CHASING KENNEDY is a sweet, Christian second chance at love romance. Kennedy and Quinn have been friends since high school. Once, they both had hoped for something more, but behind the scenes manipulation redirected them to date other people. Both ended up marrying others, others who they could not love with their whole hearts. Now, they are still friends and work as nurses at the same hospital. She is a divorced mother of a young son, with an ex who doesn’t pay child support. She has just signed up with a dating site in hopes of meeting someone who will accept her and her son. Quinn has two sons of his own and is just going through a divorce. Instead of telling Kennedy or anyone else he is getting divorced (he thinks it too humiliating), he pretends that everything is just fine in his life. He desperately wants to talk things out with someone, but his pride and insecurities hold him back. When Kennedy tells him about the dating site and her pen name, Quinn signs up to the same site and begins a conversation with her under an assumed identity. The conversations on line are effortless and comfortable for both of them. So in realty, Quinn is deceiving her in face to face interactions, but pouring his heart out to her online (and reading her heartfelt responses). Confusion, and hurt follow when Kennedy learns about his impending divorce. When she learns he is also her online confidant, she shuts him out and avoids him at work. It takes a horrible accident to bring them together again, to sort out their feelings and to finally discuss their shared past.
This book is so well written.... it was easy to relate to Quinn and Kennedy and their circumstances. Read and enjoy! I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of Chasing Kennedy.
I have enjoyed all the books in this Finding Trust Romance Series. Chasing Kennedy is no exception. Kennedy and Quinn knew each other in school and at one time were great friends. They both marry but Kennedy’s marriage didn’t work out. Feelings long hidden on both sides were still there. The story moves along well and loved how it all developed.
This is a wonderful ending to the series. Tayla Alexandra addresses bullying, lying, divorce, custody, forgiveness and reliance on God all in one book. I expect a good story line and interesting characters from Ms Alexandra and she doesn’t fail me in this book. I didn’t want to put it down once I had started it.
Friends since high school and their relationship was built on a true foundation. Both Kennedy and Quin were married right out of high school and quickly had children. Kennedy divorced Connor after he had an affair. Quin faces the same with his wife, her cheating. Their friendship helps them both through difficult times. Will they get a chance at a future.
This is a great second chance story that I really enjoyed. Two friend who lost each other years ago, can they still after all these years overcome their hurt and be happy again?
