I had heard a lot of great things about this book, and I was not disappointed! Sarah gets right to the heart of our battles with fear as parents with raising Godly kids in a very ungodly world. She then gives bible based advice that is practical and easy to implement, so that we can combat that fear with God's peace and strength and send our kids into the world with confidence and faith.

While I didn't agree with all the opinions of the writer of the book, the over all ideas presented were good. She gave me a lot to consider that I hadn't before. Definitely worth the read.

Fear is such a real struggle for many parents. And that makes sense because there would be a lot of things to be concerned in raising and shaping the life of another person. For Christian parents a very real fear can develop about how to raise godly kids in such an ungodly world. I hear it all the time. And Sarah does such a great job of firmly pushing for parents to refuse to be afraid, but instead to boldly go into the mission they've been called to, by recognizing what it looks like to raise your kids to be salt, light, and love.

A group of women and I read this book together for our mom’s group study. I absolutely loved everything Sarah had written and her honesty and vulnerability. Often times as mothers we question what if we are doing this parenting thing right. Sarah directs us to lean into Jesus and to not be afraid to go with the “crowd”. Something we can easily get sucked into in today’s society. If you struggle with the boundaries of parenting in today’s society this is the book for you.

I just text my friend group this excerpt:

“If you fail to see your children as children of God, belonging to Him instead of belonging to you, you'll miss out on the opportunity to partner with the Holy Spirit to raise godly kids in this ungodly world. Worse, you'll upset Jesus.”

Sarah so poignantly points all mamas back to our God-given purpose and reminds us of the incredible gift we have in raising these munchkins! Going to be gifting this book to all my friends!!

I started this book before my first baby was born and it definitely led to some great conversations between my husband and I about how to raise our children in God’s word. I loved all of the tangible ideas of ways to be “doers of our faith” within our home. I’m keeping this book close for when our child is a little bit older!

This book is great! It is such an easy read as the author just makes the Bible clear for her readers. She is a mom who shares relatable stories of life and helps you to bring God into your child’s everyday life. This would be a great read for a moms or parents Bible study and has questions that can guide a great discussion.
