Emma Glass’s "The Witch's Path" is an enchanting journey that weaves together tales of magic, self-discovery, and the delicate balance between nature and humanity. From the very first page, Glass immerses her readers in a beautifully crafted world filled with rich imagery and thought-provoking themes.
The protagonist’s journey is both compelling and relatable, as she navigates the complexities of her identity and the expectations placed upon her by society and family. Glass’s character development is one of the book’s strongest points—the protagonist evolves in a way that resonates with anyone who has ever felt the weight of the world on their shoulders.
The prose is lyrical, almost poetic, and the landscape itself feels like a character within the story. Glass's vivid descriptions bring the natural world to life, allowing readers to feel the magic that pulses through every tree and stream. Each chapter unfolds with a blend of suspense and wonder, keeping readers engaged and eager to turn the next page.
One of the most striking aspects of "The Witch's Path" is its exploration of themes like empowerment, the connection to nature, and the importance of community. Glass handles these subjects with grace and depth, prompting readers to reflect on their own lives and beliefs.
However, at times, the pacing can feel a bit uneven, especially in the middle sections where the story lingers on certain aspects longer than necessary. Despite this, the overall enchantment of the narrative carries it through, culminating in a satisfying conclusion that leaves readers both fulfilled and thoughtful.
In summary, "The Witch's Path" is a beautifully written novel that invites readers to explore the complexities of life through the lens of magic and self-discovery. Emma Glass has created a compelling tale that resonates with the heart and spirit, making it a must-read for anyone who appreciates a touch of the fantastical in their fiction. Highly recommended!
Don't get me wrong , I have thoroughly enjoyed these books so far, but it has taken 6 books for the main character to cast her first spell. Each book is a slow journey from start to finish where a little teaser is set at the end, ready for the next book. But not a lot is actually happening. There is the expectation of the lead character being the main instigator in the saviour/destructor of the world, but we are only a little bit nearer each book. It just seems there should be a bit more happening in each book. The constant talk about about the end game, just get on with it already and then put a new plot in place, after 6 books we should be there already. I do suspect though that, that is not going to happen for a long time yet. Where has the relationship between Clara and Elliot gone? It seems to have fizzled out in this one and has definatly not moved on at all. I will be reading up to date with the books that are out so far as they do follow on but if I do have to start waiting for the next one, then I may not come back to this saga, I may just have moved on, and a lot quicker than this current plot line.
I zoned out on this one so much I felt lost a lot of the time. Like Nikki making an agreement to do things, then the upset that they sent her to do things despite everyone's agreement, did I miss something?
The books are so slow that in most of them, nothing is really happening. I was so annoyed with Clara in the last book, I had a lot of trouble reading this one. I feel done and frustrated with the process.
Clara as a character is increasingly annoying. There isn't any real resolution for what she did in the last book. Just a, it's fine let's not talk about it energy. She seems to forget she wanted to learn here, while then having a woe is me attitude for having to deal with her actions. She is a child. And while I get having a child act like a child, this far in, we should see growth instead of her continuing to devolve into a petulant child.
I have the box set so I'm continuing, I'm so close to the finish line, but at this point I feel like I'm wasting my time and torturing myself for no good reason.
I'm hooked. This series has brought my love for paranormal fantasies to a new high. The characters are strong and bring their own personality to the stories. Each book has a story within the story. A human joining a separate vampire world turning out to be a witch. Worlds upon worlds coming into chaos and about to crash together ending all . Can't wait to see what happens next. Great reads excellent author what more do you need.
Much better! At last the story moves forward. Great to read more of Nikki (gotta love her) and develop her as a more prominent character. So now Clara is learning magic, not too successfully, and we find out more about what is/might be happening. There were still a lot of errors in the writing but didn't detract from the story too much. I just wish there was a bit more depth. Maybe look at some of the "old school" fantasy writers, Eddings, Kerr and Kineally to get an idea of how to build the world while still keeping the adventure going!
Another too quick book. I love this series but am getting impatient by the all too brief novellas. This one got into the Seven Portals and Clara’s training. But where is the romance between Elliot and Clara!? It’s beginning to be too much of a YA book series. I need for Elliot’s and Clara’s relationship to move further!
I loved this series but for some reason book 6 disappointed me. I felt it lacked the spark and magic it had in the previous series. Got totally bored reading it. I wish there was more action and stimulating events but I felt like this book was rushed.
I continue to like the story line and it's got me hooked enough to want to read the next. A better line editor would make the story better all around as there where more mistakes in this book than the last.
This series just keeps getting better and better! Vivid plot, twists and turns abound. And characters so well written and developed it's like watching a movie in your head while reading! Loved it
Four stars for grammatical errors. Editing, people. Please. The story was good. The grief as magical.fuel was powerful to read. I am getting a bit burned out with the same old same old. Move it along...
I love this series , the books have you gripped to find out more about there worlds. Their lives and what will happen to the them. Just a fantastic read
The series just continues to be okay. Entertaining enough for a mindless ride home. This book was better than the last one by a margin. Nothing truly exciting to share.
