NOTE: This is book 1 of 6. It is a series so all your questions may not be answered in book 1.
This well written book has good storytelling, interesting characters, and realistic dialogue. The idea of an owner hiding as a regular worker to donsome good in the world is definitely a bonus.
Up front, I want to say be aware that this is a first in a series, and while it doesn’t exactly end on a cliff-hanger, there is certainly no resolution or completion to the story, so be prepared either to be disappointed, or to be ready to go on to the next book. I, for one, fall into the disappointed category, as the story doesn’t interest me enough to continue the series.
I thought the premise of the story sounded really interesting. It started off well, and I loved the parts about the story they were investigating, but I grew very tired of the two main characters being so distracted with each other while investigating a poaching ring in South Africa. I likes the characters and thought they complemented each other well. I just got really tired off him obsessing over her finding out his true identity and both of them obsessing over each other.
While I appreciate the author’s attempt at a deeper story, I wish it would have had more of the intensity and the suspense of the poaching story, and a bit less of the focus on sex and the push/pull (should I or shouldn’t I?) of the relationship. Left me underwhelmed.
Hot Off the Press: Steamy Action & Adventure Romance This is a thriller so far as I have being reading / romance / boy meets girl etc and detective story all together I thought I was going to be bore with it but newpapers / poachers gave a twist to my way of thinking .So now I am 508 pages into this book .
