So, about Jill. She's a voracious reader since the days of Frog and Toad and Pippa Mouse. From there she ran into Little House on the Prairie (in fact, the first stories Jill imagined as a child were about being Laura's twin sister and when Jill's mom made her a bonnet, that kinda sealed the deal for Jill's imagination). And everything Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. And never forget The Boxcar Children. By the time she would have normally started in on the Sweet Valley High books, Jill discovered the be-all-end-all of angsty feels for the teenaged soul - VC Andrews. From there, it evolved naturally into Danielle Steel and...well...it never stopped.

Jill fell in love with what was dubbed ChickLit - the books of Jill Shalvis, Charlaine Harris, Sophia Kinsella, Janet Evanovich, Susan Elizabeth Philips...for the witty humor that got me through some rough adult times. Lori Foster, too.

And of course, Nora Roberts (Ryder Montgomery, anyone?).

Never. Stop. Reading.

I'm *really* not the best audience for established couples having relationship problems stories.

The story was well-written, and the MC's likeable, but totally not my jam.

Also, the complete lack of any steam, even of the make-up variety, added to the overall feeling of 'blah' for me.

3 stars.

New to me author. This was a short mm contemporary novella, about Corey and Brandon. They have been together 5 years and having a rough spot. I’ll read this author again.

Supercute book about Brandon and Corey who have a major fight around Valentine's Day. Then we're told, in nicely done flashbacks, how they met and got to where they are. Another breezily yet superbly written book by Ms. Wexler. Lovely emotional heft infuses this short little gumdrop of a book. Really enjoyed it.

Wexler did an amazing job of covering highs and lows of a 5 year relationship in only 44 pages! Great short!

Communication

Super short, I wish it had gone on just a teensy bit longer, but it packed a lot into a few words.
