! Since this was my first book by Ms. Claflin, I was surprised. The author did great job with her writing, characters, and plot, which immerses the reader into the story. It's refreshing to read a decent book without explicit sex and profanity and stupidity. I'll be reading more of Ms. Claflin's book. She ranks with Maeve Binchy.
Seaside Heartbeats #2 - Intriguing. Another well written, funny romance with heartwarming characters that are real and a twisting plot giving suspense to the story. The Hunters are a good family and each story is fresh, no repeats.
Seaside Dances #3 - Little sad. A well written, intriguing romance with a couple of not so happy characters and all the rest of characters in this series. The plot twists from a sad, slow beginning into fast moving happiness. Not my favorite book of the Hunters series, but still an interesting read.
Seaside Kisses #4 - Heartwarming. A well written, interesting romance with well developed characters with realistic dialog and a good plot. The Hunters' stories may end the same way, HEA, but getting there is different for each Hunter and soulmate. Ms. Claflin does not disappoint the reader with these eight books.
Seaside Kisses - Unpleasant surprise. The author did a great job writing this book until the main characters went stupid. Why do many authors have their main characters stop believing the people they love and trust the word of people they don't know personally and know those people are usually scum/trouble? It was an unpleasant surprise, when one of my favorite authors did this near the end. A smart, successful woman goes stupid and insecure, instead of doing the right thing. But Ms. Claflin did take the heads out of the nether regions and put them back on the shoulders of the woman and the love interest. This was still a good book and the author is still one of my favorites.
Bayside Promises #8 - A heavy but with humor story. A well written, intense romance with interesting, believable characters. The heaviness of the father's destructive behavior towards his family damages his daughters, but they still have a sense of humor, although love is difficult. I didn't like the father, because of his destruction, but not everything is sunshine and roses. This book is kinda like watching Die Hard when it first hit the screen, it involved your emotions too hard when the causes were exposed to the girls' thought processes. It is a good story and worth reading.
Bayside Destinies #9 - A heavy but heartwarming story. A well written, intense romance with an intriguing dilemma for the main characters. The characters, all known to us from the rest of the series, are still interesting and appealing. The dialog is realistic and the plot immerses the reader fully. The book is full of humor, even with the dark subject material. Another hard to put down book by an author who can write an interesting story without vulgar language and sex.
Bayside Opposites #10 - Heartwarming romance. A well written, lighthearted romance with two wonderful characters, actually three including the great state of Texas. The well thought out plot and developed characters keep the reader in suspense until the book ends, which is way to soon since the story is so good. Ms. Claflin never fails to deliver a good story and I look forward to reading more of her books.
Zachary is the brother that has always wanted to be an author, but being rejected in LA, he has come home, dejected and broke, moving back into the bedroom at his parent's home, that he used to occupy. Brayden convinces him to go to the gym with him, where he works off some of his frustration on a punching bag. Leaving the workout room, he literally runs into a person who is about to turn his world upside down. Jasmine is doing an internship at the dance studio, housed together with other activities, such as karate and gym. She would have preferred a larger establishment to intern at, but her friend Kate had wanted to work at Kittle Falls for the summer and both of them had secured work. Although Kate pulled Jasmine out most nights to the concerts on the sand, Jasmine wasn't interested in that scene. Finding the handsome guy who had run into, sitting reading from a digital reader, had her interest quirked. He seemed shy, although his good looks would normally have made him one of those shallow guys, that were full of their own self importance, talking to him proved this not to be the case. Okay, I have given you enough of the story, to show how different it is from the norm. You need to read the full story, to fully understand how wonderful and romantic this little tale is.
Wow, what a story, I have read the 1st two books of this series and absolutely loved them and didn't think they could get any better, but boy was I wrong. Stacy Claflin is an amazing author and the books just keep getting better and better.
Jasmine in on an internship from her dance school and will be graduating after her summer in Kittle Falls. Zachary comes back from New York feeling like a failure he cannot get a book published, he's now single, broke and living with his folks can things get any worse for him ? Bullied into going to the gym by his brother Braydon he literally bumps into the most gorgeous girl in the hallway of the gym ! He had said no more women after his last girlfriend but he cannot get Jasmine out of his mind, unknown t him Jasmine cannot get Braydon out of her mind. Is this Love, lust or strangers in the night? Keep reading for the most amazing novel of family, good friends laughter and some love thrown your way. Another brilliant novel from Stacy Claflin
Zachary is back home from his dream of become a successful writer in New York, living with his parents again and with no money. He is still grieving the death of Sophie, the youngest of the siblings. When he bumps into Jasmine in the gym, they feel an instant connection. Jasmine is trying to have a life of her own as far as possible from her broken family. Can they heal each other and have a future together? Lovely couple.
I enjoyed reading this book and being reminded of some of the Hunter brothers from previous books in this series. This is Zachary's story as he's an aspiring author just waiting for his novel to be published but his agent keeps delaying the process. Of course there's romance mixed with family issues and life choices that make the story very interesting.
Another enjoyable read in the series. Zach is such a sweetheart and so is Jasmine. Jasmine didn't have the greatest upbringing but the Hunter family are the ones to give her the kind of family she wanted. Both characters seemed a little lost in life and it was nice to see them grow and find themselves and each other. The storyline kept me interested and I like Stacy's writing.
All the books in this series are sweet stories with deep down good people just trying to live their best life. Zachary and Jasmine are no exception. Both have real world problems and dreams and they realize that together they have a better chance at achieving and enjoying those dreams.
The book reminds me of the song "Could I Have this Dance for the Rest of our Lives?" I love reading this series and catching up with the brothers I gave it 3 stars because of editing errors.
This was sweet, with great personal growth from both characters. The conflict was realistic and the characters were relateable. A great beach read with depth! Sweet, clean, I'd rate it PG.
If you want to read a great series I recommend this author and her novels ❤️ they will keep you reading until you reach the climax and wish it would continue
After living in New York for a few years, Zachary feels like he has been chewed up and spit out. His writing career didn't take off like he had hoped, he lost his job at the local newspaper when it closed down and his ex-girlfriend is one of the biggest jerks around. He is in desperate need of a fresh start and decides the best option would be to move back home to Kittle Falls. But with rejection after rejection, he has no clue how to move past it to get himself back on track. Finding love was the furthest thing on Zachary's mind. In fact, after his last relationship, he has sworn off women for good.
Jasmine had one of the worst childhoods. Growing up with alcoholic parents, never having money and having nothing but negativity around her, Jasmine's life could have turned out a whole lot different than it did. She had decided long ago that she would be the one to break the cycle. She graduated high school, went to school to become a dance instructor and was on the verge of getting her certificate. All she needed to do was complete her internship in Kittle Falls and she will officially be an instructor. With so much to accomplish, she doesn't have time for love.
But a chance encounter with each other has both Zachary and Jasmine rethinking their stance on love. Jasmine is just what Zachary needs to face past hurts, inspire him to start his next book and help him take the biggest step in his career. And Zachary is just what Jasmine needs to prove that not all relationships are like the ones that she grew up around. True love, trust and loyalty can be found in relationships, you just need to have a little faith.
The Seaside Hunters is such a fun series! I really am enjoying it. Seaside Dances was definitely a good addition to this series. I really enjoyed Zachary and Jasmine's story. It was believable and I liked seeing the roles reversed a bit. Jasmine being the strong, bold one and Zachary being the shy, nerdy one. I was kind of worried about this working but I'm happy to announce that I was pleasantly surprised. The execution was really done well. I can't wait to read more by Stacy Claflin. She is definitely being added to my favorite authors list. :)
I've really grown to love the Hunter family through reading this series. Yes, they have their ups and downs and are nowhere near perfect, but they really watch out for one another and are there for each other.
This story shows us the life of Zachary (not Zach). He's an author and a dreamer and has just returned home from the Big Apple, after trying to make it big as a writer. He's a little disillusioned and down on his luck. He's one good looking nerd and is more into his stories than he is into real life. A chance meeting with Jasmine leaves him impressed, but he's not one who is going to go after her--especially since he's also recovering from a broken heart.
Jasmine comes from a tough upbringing and is doing everything she can to break the cycle. She isn't one to shy away from going after what she wants and that includes getting to know Zachary better. She is the one making moves and in a way, it was refreshing to see a woman take charge of the relationship without being overbearing. Her forward approach is exactly what Zachary needs to get out of his rut--until she pushes too hard.
Zachary is quite sensitive and dramatic, yet totally likable. I really enjoyed the personalities that seemed to jump off of the pages, as well as the way the relationship developed at a quick, yet natural pace. The setting is incredible and I adore the characters. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series!
Content: mild romance (kissing); talk of death, drugs, alcohol in an informative way (about a character). Clean!
*I received a copy in exchange for an honest review*
Zachary Hunter returned to his parents' home in Kittle Falls when he could not get his book published and his relationship was over. Jasmine Blackwell was in Kittle Falls to do an internship at a dance studio. They literally run into each other at the gym and soon develop a friendship. Something about Jasmine inspires Zachary and fuels his writing ability. Jasmine realizes she is falling in love with him but also wants to pursuit her career as a dance instructor. Things are turned upside down in her life when her mother turns up on her doorstep and literally turns her life to ashes. Jasmine wants to help Zachary with his career but does something that makes him wonder if he can trust her. They have to overcome their lack of trust due to their pasts to have a future together. This is another very good book of The Hunters series
While the Seaside Hunter books are short and I finish them within a day or two, they are nevertheless light-hearted and pleasant. I don't have to focus too hard on the plot which is nice and, although they're predictable in their outcomes, it is nice to see how the main characters work out and set aside their differences in order to make their relationship work.
I liked Zachary because I could see elements of my own personality in him, although it was good that I disliked him in his overreaction. Jasmine was also an easy character to like as well as empathise with, like Tiffany in the first novel, because of their family circumstances.
I will continue to read this series because they are nice little romances to enjoy, albeit if they only last for a day. I would recommend these books to those who like easy-to-read romantic novels.
Seaside Dances (Seaside Hunter) By Stacy Claflin Zachary Hunter a dreamer and a creative writer who had to return to Kittle Fall to live with his parents since he his book was reject from the publishing houses in the big apple. Jasmine Blackwell was at Kittle fall to do an internship at dance studio for the summer, she hoping that this will help her to land a place in one of the highly known dance school. It all starts when Zachary bumps into Jasmine at the gym where she works. When Zachary met Jasmine he was enlighten but sadly his heart is still recovering from a break up. I gave this book a rating of five out of five on Goodreads.
Jasmine wants her own studio. She is a dancer and loves to teach. Zackary Hunter is an author. He has been really hurt by trying get his career off the ground and into his life comes Jasmine. They both have some past issues to deal with, but if they can work things out this couple could be just perfect for each other. At this point this was my favorite book in this series of clean and interesting romance novels. The author did a good job of keeping us interested in the lives of this family and the new members that are being added among their number.
Another nice romance from Stacy Claflin's Seaside Hunters series. Zachary is a more creative introvert than his brothers. He falls for a dance instructor. She has her own drama going on. But together they find romance and happiness. I liked the story and the series. I like that the characters of the prior books show up again. I like how the characters have normal flaws and seem real.
I've read the first two books in The Seaside Hunters series so I couldn't wait to tuck in with this one.
I wasn't disappointed. Zachary and Jasmine both have their own baggage to deal with but their problems take a back seat when their romance buds and blossoms.
Stacy Claflin's writing is amazing! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
It is so nice to catch up on all the the Hunter boys. Stacy has created a wonderful town and it's citizens one you wish you could visit. There is a lot of emotion no bad language and no embarrassing sex scenes to put up with you can bet I will be reading about the Hunter cousins. Happy Reading
I think this is an excellent story. Zach & Jasmine are very much opposites. She is very sweet. Zach is an author who can't get his first book published. He is enamored with her when they run into each other. Their relationship develops but then he turns into a scrooge until his brother talks sense into him.
