"Sweethearts" is the Ruby and Theo.
A really heartwarming love story with a jock hero who falls head over heels in love with the curvy heroine and goes out of his way to woo her. She is reluctant at first, but soon gives in to his pursuit and they have minor struggles, before ending up in a HEA.

I can always count on this author for a safe, dramatic steamy read.
Colm knee the minute that he met Abby that there would never be anyone else for him but her, but the world he was a part of slowly pushed her away, being a fixer for a powerful mafia family wasn’t something he could just up and walk away from. He wanted out, to make a life with his wife but he was too late figuring that out and she walked away only now six months later he’s back to take what’s his and a plan on place for a new future for them both. Can he convince Abby to take another chance on them?
Abby walked away from her heart the day she left Colm, but she never expected him to let her go. It’s been six months since she left him and he just vanished but now that he’s back and demanding her to go with him. Can she trust her heart to him again or is this just going to end up as heartbreak all over again?
Great fast paced story with everything you could want.

This is the thirteenth book in the Curvy Women Wanted Series by Sam Crescent. This series has been either hit or miss for me and while I did like this one I didn’t like how it took the H so long to make a move on the h. Theo West is a senior in high school, he’s the star of the football team and the most popular. For six months he’s been watching Ruby James and he’s become slightly obsessed with her. When he finally gets the balls to ask her out she laughs it off thinking he’s joking. Eight years ago Ruby’s dad walked out on her and her mom and it’s been just the two of them ever since. She’s insecure and lacks self confidence so when Theo asks her on a date she figures it’s a trick. Theo is determined so he asks her out again and she says yes. Theo really likes Ruby and he realizes she’s apprehensive so he’s determined to prove to her that he’s serious about the two of them being together.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for a short, sweet but still hot story. Sam provided this with her usual flare. Theo and Ruby are seniors in high school. He's the football star of the team and she's the girl who keeps her nose in her books. I loved that they didn't straight away have sex but that Theo had to prove himself to her with his slow "wooing" of her. They got to know each other. Also liked the fact that there was little drama with other high school girls and that Theo's friends were actually kind of nice. When the sex did happen, oh boy!! It was hot!! A quick and hot little read!!! Loved it!

I loved it... I love books where guys have crushes on their girls and did everything they could to prove their worthiness and their dedication to the girl. And this one, Theo was just too sweet man. He fell in love with Ruby and even though she didn't believe that someone like him would want her, he proved it to her over and over again.

Sweethearts is book thirteen in the curvy woman wanted series. This story is short, fast paced and sweet. I read this book in one sitting and was left wanting more. Theo had wanted Ruby for years. When he finally plucked up the courage to ask her out, Ruby was a little wary but after a few attempts, she accepts. I liked Ruby. She was attracted to Theo but she was wary of him. As Theo is in the popular crowd and an all-star football, Ruby thinks he is playing a joke on her. I totally understood why Ruby was wary of Theo, especially after Theo’s friend’s comments.
The chemistry between Theo and Ruby us clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked that Theo never gave up on Ruby and that she finally gave him a chance.
I liked Ruby’s reaction to her fathers return. I totally understood why she was the way she was. I would have reacted exactly the same in that situation.
Overall, I really liked this story. I liked everything about it.

This book is too sweet to be real.
I enjoyed this story. High school sweethearts and all their dreams coming true according to the HEA. However, I was annoyed with a certain aspect of this story.
The male lead stated many times that he had been watching her and loving her for years but yet he wasn’t a virgin and he also stated that his first time didn’t mean anything. Meanwhile, he is being uber patient and understanding on the meaning of her belief that kissing let alone loosing your virginity is meaningful.
Had the author acknowledged his first time as being before he saw her. Or as his way of trying to forget her. I might have understood it better. But as it stood it came off inconsistent of the character. Just saying.
Enjoy. Can’t wait for the next in the series.

I love the curvy series 😍 this was a fast pace book.. very cute.. tiny drama.. and im sad this one i didn't connect with the MCs.. like ruby she felt very naive to me and kinda stupid with her questions..whenever she talked to Theo.. which was meh.. or maybe it was high school teens.. that turned me blah..

It's always nice to read a green-young-loved-lasted-forever kinda story. And this one served that and so much more. With in-depth background story on MCs, though not so much on H, the story built up thrill and expectation as the story rolled out. Loved how H is OTT alpha with sugary soul and crazy honest attitude!

4.5 Stars. Not happy about her father returning after 8 years only for Callie to accept him so easily like he never left. Even Ruby has a more realistic reaction on her father's return.
Theo is such a gem. Showing even her father how to be a better man in handling his responsiblities. Not to mention, the love he has for Ruby, she so deserves. So happy for them!

So sweet! Short yet enjoyable and very well written. I would’ve loved something a little longer just because I enjoyed them so much, but I feel like if the author had elaborated on the other aspects of the story, it would’ve taken away from the main characters, so I get it. Would definitely recommend :)

Good, but a little rushed
This was a very good read but I did feel it was rushed to the point of missing the connection I usually feel when reading one of her books. I would still recommend it just don’t expect the hot and heavy emotional ride she usually gives you.

This was an enjoyable story of young love. Theo was a true gentlemen dispite his chosen profession. The care he showed Rudy was not only sweet but heartfelt. Highly recommend

Theo has wanted to date Ruby since he sawa her down the high school halls. These two show that opposite do attract. Theo is a jock and loves hard rock but also a softy. Ruby doesn’t like football or hard rock. She also didn’t understand why Theo wanted to go out with her. She is everything he wanted. Let’s face it. How many high school sweethearts are a success? In this one they make it and then some. We even find out about Ruby’s mom and her parents split. It is definitely high school sweethearts success.

Nice & quick
Theo was damn sweet and determined. Ruby didn’t have much character though. The story was short and sweet with a nice HEA.
Would’ve liked it much more if I’d been able to get it on KU though.
