Another good little read from these authors. Lizzy is on a blind date with her new flat mates brother. He turns out to be a total sleaze and traps her in a secluded doorway. Luckily for Lizzie Rocco happens to be passing as she’s struggling and he removes her date. He also teaches her date a well deserved lesson.

Date comes from a rich and powerful family and Rocco ends up doing 5 years.
(It’s Alexa Riley just go with it)
Lizzie writes to him and through the letters they fall in love.
(Just go with it)

So you know how it’s going to go but it’s a fun trip. The characters are nice and it made for a cute hot little read.

Another sweet and safe read from this duo. I loved the letter writing that the couple did at the start. One of my favorite storylines, but they are not plentiful.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-violence- heroine is attacked with the intent to be a sexual assault but the hero intervenes.
-instalove
-just ok epilogues - while they are into the future 5 years, I could have had more details about their family. Names etc

To the women with thick thighs and a fat ass. You are fucking glorious just as you are. Tell a man with big hands to hang on tight.

Things I liked about this book:
1. The quote above
2. At least the plot had 2% depth to it compared to other books
3. Better dirty talk

Things I didn't like about this book:
1. Carrie's brother is a dick
2. The name Rocco, just not into it for any reason
3. Insta attraction (yet again)
4. Rushed and ridiculous ending
5. Sudden master/slave complex that came out of nowhere

Alexa Riley's protective and possessive ROCCO was so EVERYTHING! TEAM ROCCO ALL THE WAY ... A great read for Valentine's Day!!!!

Heroine, Lizzy was meeting her new roommate's brother, Gabe Conner for a blind date in town. Immediately there's no attraction yet he attempts to assault her. Hero, Rocco was walking by, heard a scream and immediately comes to heroine's rescue. What started out as a date for Lizzy, ends with Rocco beating the living crap out of a cocky, privileged Gabe Conner, then hero being handcuffed and sentenced by a bought-out judge for five years in prison!

But things aren't always what they seem in this slow burn... not at all because both have a heated attraction for one another! With Rocco behind bars and not willing to see Lizzy, letters are the next best thing because Lizzy's one persistent young lady and what to thank Rocco for saving her life! To learn how persistent heroine could be, read this memorable read to see exactly how Rocco and Lizzie's "Locked Up Love" turned into a beautiful HEA with two epilogues at their finest!

"I’ve been fighting this for so long, but after today I’m ready to give in. I’m ready to get the fuck out of here and go get what’s mine. I might be locked up, but there’s nothing that will keep me from her. Not this prison, not some rich assholes who fixed my trial, and certainly not some piece of shit that was hired to get me thrown in solitude. As soon as I’m out of here, I’m on my way to her."

5 PERFECT stars! *****

"Locked up Love" is the story of Lizzy and Rocco.

Another sweet AR pre-Valentines goodie, this time around with a locked up hero from the other side of the tracks, a curvy belle heroine who becomes his redemption, love letters and HEA.

I love love LOVE the cover. However, the whole love-letter to the criminal trope gives me heebies, and maybe it's because of all the serial killer docuseries I watch, and the women who fall in love with them- even though the H was innocent I found myself cringing while reading it.

Definitely this trope does not work for me.

This book is for you if… you're one of them insta-love addicts that adore curvy heroines and protective heroes.

Overall.
It's a good thing none of my co-workers have an account here on Goodreads because I was bored at work as everybody was at meetings and nobody could help me as I was stuck with the planning. Anyways my boredom led to researching my trip to Ireland and finding out that you can actually read on your browser if you buy ebooks from Amazon. So, guess what I did. Yup. I devoured this book in about an hour, reading over my lunch and while waiting for everyone to return. I kinda feel bad, but it was SO worth it and there was literally nothing else to do. It was sweet, and sexy and savoury and I literally could read this again and again.

HOWEVER (don't we all love it when that part comes up)... I read a couple of other books from the author pair and they were either super boring (Be Mine... Or Else) and seemed like a copy of this one (PS... You're Mine), or were downright insulting to the emancipation of women (Thick). I also heard of some dubious work ethics of theirs and thus vowe to never buy (or read for free) another AR book again.

What’s happening.
Lizzy is a good soul. She agrees to go on a blind date with her new roommate's brother. What she thought might be a wasted night turns out to be the most important night of her entire life. Because not even one minute into the date with Pretty Boy Gabe, he assaults her. She sees her fate of being yet another rape-victim nobody in the American Justice System seemed to care about. Praying for a miracle in one second and actually looking that miracle into the eyes the next, she is face to face with Rocco. Rocco can't help himself. He keeps on punching this worthless piece of shit until only the cops can drag him away to save Pretty Boy from getting straight into the afterlife. Only weeks later he is behind bars. Pretty Boy has rich parents who are already used to throwing a shadow over the dirty secrets of the Connor family, Rocco being just another victim.

From the first moment on, they both felt a connection. While Rocco was trying to keep as much distance as possible between them, Lizzy is determined to let him know that she sees more in him than just a big scary dude who almost killed somebody. So she writes him letters. And they touch Rocco in places he has never been touched before. He can't believe how lucky he is that a soft innocent woman like Lizzy would actually take the effort to write him not just one letter to say thank you but sends one each day he is in prison. It's the only thing that keeps him going especially when Lizzy sends Rocco a picture of her. And that settles it for him. He will get out to claim his woman.

Lizzy is on her own since no moving out of her parent's house, not that it ever felt like home or that they wanted her there. She may struggle she to her decision, but she knows it was for the best. Agreeing to a blind date with her new roommate's brother though was a mistake, one she regretted before even meeting him. Afterward though, it becomes a nightmare. Shocked by his attempt to assault her, she's saved from the only outcome by a stranger walking by.

Rocco immediately knew two things. One, someone needed help and two, one glance G her hit him in the chest. He's doesn't regret the pounding he gave the jerk trying to hurt her, only that she saw him lose it. Facing five years in prison for his actions, because the jerk's daddy has connections, he avoids any contact with the woman he saved and wishes was his.

Lizzy wants to thank Rocco for saving her but worried he blames her for being sentenced because of it. She's determined to talk to him, but he refuses. Well, she can be just as stubborn.

Will Rocco let Lizzy in? Will they both realize each made assumptions on the other's feelings? Can two people fall in love through letters? Is Lizzy safe from her attacker? Will Rocco get out early? Can they have a HEA?

One-click now and follow along as two people meet and are separated by circumstances, only to find their way to each other regardless.

When I’ve been going through a phase of reading lots of angsty books, I often like to read something in between, a palate cleanser if you will...and AR is perfect for that. While LOCKED UP LOVE wasn’t one of my favourite books of theirs, I liked the premise of the story and enjoyed the letters between Lizzy and Rocco while he was in prison. This one was insta-love at its finest, with a bit of Daddy kink thrown in for good measure!

I liked the cover of this book. She’s pen pal with the man who saved her from being raped and he’s in jail severing a 5 year sentence.

It was okay. Some boring parts, I skimmed, it was longer than a usual Alexa Riley book. Need more smut and kink in my opinion.

Cute Valentines book.

I needed a good fluffy read so I decided to pick this one up. Plus I always love a curvy girl story and loooook at that cover. Yes. Dedication was everything too:
To the women with thick thighs and a fat ass.
You are fucking glorious just as you are.
Tell a man with big hands to hang on tight.

This wasn’t as fluffy as I wanted but I still enjoyed it anyway. Lizzy went on a blind date with her roommate’s brother and he was a huge creep, grabbing her boobs and about to force himself on her in an alley. Rocco walks by and saves her and ends up beating up the creep to about an inch of his life. Woooops. He ends up going to prison.

And Lizzy spends time writing Rocco while he’s in there. He thinks he’s too much of a bad guy for her but she’s persistent. Their letters were super cute.

Everything works out for them in the end which I always love. Plus I love those extra epilogues that we always get from Alexa Riley. All in all it was a cute read.

Ps. I always love the quotes I find in certain Alexa Riley books that make me lol:

“Why don’t I tell you a goodnight story,” I say and run my tongue between her soft pussy lips. “I’ll write it out on your clit.”

Aaaand that’s all, folks! 😂

Beautiful story. Though I'd like it better if it didn't take that long for them to be together.

It's about Rocco and Lizzy.

She agreed to go on a blind date with her new roommate's brother only to end up almost raped. Thanks to Rocco for saving her. But because of the guy's father who has connections, he was sentenced to five years in prison with a possibility of parole. What will they do? Are they just going to give up or fight for each other?

I loved how he's willing to do it all over again to save and protect her. I loved how he took care of her even when he's in prison. I loved how she wrote letters to him everyday and never gave up on him.

It has nice epilogues.

Not my fave AR book but a great safe read none the less.

Lizzy meets Rocco when she is being attacked by her blind date, things go from bad to worse when Rocco is arrested for the attack. She feels guilty but also drawn to the man who saved her and vows she will see him free. But someone is trying to silence her. Could she really free the man it took one glance to fall in love with or will she have to wait for him forever?

Rocco knew from one look that he was meant to find Lizzy and save her. But now he’s scared to look in her eyes in case all he finds is disgust. But Lizzy breaks through to him, showing him how much she cares and he makes sure she’s safe and taken care of. But now he wants his fairytale ending, will he ever be free to claim the woman he loves?

Quick valentine read to warm the heart.

This was a good read. It was simple, quick and sexy. It was a little unbelievable because the justice system would never move that quick, lol. I really wanted to know how old Rocco was and exactly how long he was in prison for.

Completely safe! No op people drama except for the minor attack on Lizzy in the beginning, it isn’t very graphic. h is a virgin and status of H is not mentioned.

Have I mentioned in any of my past reviews how much I love AR's books? I was slowly falling in a book slump, and this pulled me right out.

Short, sweet, super hot, and hit all the right spots.

4 big stars!

Would I read again? Yes

A little different start from normal Alexa books but enjoyed the sexiness regardless. There were a few moments that threw me off but overall I enjoyed Lizzy and Rocco.

I love the idea of a man willingly going to prison whether it’s justified or not to save his woman. This one was a little OTT because the H literally just met the h and ended up in jail but it was still sweet AF. Lizzy was in her last year of school to become a Veterinary Technician. Her parents were cold towards her and didn’t seem to care when she moved out of their house and in with a complete stranger. She’d only been living with Carrie for a week but Lizzy agreed to a blind date with Carrie’s brother, Gabe. She meets him outside a restaurant and he is a complete scumbag who probably would’ve raped her if a handsome stranger hadn’t shown up and stopped him. Rocco Lang was minding his own business when he saw Lizzy being assaulted and immediately stepped in to help her. Gabe’s daddy is some big shot who has judges in his pocket. Rocco gets sentenced to 5 years in prison for beating the piss out of a rapist and saving a stranger. Lizzy feels absolutely horrible that her knight in shining armor is stuck in prison and is determined to help him anyway she can. Rocco has no bad feelings towards Lizzy, in fact he’s worried that she thinks he’s a monster and is afraid of him. Lizzy starts writing Rocco a letter a day even going as far as sending two on Saturday. She also starts calling senators and writing to them non stop until finally the state attorney reopens his case. They get to know one another through their letters and fall in love with Lizzy having no clue that Rocco was taking care of her the whole time he was gone.

Alexa Riley’s Valentine’s Day books will always be a favorite of mine and this one just proved to true. It features their usual intsa love and OTT love interest, but they included one of my favorite tropes. Falling in love via messages. Or in this case, letters because our hero is in jail. (don’t worry, he went for protecting the heroine)

I couldn’t get enough of Lizzy and Rocco. They were perfect together and I loved the way the fell for each other over letters. Rocco has made the list of my favorite Alexa Riley heroes because he was so good to Lizzy. This is one that I will be rereading next Valentine’s Day!

Lizzy and Rocco meet by chance when she is set up on a blind date that goes terribly wrong. When Rocco comes to her rescue, their eyes connect and they know they have found their person. Only for their brief glance to be taken away when he is sent awake for saving her. Can their love last while locked away? Will they get their chance at forever or is there still someone lurking in the background ready to destroy it?
Another win for AR like always!!!
