Stoicism: How to be a stoic and find happiness in daily life

Rate this book
While we often associate happiness with materialistic possessions and the attainment of material goals, we fail to realize that happiness is never about attaining more stuff or having the best of everything. Happiness is in this very moment, in the simplicity of things and in accepting things as they are. If you start to truly nurture this viewpoint, life would indeed become very peaceful. This is one of the principles in stoic philosophy.

This book will give you a short introduction to the history of stoicism and a few of the most know and influential practitioners of the philosophy. The book dives deeper into some of the main principles of the stoic philosophy and how these can be utilised to achieve a more balansed and happy life.
