Dolce tentazione

Rate this book

K.C. Lynn is a small town girl living in Western Canada. She grew up in a family of four children—two sisters and a brother. Her mother was the lady who baked homemade goods for everyone on the street and her father was a respected man who worked in the RCMP. He’s since retired and now works for the criminal justice system. This being one of the things that inspires K.C. to write romantic suspense about the trials and triumphs of our heroes.

K.C. married her high school sweetheart and they started a big family of their own—two adorable girls and a set of handsome twin boys. They still reside in the same small town but K.C.’s heart has always longed for the south, where everyone says ‘y’all’ and eats biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

It was her love for romance books that gave K.C. the courage to sit down and write her own novel. It was then a beautiful world opened up and she found what she was meant to do…write.

When K.C.’s not spending time with her beautiful family she can be found in her writing cave, living in the fabulous minds of her characters and their stories.

Ew, these kinds of books disgust me.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

How could an author think it's okay for a guy to 1) have sex with another girl who bullied the heroine 2) have the heroine hear it 3) spend the night with the OW 4) the heroine DOESN'T MAKE HIM GROVEL ONE BIT. Why do we have authors making women EXTREMELY WEAK? Does she truly think this is romance? This stuff disgusts me. 5) He doesn't grovel at all, she forgives him IMMEDIATELY and is turned on by him. IS THIS A JOKE? I will not read this author. I'm really curious about her justification about that scene. And "she was mean to him" doesn't cut it. You know what? He cheated? Okay, that's realistic. I don't need a justification for that. How about why she didn't even stay angry at him for more than a second? He just had SEX with a girl who BULLIES her and immediately goes to the heroine. Her reaction is SO UNREALISTIC that I truly believe this author likes writing heroines who are doormats and spineless.

4,5 “I WANT A PIE!” Stars.

Grace is a amazing pie-maker that’s running away from her past. Sawyer is the sexy Ex- Seal who just moved into town to open a gym with his two best-friends. Considering their common friends are now getting married, Sawyer decides that he and Grace have to know each other better and in the process, the former playboy ends up falling for her.
So when her past threatens to catch her he will do anything to protect her. But if everything isn’t enough?

I loved this book! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because a specific scene at the beginning that goes against “my likings” and it’s a pet-peeve of mine.
K. C. Lynn is a new-found author of mine but I’m finding that it’s pretty hard for me to resist her books. She always create the sexiest alpha-males, the sweetest heroines, she have dogs (and I’m a dog person!) and her stories are always sweet, steamy and action packed. What’s not to love?
Besides, her books are always wonderfully written and I always have a great time reading her book. This was no exception.
So what are you waiting for to start this series?

Characters Development: I really liked Grace, she was sweet, and humble and a little sassy. Not to mention it was impossible for me not to like her when she “adopted” Chucky! Sawyer was great. I love how alpha-male he was and at the same time so sweet. He didn’t have any problem changing his ways for Grace and still kept being a little cocky. Loved him! I also loved Mac, Sawyer’s family and the rest of the gang. I can’t wait for Cade’s story.

SPOILERS
I really thoroughly enjoyed this story and it pains me deeply not to give it a higher rating but one scene in the book destroyed my whole vibe and good feelings towards Sawyer. This book would have been great for me if she left out the scene of Sawyer banging another woman because his wooing of Grace wasn’t going according to his plan. And to top it off she shows up at his place to apologize for yelling at him and hears the two going at it. He claims he has feelings for her, he kisses her and hugs her, walks her home at night and the minute she pulls back a little he gets drunk and fs a woman he hates. She pushed him away because of the horrible ordeal regarding her attack and her mom’s death and she just learnt that her dad wanted nothing to do with her and instead of understanding her grief and her pushing him away he takes it as a hit to his ego and needs to bury himself deep in someone else. He said multiple times he knew from the moment he met her that she was his, that she was special, that she was it for him. If he knew that why did he sleep with another woman? If that part of the story wasn’t there the rest of the book was pretty good. He was an alpha a-hole and I wanted to punch him at times but he wasn’t insufferable and he was more sweet than a-hole. Grace was a beautiful character who deserved so much better than Sawyer and his wondering tool. Without that scene the two had good chemistry together and made a pretty good couple. In the back of my head I kept thinking if they hit a rough patch will he seek comfort elsewhere or will he be able to work it out? Grace went through absolute hell and she deserved the moon and more and I am happy things worked out for her in the end.
I wish more authors would stop writing books that glorify manwhores and disgusting behaviour. I see these books get rave reviews but nobody really wants a man like that in real life. Nobody wants a walking STD. I wish these women would write more honest and worthy men and women who won’t put up with their antics.
I will give this author another shot but I am really tired of weak women and manwhore men who will sleep with anything, even women they hate just to get off.

There's no denying that I love to read! When I come across a series that really grabs me, I can't help but devour it! Men of Honor is one of those series that I absolutely adore! I cannot rave enough about these hot men and their women!

description

We met Grace in the first book in the series. She might be your typical shy, sweet, damaged girl...and yet she is full of spirit and brave to her core. Sawyer fell hard and fast for Grace. The only problem is he is your typical man whore and doesn't know anything about becoming a one woman man!

"I can’t stop the big, dumb smile that’s plastered on my face while I walk back to my truck. Oh yes, I will be seeing her tomorrow and everyday after that if I have anything to say about it. IIt’s nothing but a mind-f*** to figure chicks out. Pleasuring them? Not a problem. But understanding them is something I have no clue about. But this woman makes me want to figure her out. I’m starting to realize there are many sides to her. She’s beautiful, sweet and sassy."-Sawyer

Sawyer knows he needs to tread lightly with Grace. She is obviously a survivor. He isn't quite sure what her story is but he knows he wants to figure her out. Things start slow between these two. He walks her home from work, some innocent texts, and before you know it the spark is lit. Sawyer is just down right funny! His inner dialogue is enough to make you heart melt and your face light up with a smile!

"When she talks all soft and sweet like that I’m willing to do pretty much anything she asks, which is dangerous. I should just hand over my balls to her right now."-Sawyer

Sawyer is not perfect. When Grace is tentative (remember she doesn't really think she is good enough), Sawyer makes a serious error in judgment. Grace is devastated! This moment in the story was crucial. For one thing, we see a deeper side to Sawyer's best friend Cade. Cade is there to comfort Grace. The other thing is when Sawyer realizes what he has done, he won't stop at anything to fix things.

Just as tensions are rising with our beautiful couple, an old menace from Grace's past threatens to reap havoc in her life again! Sawyer doesn't hesitate to swoop in and save the day. (Have I mentioned that he is a bit of an alpha male control freak?)

description

As Sawyer and Grace grow closer together, he realizes that he LOVES this girl! He takes her home to meet his family. Sawyer has had to overcome hurt between himself and his father. Grace eases his pain and moves to heal the hurt between Sawyer and his dad! Let's just say healing is a beautiful thing!

description

"Realization strikes deep: that the sad girl I met a few months ago, has a smile now that radiates true happiness, one I’ve never got to experience until now. And I decide right this very second that I will spend the rest of my life making sure she smiles like this every day."-Sawyer

description

Overall, Sweet Temptation offers all of the perfect ingredients for an unforgettable story: great characters, high steam, beautiful love, good friends, interesting family dynamics, and just enough action to spark that protective spirit in our hero that we all love! I highly recommend this series. The only negative thing about this read was Grace's accent to grate on my nerves occasionally. (She says ya' A LOT!) However, Grace and Sawyer's story is amazing! I would definitely re-read this one and recommend it to all of my friends!

"Just as I’m about to set her down, she cups my face and looks at me earnestly, “I want you to know, Sawyer, all it takes for me to be happy is to have you near me. Just knowing that I’m yours makes everythin’ better.”- Grace

“You’re mine, baby… always.”- Sawyer

Bad. Sweet Temptation is nothing like the title. The writing is my major issue. It needs a good editor. The story does not flow nicely/ smoothly. Instead I feel like reading pieces of copy and past from other books and jammed it together.

I thought the sex scenes at least hot, but I was wrong. Because of writing is bad, the characters are not well developed. I got characters who just hunger in sex. The plot is not helping. Hence the sex is dry, and cringe worthy.

Anyway, I still have another book in this series. Not looking forward to read it actually.

So ... I see my "to read" list and notice that this lovely book has been published?! Thus leading to me devouring it within mere hours ... I am speechless. I read the first one and it was REALLY good but THIS BOOK ... THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE ... OH MY! Pure perfection if you ask me! I was blown away by the incredible story and of course the characters ... seriously K.C. Lynn you WOMAN have officially up'd the expectations for a BOOK BOYFRIEND because Mr. Sexy Sawyer was just phenomenal. I literally could write this whole review solely about the perfection of that fine specimen. He was hilarious like at points I had to put the novel down to have a laugh attack and then there were points where he just touched my ♥ and I would cry but then he'd make me feel better because he sure knew how to ruin a moment. I was a HOT MESS while reading this novel and I know FORSURE without a doubt i'll be re-reading and I RECOMMEND this book; this series is ONE TO LOOK OUT FOR.

Baby, but don't be. I'll protect you, Grace; I fucking swear it ..."

Cupcake:I'm madly in love with you.
Sexy Sawyer:I love you too, baby ... I'm glad I found someone who loves me as much as I love myself.

Can you imagine how damn good looking our kids are going to be, Cupcake...?

The stakes and my expectations have definitely exceeded for the next novel and I CANNOT WAIT to finally read about Cade.

I think I did like this one more than the first book. Other than the hero making a pretty stupid drunken decision early on in the book, I liked him more as a character, he was more light-hearted and funny.

The heroine, to me, felt like she could have been interchangeable with the heroine in book 1. I am not a huge fan of characters speech being written in slang or an accent. And it felt like it had only been done just so his family could go "oh what a cute accent" and for her to be all "what accent?"

Not to mention yet another female character who is completely unaware of how she looks or that the hero might be interested in her, as she thinks he is out of her league, yet manages to dress like a play boy bunny in short shorts, tight vest, that ofc her her nipples poke through, and thigh highs. Because this is JUST apparently what she wears to bed, and despite her virginal status and apparent lack of any sort of confidence in herself, she just so happens to get changed into this outfit while the hero is in her house.

Maybe I am not cut out for NA/YA. Although when you get an ex military guy in his twenties and a woman living on her own, and working etc, they should not be acting like they are 15. Which is the same complaint I had about book 1 really.

It is a typical plot really.

Man whore hero who just needs the love of a good woman to change his man whoring ways.
Sweet and innocent virgin heroine, yet manages to dress like a sex kitten while being all innocent of the fact that she dresses like a sex kitten.
Slutty ex or wannabe GF of hero, who is ofc usually a bitch, because you know what, double standards do not matter to the heroes in these books.
Some sort of tragic horrific background of either the heroine, hero or both.
Some sort of drama.
The heroine, despite possibly having an awful background +/- low self esteem, is usually perfect in every way and manages to fix something that has been broken a long time, with one magical sentence. Or is immediately beloved by all the H friends/family. Unless they are bitches or sluts at which point they will inexplicably hate the heroine.

Cupcakes, pies, sweets. All so yummy. And tempting. Just like this book. Lick your lips good. You will want Sawyer with frosting on top. And some sprinkles. Yes...Sawyer with sprinkles. Fan-freaking-tastic.

Warning: This is the second book in the series. It could be read as a stand alone, but you would be a little lost and really mad at yourself for not reading the first one.

We met Grace in Book 1 as the shy girl who has recently moved to town. She is working at the diner. She is cute, sweet, a bit reserved. More guarded. Like she has a reason to be guarded.

If I let myself feel the full strength of my pain, Sawyer, it may just kill me.

And Grace is a kick ass baker. Like her pies are out of this world good. Sawyer would know. He spends a lot of time in the diner just watching her. The pies are really an excuse to be close to her. Sawyer is bold, brash, cocky, sexy, confident. I could go on and on. And he does.

Sawyer pursues Grace like he was getting a Merit Badge for it. Lets just say Sawyer is no typical Boy Scout. He would have badges in dirty talking, swagger, foreplay, and a few other nocturnal badges that involve being prepared and imaginative. And cussing. That boy gets a Eagle Scout Award in cussing.

...you don't just matter to me baby, you fucking belong to me, every sweet goddamn inch of you.

I love Sawyer and Grace Oh. So. Much. They take care of each other. They stand up for each other. Grace brings out the protective side of Sawyer. And Grace needs protecting. She has more than just nightmares to remind her of her past. Sawyer gives Grace the confidence to break out of her shell. In a way, they give each other a family, either by creating it or fixing it.

Sawyer is the perfect recipe for Book Boyfriend. Sexy. Tough. Scarred on the outside. And a soft center that you want to cuddle. YUM.

And Book 3? We get a glimpse of Book 3 at the end. I have 2 words for Ms Lynn. Type. Faster.

RECENSIONE QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.com/...

description

Featured Song: With or Without You - U2

I loved Grace & Sawyer. Their romance was entirely enjoyable. A new favorite ❤️

“If you could go back and change one moment in your life, what would it be?” I expect him to say that horrific week in Iraq, when such cruelty was inflicted upon them, but he doesn’t. Instead he says something that I will remember for the rest of my life. “It would be to find you sooner, because I would have never let anyone hurt you.” His words are strong and sure, his green irises holding mine.

Ms. K.C. Lynn, I'm sold.

✔️ A besotted alpha hero.
✔️ Deliciously steamy scenes 🔥
✔️ Off-the-charts chemistry 💕
✔️ Perfect dose of angst. Not too high, not too low.
✔️ A cute rescue doggie 🐾
✔️ Yummy pies 🥧 😋
✔️ Sawyer Evans, my new book boyfriend 🥰

In this moment, as I hold her warm body against mine, I know without a doubt that God made this beautiful girl just for me.

Only two small grumbles:
The HEA was a little too perfect/saccharin, maybe even unrealistic.
The epilogue sets up the next book in the series. I prefer when it's about the main couple.

5 Cupcake stars!

Now after reading this book, I have a stupid grin on my face :D

Loveeeed it!
Story about Grace and Sawyer, we have met them in the first book of this series...
Grace is a shy girl, working in a diner and trying to live her life after very ugly past ... and Sawyer, a ex navy and cocky womanizer ...
She doesn't fall for his charm so easily, and that's what drew him to her in a first place ...

He is here when she needs him the most, when her past is back in her life...
Sawyer is so amazing, true alpha male, I loved being in his head, I was laughing out loud at his thoughts ... but also he is a very sweet and lovely man who cherish what's his ... I would die to have a man like him ...

I knew after reading the first book that this one will be even better, and I wasn't wrong :) ... can't wait for the next one ...

2.5⭐️

“You will not break me, for I am unbreakable. I will live with integrity, fight with honor, and die for what’s right. My watery eyes lift to his, and I find him”

- Who is the Hero? Sawyer Evans, Age: 26, Occupation: co-owner of gym

- Who is the Heroine? Grace Morgan, Age: 21, Occupation: waitress and amazing pie-maker

Plot overview:
- When she was seventeen, Grace came home to find two men in her house and her mother raped and bloody. She was also attacked, but survived and after her mother’s death she was sent to live with an uncle - who she considered the devil.

Sawyer is an ex Seal who has just opened a gym with his two best friends (who are also ex Seals).

Sexy Sawyer and Cupcake (aka Grace) met in book 1 (I think) and Sawyer wants to get to know Grace a lot better. Sparks fly and danger abounds as these two become a couple.

** The following are my thoughts about this book: **
* * Sawyer ticked me off. There were a couple different incidents where he was insensitive when it came to other women and how his actions made Grace feel. And then he gets all possessive when she talks to a different guy. Also, I’m never a fan of a guy who sleeps with another woman After he meets and is attracted to the heroine. I thought Sawyer was selfish and a jerk at times. I was hugely disappointed in his actions and never fully regained a good opinion of him. .

* * The heroine’s accent drove me a little nuts at time.

* * At times, I was a little confused with the characters. I’m guessing they were introduced in a previous book (which was a DNF for me), so I missed all the backstory. Therefore, because I didn’t understand the character dynamics, I had a bit of a disconnect.

* * I’m wondering too if the detail of how Sawyer got his scars was also in a different book. He had zero PTSD related to what he went through, and it was glossed over. Yet, it sounded like he had pretty severe scarring and that he and Cade went through something major. I just felt it was a big part of Sawyer’s life and I didn’t have much context around it.

* * Sawyer needed to Big Tine grovel after a couple different incidents - but nope. Instead we get Grace lusting after him and that made her a bit pathetic to me.

**Overview:**
- Content Warning: the prologue is a home invasion with a rape and murder. It is not overly descriptive, but still impactful
- Setting: Sunset Bay (in South Carolina, I think)
- Do you need to read previous books in series?: characters from this book were a big part of previous book, so it would be helpful. Although, I will say the previous book was a DNF for me.
- POV: Dual POV
- Hero likeable? not really - all he could think about was sex. At times his comments made him seem immature.
- heroine likeable? in the beginning she seemed strong, but honestly I felt like she became a bit of a doormat once she was with Sawyer
- h virgin? No
- First time they kiss: 16%
- First time they sleep together: 60%
- Safe sex? Condoms were not used but being clean was discussed before they did anything.
- First time they say I Love You 78%
- steamy? Yes. Descriptive bedroom scenes
- Chemistry? meh - I struggled with these two so I wasn’t really invested in them. Therefore, that’s probably why I didn’t feel the chemistry
- OW/OM drama? Yes!
- H/h cheat? technically, they weren’t together when Sawyer slept with another woman. But still, he had made it clear he was interested in her and was pursing her, so it was a shitty thing for him to do just because he didn’t get his way.
- Time apart? Nothing significant
- Did I skip pages? some. Like I said, I didn’t love this couple so the bedroom scenes weren’t interesting to me
- Big secrets? they both have stuff from their past they need to share
- Did I cry? No
- Did I laugh? No
- Did I swoon🥰? No
- Cliffhanger? No
- HEA? Yes
- Epilogue? Four months later
- Recommend? Not really. Sawyer could have been so much more and very swoony, but his actions and immaturity ruined the story for me.

Quotes:
“All I want is to belong to someone.”

“If the bad starts to overshadow the good, baby girl, then dig deeper, because you’ll end up havin’ more of it.”

“It’s good you still try to see the glass half-full, Grace,” he speaks again. “Whatever you do, don’t lose that, because once you do there’s nothing left.”

“You once told me that everyone should belong to someone. I’m asking you, Grace, to belong to me for the rest of your life.”

Beware of Spoilers!

Star Ratings:
Heroine (Grace): 20yrs old – 3/5
Hero (Sawyer): 26yrs old – 3/5
Plot: 2/5
Grovel: none
Cheating: see triggers
HEA: yes
Triggers: rape, abuse, OW drama

Average score: 2.5/5

Best Line: none that felt believable to me

Worst Line: “Yes! Fuck me, harder!” – this is what the h hears when she goes to the H to apologise – H fucking another woman

Personal Review:
Another so-called friends-to-lovers romance where the H can sleep around because he is ‘just friends’ with the h EVEN after declaring his feelings for her. Oh, and the h forgives him for sleeping around because they are not ‘in a relationship’.

Random Ramblings:
•I am interested to know more about Cade
•Skipped chunks because it was too similar to the previous book and started to annoy me

Overall Feeling:

Did I not just read a book just like this one? Oh yeah I did…the previous book by the same author…same exact formula

I did enjoy this one, although not as much as the first one. Grace and Sawyer were awesome together and this was another sweet and steamy story from K.C., but Grace was just a little to OTT with her "Southern" accent. I'm from the deep south, born and raised and still live here.. and Grace's accent and talking style was just way too much....but the story was great and Sawyer was an amazing man... plus all the side characters that were present in the first book in this series and we've got another winner from K.C !

Hero is cocky as hell, but it ends up kind of working as he's pretty entranced with the girl...if you try and forget that he had sex with the mean girl that bullies the h.

Heroine is a pretty good at stomping out when he crosses lines and there's some groveling when he messes up.

3.5 Sweet as pie Stars

Woo hoo! Another great book from this author. I loved Grace and Sawyer...especially Sawyer. We met each of them in the first book but we learn a lot more about each of them, obviously, in this one. I knew Grace was on the run from something, which intrigued me and made me start this book right away, but I had no idea her story would be that crazy. I loved the suspense that this book had and how enthralled I became with it.

Sawyer is my favorite Hero from this series because he was so tenacious in his pursuit of Grace. Even when he he realized the error he made right away and worked doubly hard after that to get her affection. Plus he was hot as hell and had me swooning all over the place, so how could I not love him.

The only thing that lowered my rating was the ending and how fast it all came to an close. The thing that kept us in suspense for some of the book was over rather quickly so it was really anti-climatic and left me wanting more from it.

Bottom line, this is an amazing book even though the ending was a little meh for me. If you like a dirty talking Navy SEAL, then this is the book for you.

Most of this one I liked better than the first one but there was a part in it that I was just saying "WTF?? Why are men so stupid sometimes?!!"

These guys in this series are super alpha and not that I don't enjoy that but sometimes it got to be a bit much.

The action in these books is good.

I gave this one two stars because Sawyer wasn't a jackass and even though I didn't like her much, Grace wasn't too bad. It was "okay" but definitely did not live up to the hype. Maybe Lori Foster has spoiled me, but when I read about a 21 year old living on her own and a tough ex-military 26 year old alpha I expect to read about adults. Not women who nickname the H Sexy Sawyer (not as a one time joke, she seriously refers to him as Sexy Sawyer throughout the whole book, which drove me nuts) and it never made sense to me that Sawyer (who's supposed to be this big hulking tough guy) never called Grace by her name, instead referring to her as "Cupcake." It was all just to sugary and cute-sy. Not to mention Sawyer needed to expand his limited vocabulary. He literally could not go one sentence without saying the F-bomb. The use of the word was just too over the top. There are other ways to prove a guy is macho and alpha without having him sound like a pissed off teenager.

The story does have a HEA and the plot was okay, but nothing to rave about. Also I know one other person mentioned the cheating - I wasn't really invested in the couple so it didn't bother me, but looking back it seemed Grace was way too forgiving. She literally stands outside Sawyer's door and hears him going at it with some bitchy chick who has always ridiculed and bullied Grace. It seems like he effed up twice over, one when he shags another woman right after leaving Grace and second it was like rubbing salt in the wound when he does it with someone he knows is Grace's enemy. And that reminds me, aside from the cheating, when the H and h finally decide to go all the way Sawyer realizes he doesn't have protection and Grace tells him she's clean and she doesn't mind going without cause she's on the pill, it grosses me out to think THEY both agree to have sex without a rubber when not three DAYS ago he was humping a chick they both refer to someone who sleeps around. Again, I think I was never emotionally investing to care enough what happens to Sexy Sawyer and Cupcake because it was all just too unrealistic.

I did get hooked on Cade and the mystery woman from his past - but right now it's up in the air whether I'll give that one a shot. If it's anything like Sweet Temptation, I'll easily be able to resist.

I would like to know exactly how many women are in possession of a broken vagina? You know what I'm talking about. The ones who can't have orgasms, self-induced or otherwise. And yet the first time some hot guy so much as looks at it, it goes off like fireworks on the 4th of July.

It's become such a stupid cliché within this genre. I would for once, for once like to read a book where the Heroine is comfortable in her sexuality and has had more than one sexual partner or common knowledge of what it is to have a good orgasm. Self-induced or otherwise.

Holy crispy crust on a “Take My Breathe Away” Pie this was such an Ah-Mazing story!

I absolutely loved it. I never once found myself getting bored with the story or wishing parts would just be over and done with. In fact, three quarters into it, I thought to myself that I needed to slow down because I didn’t want it to end.

I went from a blubbering mess in the prologue to laughing out loud in chapter one. This story will certainly take you on an emotional journey of heartache, friendship and love.

I really enjoyed Fighting Temptation and I didn’t think anyone could really top Jaxson. The ending to that book will forever be one of my favorite scenes but…

Sawyer Evans has done the unthinkable.

He has taken Jaxson’s spot at my #1 Man Of Honor!

I really doubted his ability to do that but the more and more I got into the book the more and more I fell in book love with him.

He has an ego the size of Texas which is hilarious and makes for lots of laughs.

He is super sexy…hence is nickname “Sexy Sawyer”

and

He has fallen for the plain and simple girl with a southern twang that smells like cupcakes and
bakes pies that are to die for.

Grace…poor Grace. My heart just broke in a million pieces for her from the very start. She has suffered through so much in the last few years and has kept to herself. But now that she’s in a new town with new people, she is determined to make it on her own. She has dreams, big ones, and she will work her butt off in hopes to someday be able to fulfill them.

She’s not very good at letting people in and besides a couple of girlfriends and Mac, the man she sees as her angel…she’s alone. Then one day Sawyer Evans comes into the diner where she works and there is something about him that has her feeling both terrified and safe all at the same time.

Sawyer is a flirt and he seems to pay extra special attention to Grace. She knows he’s just messin’ with her but that doesn’t affect the blush that creeps up on her face every time he’s around.

And boy does Sawyer love seeing her blush…

Surprisingly, she finds herself opening up to him about things she never thought she would share with anyone.

“All I want is to belong to someone. It’s not right, everyone should belong to somebody.”

The last of her words break out into a sob and cracks my fucking heart right in half.
“You do belong to people, baby, you belong to me, and to Julia, and to Kayla…you belong to us all, Grace.”

Sawyer is determined to get Grace to give him a chance, a chance at what…he’s not sure yet. But he knows there is something special about this girl and he can’t let it go.

She’s his Cupcake…

“Nope, that’s not why you remind me of a cupcake.”

“Oh yeah, then why?”

“Because you’re as cute as a cupcake, you smell as sweet as a cupcake,”
his tone drops and turns husky, “and I’ll just bet you fucking taste as good as one too.”

Whoa. All the oxygen gets sucked out of my lungs and my heart kicks into overdrive.
Damn that man is good.

The connection between Grace and Sawyer is undeniable but Grace has a hard time believing a man like Sawyer, a man who could have any woman he wants would be interested in her. But Sawyer is not giving up and he will do what it takes to prove to Grace she can trust him.

When Grace’s past comes back to haunt her, Sawyer takes it an opportunity to implant himself in her life- not only protect Grace but to also show her the kind of man he can be.

Holy Shizzle
on the sexy scenes. W.O.W. There were a lot but they weren't repetitive. I hate when a book is written with a lot of them but they are all written the same...it ends up boring and I find myself skipping lines or paragraphs. Sawyer and Grace definitely were NOT boring.

“I’m going to show you how to do this one day, Grace, show you how to pleasure yourself.”

I gasp when he flicks his wrist and curls his figers inside of me.
“That’s ok, you can just do it, I think you will be better at it anyways,”
I pant out heavily.

We also get to meet Sawyer’s family (who are all so amazing…well for the most part) in this book as well as more of Jax, Julia, Kayla, Cooper, and Cade.

I cannot wait for Cade’s story. He is so quiet and we learn a little more about his past, which is beyond heartbreaking. I can’t wait for him to have a voice and get inside of his head to know what he is thinking.

I love how K.C. Lynn goes from one POV to another. I love how she stays in the same moment but just switch point of view. LOVE THAT! It keeps the momentum and feelings of the story line going.

This is a highly emotional yet fresh and fun story, full of laughter, playfulness, friendship, and love. I loved the transition from sad to happy moments. I can't even count how many times I cried in this book...only to be laughing a paragraph later. That right there makes for an awesome read!

K.C. Lynn had me hooked with Jax in Fighting Temptation but she has stolen my heart with Sawyer in Sweet Temptation. This is a “Forever With Me” kinda book. It’s filled with so many ups and downs that it keeps you on your toes and engaged in the storyline and refuses to let your heart go at any point.

Simply Amazing.
