Ok I love the science and I love the mystery. The characters have become important over this series ARC. What I think comes through is the AI/ Human building that sets the scene for the Orion war and Tanis involved series further along in the timelines. The scenarios in these series of books also rings very true to life with human behaviours and you imagine these are actually real life events, not imagined events set in a future that is from a collaboration of excellent writers minds. So it is quite easily 5 stars and a demand for even more from these two.
Another strong book, and after the events of book 4 in the series, it felt a little lighter in pace which was a nice change, though plenty of dark subject matter covered in this story. I liked the actions the crew were undertaking in this book, makes me think that it is how an Ocean's Eleven film would be (having never seen one of them). Nice to see a bit more of the cats in this book too, they add another dimension and a bit of humour to the tale. All round a very good story, with a strong finish.
I really enjoyed this book! It works well as a stand-alone story as well as being a worthy finale to the Enfield Genesis arc. The characters are well developed and likable (mostly), the dialogue is crisp and realistic, the science fiction is believable, the plot is interesting and twisty, and, of course, I love the humor. I also especially love the lack of emphasis on sex, cursing, or perversion. Lisa Richman can WRITE!
This series has stayed fresh and the final episode left me wanting more. This last one took a little while to get going but when it did it was worth the wait. I look forward to seeing whatever comes next.
Have really enjoyed getting to know some background on these characters from the main story line......and now,I want more!!!! Really hope you and Lisa get together for some future book's (hint -hint)😉
Lisa Richman and MD Cooper have given us an exciting look at some of the events that led Terrence Enfield and Jason Andrews to the colony ship Intrepid in these five volumes! Sirius gives us a very good read and a strong end to this series.
