i read this book as part of an arc program. This is another book in the Calisto Brothers series. In this book, we see Cole again, after being introduced in Austin's story. Cole is Austin's twin brother and plays pro football for the Dallas Cowboys. Cole is a known playboy and after another disaster of an engagement, he needs to clean up his act or the coach threatened to fire him. Cole asks his best friend Brix's sister Ava for help. Ava is a former cheerleader who was injured and now runs a charity to help other cheerleaders who were hurt and ended their careers. Ava also is a public relations expert and when Cole asks her to be his fake fiancee she agrees because the press are nicer to Cole when he is in a happy relationship. Ava sets ground rules for Cole, but she is attracted to him and finding it hard to stay away. When Ava's best friend tells her to enjoy her time with Cole, she gives into her attraction to him and they begin a real relationship. Ava and Cole grow closer, but they are still planning a fake wedding, only the closer the wedding gets, the more they want it to be real, but can't admit to each other. I really liked Cole, i thought he was sweet and i think he really did care for Ava. Ava cared for Cole, but because of their history and her own personal issues, she didn't think she could be happy. Another good one from this series.

His Pretend Love by Ryli Jordan. This was my first book I read by this author, and what a great one to start with! She has a great style of writing, it's just fits perfectly with me!
This book was funny, emotional, romantic, sexually charged with the perfect amount of heat, good length, and fabulous imperfect characters! The HEA on the ARC was a bit abrupt, but as a great author that Ryli Jordan is, she created an epilogue afterwards based on the feedback she got back, it was a perfect ending to Cole and Ava's rocky road to their happy-ever-after.
Cole Calisto was Ava brother’s best friend and teammate in addition to being the league-leading running back for the Dallas Cowboys. He was a magnet for women troubles. The tabloids loved him or not?!

Ava Hensley walked around the ballroom, checking the setup for the fundraiser she was arranging. Lola followed her to let her know the latest news that Cole Calisto, her brother’s best friend and Dallas Cowboys’ teammate, got arrested again in a bar fight.
Upon returning to her room to get ready for a meeting, Ava heard loud music coming through the door. A naked Cole walked out of the bathroom to grumble when she turned off the music so whoever was there could hear her calling out. Her bedroom was a disaster, every towel and washcloth thrown on the floor, her expensive dress for the event thrown into a heap, her makeup scattered and broken or spilled. Cole acted the same way in college, but this time her brother, Brix, would have to deal with it. Cole is going to need Ava’s help to save his career, but this will be the most difficult task she has ever had to accomplish! Will she be able to change his ways before he drives her crazy?
The story line was good. I had read an unedited copy originally which had tons of errors, but the author had them corrected and it makes all the difference! Therefore, I bought the book and revised my original rating.

Cole and Ava are so perfect together in this wonderfully crafted book. Ryli Jordan is a new Author to me and what a way to discover the talent this Author has. In this storyline, he has a poor public image and needs her help. Cole is actually a sweetheart of a man and as it happens, he is best friends with Ava's Brother. While they have known and tormented each other for years, they do have a secret history. Ava has a love to hate relationship with Cole, or does she? Find out right here in this superbly designed book. I truly could not put my kindle down and was hooked from beginning to end.

ONE SWEET TEMPTATION!!!
Oh man, talk about a spectacular ending. This read is as captivating as it is riveting from beginning to end. All the twists, turns and unpredictable events along with surprising circumstances that really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You feel everything the characters feels, you hurt, love and cry right along with them. Ryli didn't hold back or pull any punches, she threw it right out there and it all came out brilliantly. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really brings this amazing tale to life flawlessly. Remarkable job Ryli, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Cole is a star football player his life is all partying, fighting and getting arrested and he’s got a bad reputation. Ava is in public relations she has been asked by her brother to see if she can help Cole clean up his reputation and his life, but Ava doesn’t know how to help him when she finds out that he is still as immature as he was in college. But in the end they both agree to a fake engagement and as they spend more time together and get to know each other and work together, so when did the fake engagement start to feel real?. This is a great story and I enjoyed it immensely and I recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

I love this series so much and even though they can be read as standalone I feel you would benefit from reading the entire series to get the full story.
Ava and Cole have known each other for years as Cole is Ava's brother's best friend. When Cole is in another scandal Dex, Ava's brother asks her to help Cole's reputation and she agrees as it is what she is trained to do as her job even though her and Cole are always at loggerheads. I definitely recommend you read this book as you will not be disappointed.

This is a wonderfully tender story of two souls grasping for things that they do not realize that they even need. Luckily life sometimes works out where you discover to one’s amazement that what they want is right in front of their nose.
What begins as fake turns into not only love but a love where one grows into a better version of themselves and opens a new world that they never dare dream would ever be possible.

Cole is a star football player and typical bad boy, and Ava is his best friends’ sister, who is a public relationship expert. In order to repair Cole’s reputation he ends up in a fake engagement arrangement with Ave. These two are total opposites, yet together they are perfect. This is a well written story, which has me hooked and intrigued throughout. I recommend this authors’ work for all lovers of a second chance romance.

Especially after they had one night together and he never called her. So when he needs her help cleaning up his image she doesn’t want anything to do with it. But he convinces her to give him one more chance. Can’t hurt, can it?

This is an interesting story. Cole have an bad boy image, but he been misunderstood of his action. He is an clear example of act finish and deal with the consequences later.
Ava, is more of the caution. She thinks first and act on it later. They both fit well with each other.
The story is well over all, even tho there have been some confusion in the story of who talking and etc

A MUST READ!!!! Cole is known as a player, sexy beyond words, gorgeous, charming and has a grin to melt the coldest heart or......... Ava is beautiful, smart, funny, sassy, and strong. Both have flaws. Their relationship is all-consuming, wild yet tender. Just enough drama to keep the story interesting. Hot enough to burn up the pages. I recommend wholeheartedly.

I enjoyed reading this book but found some parts to be confusing. Ava and Cole knew each other a long time and even had a one night stand. At her brother's request, Ava decided to help Cole improve his image by being his fake fiancee. The story was pretty entertaining.

Good book great characters and the drama was crazy funny. I wish it was a little longer because it left me wondering if they ever have kids. Also how is it that her brother and friend had been seeing each other and she didn’t know about it. But over all it was a great book I loved it.
