Call Me Daddy

Rate this book

A mysterious envelope, hand-delivered in secret.

“This is your exclusive dinner invitation...”

One month with a billionaire recluse.

My only chance to get back the trust fund I gambled away.

I just had no idea it was only a party for two.

He says he doesn’t need my body.

It’s my obedience he craves.

I haven’t given anyone that since I was a little girl…

He tells me to sit down.  I sit.

Over his knee, like the spoiled brat I’ve been.

Coming to his every command.

I’m warming up to him.

There’s something kind behind his cold blue-green eyes…

But I can’t reveal my feelings.  I’ll scare him away.

And now that our holiday is ending, something’s different.

“Unwrap me, daddy...”

Spank me with the naughty truth.

Novella's are tricky little things for me. On one hand, their brevity means that I often feel like something is missing, or end up wishing things were more fleshed out. On the flip side, sometimes when it's the wee hours and I find myself unable to sleep, I really need a story that will be all wrapped up with an hour or two of reading. Something about the closure of "the end" is enough to get me to sleep easier. It's a catch-22 kinda thing.
So, my initial qualm holds true... this was short, therefore I felt something missing. But it was entertaining, and sweet and I read it in an hour-and-a-half so I was able to go to sleep with closure.
This was my first read by Ms. Roberts, and I'd likely try another of her stories.

This was my first read by this author and I feel that this book could have more potential. The story line was good but I felt like it was missing more details.

Jace had his kink of bdsm and because of his loss in the past he had a need to control his partner. And Whitney was his perfect target who needed some discipline in her life. She was a spoiled brat who had everything handed to her.

If you're looking for a good book about DD/LG relationships or a good insight to BDSM in general, this is not it. I really disliked how this kind of S&M relationship was portrayed. Not only is the Dom not open for discussions about certain terms of their relationship, but also expects the female heroins' consent for a total power exchange upon first meeting her officially (don't know what the word means - look it up).
The only thing I like this far was, that it introduced the different aspect of titles in BDSM relationships. To be more exact: how one addresses their Dom says more about the kind of caretaker/subordinate than the relationship. The book isn't about age play like the title suggests but a Slave/Master contract, in which they call each other Daddy and Little Girl.

After losing his wife, Jace becomes a reclusive billionaire. But all it takes is one look at Whitney from across a party to know he’s going to change his ways. And I don’t mean that he saw her from across the way and saw his dream girl, and his happily ever after flashed before his eyes. No no. What Jace saw was a little girl that needed a Daddy. He wanted to be the one to reform her, have control over making her the woman she was meant to be. And he does just that. While also breaking all his own walls down, though Whitney does help. He didn’t want her body, just her obedience. However, that changes very quickly. Like, first meeting quickly. Jace places very specific rules in place. It’s all about safety and encouragement. He wants everyone to see that she’s worthy, the same way he sees her. His past and present collide, and Whitney and Jace are left in the rubble. But their bond is strong enough to get through it. This was way deeper than I thought it was going to be. It is definitely not just a quick smutty Dom novella folks! And I wasn’t prepared for the ending to feel like a comforting hug.

baby girl: 36
good girl: 4

My Favorite Quotes:
• “Get familiar with my name. You’ll be screaming it later.”
• “Tonight, we’ll just be having sex with light bondage. No frills, no rules. I just want to be inside you.”
• “You’ll want to watch your tongue.”
• “I think they’d look fetching wrapped around my head, don’t you agree?”
• “Spread your legs for me. Daddy’s going to rock your socks off.”
• “You’re worthy if I say you’re worthy.”
• “I care, baby girl. And I’m going to make sure everyone else sees what I do. Someone worthy.”
• “I’m your mess.”
• “This is what I have to give you. One beating and barely healed heart.”
• “I want you to show everyone who you belong to.”

Meh. It had great potential and a good beginning and it just... Didn't meet my expectations.

First that the spice would fade to black in a book named "Call me Daddy" is not forgivable. I mean, it screams smut so why not continue like in the beginning? I need more, I need to explore the daddy kink.

Then, the lovestory wasn't really realistic for me, like they knew each other for a week and Whitney was already in love? Huh huh.

I also wasn't a big fan of Whitney. She was despicable in the beginning and then demure. I mean that was kinda the point of making her a sub but even with her parents and stuff. I thought she had a bit more under her belt to defend herself.

Loved the length though, between a book and a novella, and the spicy scenes were good. Also, the language used in the book isn't too crude or vulgar and there isn't the word "fucking" in every sentences and it's refreshing when reading spice.

I enjoyed this fast read contemporary erotica novel by Emma Roberts, it had a nice mix of romance, and BDSM/Daddy themes. It had a good storyline and the connection between the two main characters, handsome billionaire and dominant Jace and Whitney, a seemingly out of control spoilt rich girl really came alive. Jace offers Whitney an invitation to spend a month with him, and as the two get to know each other better, we learn that there is more to both of them than they first thought, and they bring out the best in each other. The story had a happy ending and I would definitely recommend it. I look forward to reading more of Emma Robert’s novels.

Short story, long lasting affect

So I usually don't get into short stories, ( only 15 chapters) but the way Emma writes is interesting. I like the drawn out novels. The descriptions and the imagery. Emma does that in the book. I have the visual. I have the experience. And I have the excitement! This love story is different. Two people from the same side of up-town. Both with money. Both domineering

I liked it

I liked this book, but there were parts I struggled with. Specifically the number of times the words ‘knock your socks off’ were used. It also felt a little like someone had attacked the book with a thesaurus.

The characters were likable, both with their own scars from their past, and their HEA did make me smile.

If you’re looking for a quick read, this is a good one to pick up.

Jack has lost his parents to a car accident, he lost his wife and unborn baby to a car accident. He's afraid to let anyone close for fear of losing them. Whitney was raised by nannies and ignored by her parents and she's spoiled. Jack sees her misbehaving at a gathering and decides to make her an offer. Can these 2 learn to trust each other and more importantly, trust in love?

0MG!

Two people brought together by wants and desires. He desires a sub and requires discipline and control. This relationship becomes so much more when feelings are brought into it and the relationship grows and morphs. But while there is happiness there are other issues in play that may cause it fail.
Hot, sexy, emotional and a rewarding read!

Who, I wasn't sure what to expect, and I had some expectations based on the title, cover, and blurb, but this book was great. I did have some issues with the storyline disagreements that lead to some confusion for me as the reader, but overall I really enjoyed the characters and their story.

Short and sweet!

Jace and Whitney are so hot together. Jace, a broken, beautiful man see Whitney and is drawn to her immediately. She is like a spoiled brat, but at the same time, her parents are legit cruel. The way how they treat her got me teary eyes. I love how he stands up for her. I have quite a few questions though. Other than that, it is a good book. I enjoy it!⁣

4.5 Stars!
In the beginning, I wasn't sure if I would like either Jace or Whitney!
Luckily, it didn't take long for me to realize they were both just what the other needed.
He knew just how to handle Whitney. I love that he defended her and turned out to be the perfect daddy for her.
She was redeemed for being a brat and I'm very happy with who she became.
I recommend!

Easy read with enjoyable characters. Although the book is short, the storyline is well developed. There were some steamy scenes that were quite hot and very realistic.

Not an Age Play Story

This book is more of a dominant, who likes to be called daddy, taking care of and straightening out his submissive baby girl. Still a great story and a good example of how a person can be so much more when they have the unflagging support of a love one.

Sexy scene hotness 10/10

This book was so freaking hot. I'm all for the hot steamy scenes and this book delivered. The story plot was awesome too. The author created the perfect book. They skipped all the bs drama and stayed on point!

It was surprisingly good . It gave me fifty shades of grey vibes . I loved both the hero and heroine . My only complaint is the length of the story , I would've preferred for it to be longer but other than that it was a pretty good, captivating book

A nice and easy read that I managed to finish in 1.5 hours. Really good, with some good amount of tension and angst. Of course novellas this short can always have you wanting more or needing an elongated plot but this was a nice break from my long series.

WAYYY to much face to black for a short book; and a BDSM one at that. Not much Daddy kink at all. It had potential but it was just missing so much. Book could have easily been a full novel if they didn’t cut all the sex scenes so short.
