Breaking the Double Agent

Rate this book

KATRINA The CIA sent me to spy on Valentin Dmitrovitch Zukovsky - the Avtoritet of the Solntsevskaya Bratva, the most terrifying criminal organisation in Moscow. He caught me, instead.

Now I'm his prisoner - chained and helpless, about to be stripped and interrogated by this towering, tattooed beast of a man.

But as I hang from chains in the dungeon of his former-KGB stronghold, it's not abject terror I fear when this looming monster stares at me.

No - it's something else...

Because there's a secret warmth in those icy-grey eyes of his. There's an unexpected tenderness to the grasp of his huge, tattooed hands.

Maybe I'm mad for even imagining it... but I think there's a chink in Zukovsky's iron armor...

...and maybe I'm the one woman alive who can pry it open.

VALENTIN The murderous criminals of the Central Intelligence Agency sent another sneak-thief to spy on me. Only, this one is different.

I caught her. Chained her. Stood poised to break her, like I've done countless others...

But there's something to Katrina Simonovicha that makes me stay my hand.

Something intoxicates me about her...

Perhaps it's the fearsome determination in her big, brown eyes. Maybe it's the generous curves to her well-fed body. Perhaps it's the fact that she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen - and I wonder if the comfort I've sought my whole cold, lonely life is to be found nuzzled at her breast...

In any event, I want more from Katrina than just information.

I want more from her than just her cries for mercy.

I want to break her - to make her admit that she feels the same powerful attraction that I do.

Because she represents the worst of the imperialist west, just as I represent the worst of the icy east.

But together? Maybe we represent the best and brightest hope our two countries have.

Breaking the Double Agent is a full-length espionage romance novel featuring scenes of explicit sensuality, red-hot menage encounters, and a thrilling story line with a contemporary twist that will have you on the edge of your seat. Enjoy!

This was a short quick read that I liked and wished was longer. This was my first time reading this author so I didn't know what to expect. Katrina is a CIA spy who was sent undercover with a British spy into the Russian Bratva when they are caught by Valentin Rachovsky the head of the Bratva. Valentin is the most feared of them all because he tortures his victims he is also a hot sexy Alpha male. This sex scenes in this book were hot Katrina is fearful of Valentin but not for her life she fears how her body reacts to him. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

HOT!! It is a good short tale. *I* wish it had been longer. Needed to more of the lead up to this instance and more of the aftermath. It looks like I need a couple more books of these characters!

This was a great book and very current with the reference to the multiple attempts to frame our president. I love the fact that most of the "heroes" in her books are bigger than life and while they are supposed to be bad and terrible men, they are always ready to be soft and loving for the "right" woman. This book had some twists that some might have missed but I guessed correctly early on but that did nothing to diminish the enjoyment I received from reading as the plot was revealed. This book (like most of Simone's) is not for prudish readers as there are multiple explicit sex scenes but like most readers, that is just one of the reasons I like her books. Nothing beats a little life diversion like reading about her characters. GET THIS BOOK and all the others by this author.

I purchased this book and willingly and voluntarily provide my review.

This was a really good book by Simone. This does have some political references, but it doesn’t take over the story. Valentin is the head of the Russian Bratva and Katrina is a CIA agent. Valentin is happy to have her in his clutches. He wants to find out who she is and why she is there. She doesn’t break down like he hopes she would. There are a couple very hot and steamy scenes. Valentin wants to keep Katrina forever, he thinks she is The One for him. They have explosive chemistry and they are deeply attracted to each other, even though Katrina tries to fight it. This is an insta-love story. Can they be together despite what they both do for a living?

CIA meets Russian Mafia

Katrina is spying for the British, alongside one of their own. The target: the head of the Russian Mafia. They manage to get into his building with little problem, posing as history professors seeking to study the KGB records archived there. Their problems arise when Katrina gets caught trying to insert a USB drive into Valentin's computer. What lengths will he go to in order to get to the bottom of their mission and will she survive it?I
Loved it!!! Great characters, great story, great surprises!!!

Didn't see some of that coming!

Having just finished the Butcher Boys, I had to go and read this book, since it happens prior. This book was hot! Much more action like I'm used to reading from this author, plus some unexpected twists. I was glad to get to see the beginning of Valentin and Katrina, because the other book had left me curious. Now on to the next one to see what happens next!

Hot Mafia Dark Romance

I enjoyed reading this exciting dark romance with many surprising twists and turns. Simone Scarlet always delivers well written hot romances with twists and turns to keep the reader interested and guessing (or trying to guess) the outcome. I recommend this book and look forward to Simone Scarlet’s next book.

Valentin is every females dream

Great strong alpha male character here. He is just like her character from another book I read. There is nothing wrong with a confident man that takes care of his woman. Yes Val heads the Russian Mafia and he is brutal. Understandably, sometimes a man has to be exactly that, ruthless.

I read this book as a member of Scarlet Simone's ARC team. I enjoyed this book very much. Lots of very sexy moments and a great HEA. Although I do not follow politics, I was able to understand the concepts, whether fact based or not, and enjoyed the story

Katrina is with the CIA. She is sent into Russia with a partner who works for a British intelligence agency. Unfortunately, they are caught before they can complete their mission. Valentin Zukovsky is a powerful figure in the Russian mafia and doesn't take spies lightly, but one look at Katrina, and he is smitten.
Wow, sizzling hot characters, in a deliciously dark and dirty plot with espionage and suspense. I loved this book, fantastic!

I am voluntarily leaving an honest and nonincentivized review of this book.
