It was great to read shattered grid with every issue in chronological order and all the side stories from the free comic book day. It also great to see all the art in the back. Couldnt be happier with this read and book overall.

DC had their Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Marvel had their Battleworld/Secret Wars thing with God-Doom.
Boom Power Rangers has Shattered Grid.

Not like linear time has ever been too big an issue with the Power Rangers franchise, and alternate realities has been confirmed to be a thing even in the show, but this one takes the cake!
Apparently required reading is needed before this massive tome because Lord Drakkon has a history here; Saba has a history here despite there not being a White Mighty Morphin Ranger yet; Matthew, Kimberly's boyfriend has history here; and of all things Skull has a history here as a mole within Drakkon's forces! Plus, interspersed throughout is the story of Kimberly the Ranger Slayer, and her mishaps through her own history, and how ultimately that is what saved them from the Black Mercy'd universe.

But hoooooooweee, talk about an ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny! So many recognizable faces! So many awesome jaw-dropping moments! So much fighting heroic spirit that reminds you why you looked up to these icons of do-goodery when you were small (or when you rediscovered them in college whatever).
Hits a little harder with JDF's death, but all the more to make me actually care about what's happening. We want Tommy to be happy in every reality...

A must for any fan of Power Rangers.

This reads so much better as an event than the separate 2 series.

There is quite a bit of overlap between this and gogo book 1 /mighty Morphin power rangers year 2.

This is the best power rangers story I have read in comics. It doesn’t hold your hand, the multiverse just is and you have to get onboard with it. Its well presented and the art is mostly good, better in the MMPR issues than gogo. The story is great, lots of twists and turns. I think the Samurai Lord Drakkon is my favourite.
Now I can finally get into the Necessary Evil stuff and see if it still holds up!

"Shattered Grid" is Power Rangers' "Endgame"/"Hickvengers" multiverse story, and it's a fun ride albeit hard to follow at times.

Without getting to into the details, the story is essentially about Lord Drakkon trying to get into the Morphin Grid via stealing the morphers from a single ranger across the multiverse or grid. This of courses starts fracturing space-time and thus starts an epic adventure to stop him from destroying existence. The conclusion is somewhat expected but the "how" is interesting. Now that I've typed it, it does seem typical story for a multiverse story, but that's ok because the Rangers universe is still "fresh" for me since I didn't watch the 90s show or any of it's iterations.

I did like seeing all the different Ranger teams and variations between characters battling or helping each other depending on the situation at hand. Kimberly (The Pink Rangers) takes center stage as an important character across multiple timelines. One thing I really like about the Power Rangers comics is it's more about the teens and their relationships rather than mindless action in Zords. The central themes about courage, teamwork, sacrifice, and the greater good are all positive for its intended audience--young people.

The big flaw is the structure of the entire event. I did find myself feeling like there were missing issues (not entirely sure if this is true or not) because the story seemed to jump around to different times/teams almost randomly; I felt kind of dumb for being unable to follow the narrative of a kids' comic! Perhaps I was just confused by all the Rangers when they had their masks off but were from different universes.

Overall, this was a fun read and makes me want to continue reading more Ranger comics. If Boom can keep these deluxe editions in print, they are worth picking up even if you weren't a watcher/fan of the show.

A Promise to Keep: 4 ★
"Una promesa que cumplir" es un relato exclusivo que nos muestra el mundo de Drakkon y como este logro corromper la voluntad de Kimberly, convirtiendola en su Ranger Slayer y ordenandole ir tras los que se resisten a su poder, los Cointless, y vencerlos de una vez por todas para conseguir las monedas de poder que necesita para completar su ejército.

“I’m not afraid of you.” -Billy

Is this the end of the Power Rangers as we know it, with Lord Drakkon, the evil Tommy Oliver from an alternate universe, back with a mission to destroy all Power Rangers forever? Can the combined forces of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Jen Scotts, the Pink Time Force Ranger, Lauren Shiba, the Red Samurai Ranger, and other Power Rangers stop him before it’s too late?

‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Shattered Grid’ is a mashup of Avengers Endgame and Power Rangers, and it’s an absolute thrill ride. The storyline brings together Power Rangers from across the dimensions to stop Lord Drakkon, who’s on a mission to drain their powers. This epic tale has not only revisited fond childhood memories for me, but also introduced me to new Rangers from recent years. Including the Ranger Slayer, the delightfully diabolical brainwashed Kimberly Hart, the original Pink Ranger. All I’m going to say is that she’s one of my favorite characters in comics!

Lord Drakkon is the most dangerous foe the Power Rangers have ever faced, an unstoppable force of nature who will not rest until he achieves his goals, and even his creator, Rita Repulsa, is powerless to stop him.

This Power Ranger story is a knockout, boasting a beautifully written narrative, captivating characters, and shocking, heart-wrenching moments. The Karone and Andros reunion gets me all the time! So far, this is my favorite Power Rangers era.

Now on to 𝔹𝔼𝕐𝕆ℕ𝔻 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝔾ℝ𝕀𝔻!

The shared grid event reminded me of the spider verse. let’s find a way to get all the Rangers in one major event and it can work well. But I couldn’t keep track of the story and that’s one double edged sword with these types of crossover events is that I could follow the through the line OK but when they went to the other ranger universes I couldn’t make heads or tails of it, and I felt lost. I felt like I lost the thread a couple of times and just had to go OK Throw my hands up. not having consistent. art team didn’t help. Sometimes the art in here was gorgeous to look at other times. It was pretty squiggly. I understand that this book is also for adults who grew up watching mighty Morphin but sometimes this book just got too dark for my liking. It reminded me of that fan Power Rangers video that blew up on YouTube a couple years ago and it just made me go not everything has to be so grim and gritty. A crossover is hard needle to thread, and it takes something to be very delicate to keep track of everything and I feel wow there’s a lot of big fan moments. It washed the overall picture to focus on these fan continuity moments.

I remember when I first found out of Lord Drakkon, the evil Tommy Oliver from another universe, and the Power Rangers Comics from Boom Studios. I was amazed at the great work they had done with the story, certainly the best of the comic book industry that I had seen.

This event was amazing, the story was told in two comic book series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Go Go Power Rangers, and two episodes of a live RPG show, Power Rangers Hyperforce.

We find that Lord Drakkon is back and he is stealing the powers of the rangers of different universes to become a god. It is up to the first team the Migthy Morphin Power Rangers with the help of Jen Scotts (Time Force Pink) and Lauren Shiba (Samurai Red) to reunite all of the teams and stop Drakkon.

The story is full of action and fan service moments and the art is just beautiful. And while it doesn't give much time for reflection, the ending and its message hits pretty hard.

I do believe that you don't really need to have seen all of the seasons up to Ninja Steel, like I have, in order to enjoy this.

The best way to read it is definitely the Deluxe Edition. It has all of the story from the two comic books and the extras in one big package.

So, I realize I’m behind the ball on Shattered Grid and this is actually the first of the Mighty Morphin comics I’ve read. Anyways, yeah this was amazing.

The first thing I want to say is Lauren Shiba has a starring role is this and I loved it. As someone with a lot of good memories of Samurai because I watched it when it premiered, I loved seeing more of her. (And the friendship between her and Jason was unexpected but so good.)

Another thing I loved was how it built up the mythos of the morphing grid. However, one weakness is how I wished there was more imfirmation about the Morphin Masters and Emissaries Three.

If you’re a power ranger fan and you haven’t gotten into this yet, then I highly recommend it.

For the life of me, I’m still trying to figure out what’s so damn special about these Power Rangers runs…are adults seriously reading these and saying, “Wow, what great story telling?” The dialogue, the fight scenes, the analogies, the heartaches, the redemptions, the arcs, the cliffhangers are all so childish. How is this being regarded as, great runs and one of the best comic book stories ever written? My 9 year old self would have enjoyed these but how simple are some of the adult readers minds to find these remotely palatable? “Shattered Grid” was downright awful.

This is the "crisis" of the power rangers universe. A massive crisis/endgame story to wrap up the story that Kyle Higgins has been telling from the first volume. The different art styles don't clash but the story can be difficult to follow at times. There is a big cover gallery in this collection like year one and two. Hopefully Boom continues to release these nice hardcover collections.

I love Power Rangers, and having this storyline in giant book saves me time and effort not having a bunch of comic books on my shelf. The only problem I had with it is that the storyline jump between flashbacks, which when it first happened, it threw me off. But I still love the storyline and it explains the missing month that I saw in Power Rangers HyperForce (didn’t have this book back then).

I’m a very longtime fan, but this didn’t quite do it for me. The multiverse and multidimensional crossover felt really sloppy in terms of character development. I also could never have known Jen from Kimberly with their suits. What’s the point of expanding a franchise if you’re not going to bother keeping with the existing feel and look of the characters?

Problem with reading these giant cross-overs is that oftentimes two big storylines are intercut but I don't care about one or two of them that much. The Ranger Slayer stuff is kinda cool but I didn't care. I liked all the rangers coming together and crossing over. That was neat.

I loved loved loved this event. The way that the Mighty Morphin titles had the cross over and the action, and Go Go balanced the human and emotional elements was such a fun interaction and balance between the series.

So much better than I thought it would be. I didn't buy it, and don't know if I would unless they were $50 or less.
Exciting it pulled from different series but too many characters for me.
A great jumping off point.

An excellent collection of one of my favorite comic book arcs. While seeing all the different art styles together can be confusing, it’s still a wonderful storyline.

Enjoyed the overall story line. The jumping back and forth in time/dimensions made it a challenge to keep up with certain details. Great graphics.

Gave it a try on a recommendation. Honestly, better than I expected, but still very much made not to offend a younger audience. There's violence, but nothing meaningful since everything gets reset.
