“Love isn’t for me.” That is what Tsugumi Koeda, a first-year high school student always told herself. Her small-framed, flat body has given Koeda a serious complex, making it totally impossible for her to ever imagine falling in love. That is, until one day when Masamune Sena, a boy from the next class sees her thin, boyish body by accident ... Since then, whenever Tsugumi's with the natural and frank Masamune, the feelings she’s held back, feelings that she wants to be “a girl” like everybody else start to grow more and more ... This is a pure and slow-step love story dedicated to all the girls who find things awkward when it comes to love!

It’s probably just because I’m hormonal, but this shit made me cry because this girl was literally me in high school (but plus sized instead of skinny). I really related to her struggles and embarrassment. Honestly, it hit a little too close to home. This was also just extremely fluffy. The MMC is a sweetie, and I also liked his best friend and her best friend. I’ll be continuing on because this was really fluffy and sweet.

Cute, sweet, and short like the protagonist; a very fast read.

The texture made me reminisce about one of the most adorable shoujo manga ever created, Kimi ni Todoke. It's like a rebirth of a more aware Sawako, and more insecure this time, in the tiny and frail body of Tsugumi Koeda. And the sunshine boy Masamune (I forgot his surname too! Haha) reminds me a lot like our precious boy Kazehaya, always so confident and popular. Yup, that kind of trope is always heartwarming. So, I'm sure fans of the said manga will really like this one. I'm really interested, so I'm going to read the other volumes too.

I amm so happy that I picked this book up. Although not gonna lie, I am pretty dissapoimted due to the fact that the whole series is not on kindle unlimted like??? I see you tryna make money. Don't think I dont know what you are doing by putting 7/11 books on kindle unlimted. But iss okay iss okay I understand. I thought this book was very cute! I have not seen a character like Koeda before and I really liked it! This love story is so soft! It makes my heartue go uwu! While reading this the song "What is Love" by Twice kept popping up in my head.

Desisti da série. Por que é ruim? Não, ela é okay, mas falaram que ela tá comlleta e não tá. Não ligo o suficiente pra continuar. É a vida.

I was quite disappointed the whole series wasn’t on Kindle Unlimited... Of all the past series I’ve read, only the first few of them were on Kindle Unlimited. Pretty annoying.

3.5 stars!!

Okay this was a really sweet (pun intended) start to this series.

This series is about a girl Koeda, who is insecure about her frail and tiny frame. After a chance meeting with a popular guy, Masamune, she slowly starts to want to change and let go of her insecurities.

I have to say while this may be considered a cliche by some, I think this series is still sweet nonetheless. For me, the reason why I rated this with 3.5 stars for now is I felt that some of the pacing was kinda slow and I can't 100% say yet that I'm hooked into this series. Nonetheless, this series is really sweet and I'll probably read on from this for now.

Darling series

The premise of having a tiny stick of a girl who has serious self-esteem issues attract the attention of a tall, popular boy sounds like classic shoujo manga. What makes this series work for me are the main characters. So far, I'm enjoying the series. It's light, fluffy stuff, but perfectly my speed today.

The art is okay and this was a nice set up of introducing our main characters. It is very sweet and they are both kind and thoughtful of one another so it doesn’t feel like she is bending over backwards for him.

Ridiculous premise, although not surprising for a shojo. Let’s see where it goes.

Edit: after finishing the series, just wanted to add:
This is a cute, fluffy series with good character development and shows good communication between a lot of the characters, which is not always the case for shojos. Nice art style. I rate it 3.5 overall.

Tsugumi Koeda, a high school student, has concluded that love isn’t for her. She’s been made fun of for being flat and boy-like, giving her a major complex. She’s convinced that her thin frame isn’t girlish enough for anyone to love her. Then one day, Masamune Sena sees her body by accident, and he doesn’t make fun of her. She’s so sure that no one could ever have romantic feelings for her that she is afraid to let herself feel that way, but Masamune starts breaking down her walls. It starts to become obvious (to us) that he cares about her.

Things really start to change when he invites her to a summer festival. She wears a yukata and looks very cute. She’s so tiny that Masumune takes it upon himself to make sure she’s safe from getting accidentally pushed around. So they end up spending most of the night together, just the two of them. They have a lot of fun together. When two boys from her middle school show up and start making fun of her for dressing like a girl, and proceed to tell Masamune he'd better drop her because she’s just a stick, he glares at them and tells them to go away.

Koeda tries to act like she’s fine with what happened, even though it’s obvious that it hurt her. This is when Masamune tells her, “You’re a girl. You’re totally a sweet girl. I know that. So don’t cry!” Then he whispers to her that the yukata looks great on her. At that moment, she realizes she can’t pretend anymore; she loves Masamune.

this is so cute & wholesome & i loved every second of it!

we follow shy high school student koeda as she accidentally befriends popular boy, masamune. after a lifetime of bullying for her size & stature, koeda is shocked when masamune stands up for her & chooses her company time & time again.

though she's been fighting this crush she's developing, knowing that no guy could ever like a tiny, shapeless, friendless geek like her, it looks like koeda isn't the only one of the two developing feelings.

Koeda-chan is tiny for a highschooler: thin, flat, overlooked. She knows she'll never have the things that other girls do: admiration, attention, a boyfriend. But then a boy in the next classroom catches her in an awkward situtation. Masamune is seemingly fascinated by how small she is, and the attention is a little confusing. Maybe even annoying. But Koeda is beginning to have trouble focusing on anything but Masamune, even though he could never actually like someone like her.

Cute and sweet. I really like this one!

I had a friend who was extremely skinny due to some kind of medical condition and, I think, bullied because of it. Which might be one reason why I was really rooting for Koeda in this volume and so happy to see her grow more and want to be happy. I’m also really glad that, counter to typical shojo-stories, these two start out as friends, and the first volume doesn’t end with a dramatic kiss. In fact, there was no kiss at all!

This is the book I needed when I was in middle school/ high school. It makes my heart so full to finally feel seen and to see someone going through the same kind of issues I did, and having someone who understands what she's going through, and helping her out with her body issues, because God knows I didn't have that at her age. The romance seems cute, although very rushed, but the comfort it brings more than makes up for it.

That was really sweet. I enjoyed the story and the main characters. Koeda is a tiny girl who finds herself a bit on the social outskirts because of her body and feels insecure about herself. She has accepted the fact that love isn't for her, but her heart has a different say on the matter. I think Masamune is a cliche popular boy, but he is really sweet and perceptive about how she feels. I think the first volume was very cute and had a nice pace to it. Looking forward to continuing.

This manga reminds me of a mix between Say I Love You and Kimi ni Todoke. It’s really cute, but I don’t know if I’d feel as much warmth towards the story if it drags across a lot of volumes before the main characters become a couple...

It's...

So I just read this because I wanted something small and easy to read. It's cute and it has its bit of romance moments but it need something...but in a way it is forcing me to read the other volumes to know what happens next.

4.5 ⭐ 13 tomos.

Fue una lectura linda y rápida, súper cuchi y con un bueno y sano desarrollo de personajes. Me encantó muchísimo el final. El estilo de dibujo no es 100% de mi gusto pero igual está bien bonito.

Like the title, this first volume was pretty cute and sweet. I relate a lot to Koeda with her body image issues as I was the same in high school. This seems to be your typical high school romance story, nothing particularly stands out to me for now but I will have to keep reading and see.
