Alpha Grayson McNally is one of Howling Hills' hottest bachelors - or at least, he would be if he weren't still grieving for the ex who left him behind five years ago. He's learned to hide his loneliness behind smiles and practical jokes, but when a rogue bee sting sends him to the hospital, Grayson wonders if he might not have a second chance at love after all.

All Harvey has ever wanted was to become a doctor - and it's something he's excelled at, his passion for saving other people rivaled only by the belief that he doesn't deserve a happy ending for himself. Leaving Grayson behind to get his education was a no brainer, but even Harvey can't resist the call between them when the one man who never left his heart comes back into his life... as a patient.

Sparks fly as one chance meeting leads to another, but the discovery that Grayson is Harvey's fated mate leaves him with mixed emotions. Harvey loves Grayson... but he also loves his career.

Will an unexpected pregnancy be the key to tearing down the walls surrounding this omega's heart?

Knot the Ex is a wolf shifter mpreg romance novel with a guaranteed happily ever after! It is the second book in the new Howling Hills Heat series, where finding your fated mate isn't just a dream - it's destiny. This book and every other book in this standalone series can be read in any order!

This book was about as enjoyable as a dental exam. I wanted something dirty and wolfy. What I got was lots and lots of cheese.

Lord but this book was corny, painfully so. No world building at all (where are the humans?) but an excess of howling (cause they're shifters, you know) and also Shiftergram. 🙄

Oh, and the twins were named Luke and ... you guessed it, Leia.

Cheesy story, no character development, awkward dialogue, predictable ending, editing issues ... just say NO.

Like the first book, I've got mixed feelings on this one, but unlike the first book most of the feelings are positive. The books sets up the "rejected fated mates" trope, which is my favorite trope in MM, and gives us some satisfying (if superficial) emotional ups and downs that really bring out the visceral feelings of the trope. The alpha Grayson got close to the TSTL line, but I don't feel he crossed it with his behavior being dramatic, but not exhaustively so. The initial reconciliation happened with less contrition that I would have liked, but the later blow-up and subsequent ghosting helped to ease that feeling. While I understood Harvey's motivations, his refusal to give up his trip abroad, only to then "magnanimously" reverse course once his pregnancy revealed itself didn't endear me to him. But for the pregnancy, Harvey would be taking that trip, and no amount of after-the-fact re-imagining can change that. I predict this relationship, were it real, would be in for some hard times in the future.

Three star book that gets four stars for gay characters.

Grayson McNally is one of the most eligible Alpha bachelors in the Howling Hills pack. But he doesn’t notice any of that because he’s still hung up on the omega that left him years ago. No one knows how lonely he is because he hides it behind smiles and practical jokes. However after a random bee stings sends him to the hospital he may get his second chance at love.

All Harvey ever wanted was to be a doctor. He excels at being a doctor and his passion shows whenever he’s helping a patient. Harvey never expected that one of his patients would be the man he left behind to go to medical school. He never thought he deserved his happy ending so he never gave leaving Grayson behind a second thought.

After a few chance encounters, Grayson and Harvey can’t resist the call to one another. And after discovering they’re fated mates, it leaves Harvey with mixed emotions. On one hand he loves his career and on the other he loves Grayson.

I absolutely loved this story and Grayson was everything I hoped for. He seemed like the clown of the group and couldn’t wait to hear his story. Just when you think you know how things are supposed to be, fate comes in and puts a wrench in it. I enjoyed this story from start to finish.

I read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Howling Hills series. In this book, Grayson is an alpha who is starting to get even more lonely after watching his friends find their fated mate and he is alone. Grayson misses his former love Harvey, who left four years before to go to medical school. Harvey and Grayson were in love, but they were not fated mates and parted. Years later after a trip to the ER, Grayson is shocked to find Harvey back in Howling Hills. When Harvey sees Grayson, it takes everything he has not to try and get him back. Harvey is an omega sn has always wondered what if in case of Grayson. When Harvey's car break down the next day, fate has him going to Grayson's garage for help. Grayson and Harvey talk and end up back at Harvey's house and over pizza and beer, Harvey confesses how much he missed Grayson. When Harvey's heat hits, Grayson is more than happy to help him through it, causing them to realize they are meant to be. But things happen leading to Grayson wondering if Harvey really wants to be with him and will stay. I loved this book. I love Grayson and Harvey together. I think they really loved each other and were meant to be. Grayson was scared of being hurt again and Harvey didn't want to risk anything to cause Grayson to doubt his love for him. They rely on fate a lot in this series and i think the saying "everything happens for a reason" is a good theme for this book. Good one.

Second book in the series. Nice romance. I loved it and I recommend it.

Grayson and Harvey were a couple, but their relationship was broken when Harvey decided to go study far from his town and refused to maintain a long distance relationship. Several years later, they meet again. Can they be friends again?

I love Grayson and Harvey. They are good men who have always wanted the best for each other. And if for that they have to renounce to the other, they will do it, even if it is painful.

Their reunion was not as uncomfortable as Harvey had expected. For Grayson, yes, but not for seeing him, but for the situation 🙂

They didn't stop thinking about each other during those years. They didn't want someone else, even though they knew they weren't true mates. They didn't know it, but they were waiting.

I loved that they both gave each other a second chance, that they tried to recover what they had, first their friendship, and then a relationship. But they are both fools, and they have fallen back into the same mistake that separated them.

One detail I really loved is that Harvey is the only one who called Grayson Gray, and he does it again when they're together.

I really enjoyed the first one and loved revisiting the same characters from the first story. I was looking forward to grayson's story. This was a second chance romance love story. Grayson found the love of his life long ago and then he left for med school and he thought he lost him forever and would never see him again until he got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction that landed him in the er and guess who his doctor was? Harvey was just as surprised to see the guy he left behind and never did stop thinking about greyson and now he was there right in front of him. They ran into each other a second time and then could no longer deny the chemistry between them and eventually decided to stop fighting the attraction when things got hott and steamy between them at greysons car shop and ofcourse Harvey going into head didnt help. This was such a sweet and cute story. I'm hoping there will be another one soon! It was another page turner just like the first story from the series and I enjoyed both main characters.

There's no more deafening silence in all the world

Then two ex lovers, still in love, staring at each other across a crowded room. ~Beau Taplin~
The way this book started was epic, hahaha a bee sting on Grayson's nether regions, yes I laughed like a donkey for longer then necessary. Honestly though the humour was a great start and much needed. I had a hard time connecting to Harvey. I just thought he was very selfish. Grayson was solid and knew what he wanted but Harvey just kept pulling back and putting his job before Grayson. I know that Harvey's career was important but he really only decided not to go because of the pregnancy and even then it felt like he only agreed because the the other doctor told him it wouldn't be safe to deliver in another country. Yikes, I just couldn't connect with Harvey and felt that Grayson deserved better.
I really like that throughout this series you get a different narrator for each book. Parker did a really good job and brought all the different characters to life.

Another fantastic story by Liam Kingsley I loved it. Harvey had left Grayson over 5 years ago he wanted to become a doctor so he went to the best school to study, he believes that he doesn’t deserve any happiness for himself and he’s never forgotten Grayson he still loves him but Harvey’s career was just too important to him. Grayson is very lonely he’s never forgotten the love of his life Harvey he still misses him but he hides his loneliness and pain well. One day Grayson gets stung by a bee and he’s rushed to the hospital and the doctor on standby is Harvey, their feelings come rushing back and Harvey is happy that Grayson is single he thought that Grayson would have another partner but no Harvey is Grayson’s mate so there would never be anyone else for him. There are two big surprises along the way and I had a chuckle where Grayson got stung by the bee, ouch how embarrassing lol. This is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Second book in the Howling Hills Heat series, and a second chance love story. Harvey had just left Grayson to further his career by going the one of the best medical schools around. How do you move on? Greyson never did. He is an alpha and his heart was broken. Years later due to an unfortunate bee sting, Greyson's pack buddies took him to the ER and guess who was there? Harvey walked in to see Greyson on the bed with his unfortunate bee sting. ( So funny, but not Funny) Reconnecting and finding out they are indeed true mates has made his Greyson's dreams come true. But Harvey had a secret which could ruin everything, that is until he has something even more important to tell Greyson. Great book. Loved the HEA and the names they chose

Grayson has been in a foul mood for four years. He cannot forget Harvey, who left for medical school, leaving Grayson without closure. Harvey felt the need to follow the dream of being a doctor and knew that he had to leave Grayson because he didn't want to ask him to leave his beloved Howling Hills. When fate brings them face to face with Grayson's need for Harvey's medical help, they are both stunned, but Harvey default into professional mode as Grayson tries to gather his thoughts. Grayson decided that he needed to face Harvey for his peace of mind but when he sees him again all the old, repressed feelings swamp the both of them. The characters navigate the usual pitfalls of misunderstanding, miscommunications, and personal insecurities before they find their footing and become the family they were meant to be.

Knot The Ex by Liam Kingsley is the second book in The Howling Hills Heat Series. It's a second chance romance between fated mates, with an mpreg.

Grayson and Harvey didn't think they were Fayed mates... turns out the timing just wasnt right for them before. Now, Fate has spoken and we get to see how these men navigate the waters of their new reality as mstes... merging career and family life and making choices between romantic love and the job you love. Its sweet, funny sexy and has just enough of the drama to add spice to the romance.

I liked Grayson and Harvey. They are fun characters to read, along with their friends. This series is great.

it has to be hard - that male omegas have no control over their heat, and an even stronger drive than humans for pregnancy.

hormones are unfair - especially as that so impacts career and other life choices and changes.

Harvey and Grayson make an odd pair. They thought when they were together when they were young that they were not fated, so being together might be unfair.

But now, fate is both fabulous and awful, as it crushes plans to go to Ghana, as well as reveals a lack of trust an open communication between the two.

can bonding over their offspring bring these guys together?

Only if hey take the leap - together, forever!

Grayson aand Harvey had an amazing relationship until Harvey left it all behind to become be a doctor, leaving Harvey devastated. Four years later Harvey returns and a series of unfortunate events eventually reunites them. The connection they felt before is stronger than ever and Grayson is ecstatic. But Harvey is withholding something that will definitely cause problems.
This is an awesome story with great characters and a storyline that keeps your attention. It is full of ups and downs, angst, frustration, laughs, steamy sexy times, hope, a true connection, sweet love, and a beautiful HEA that will leave you smiling.
I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

Very enjoyable

This book was so much better than the first one. I loved that both Grayson and Harvey were able to grow firing the course of this story.

In the last book, I felt that Nyle never changed from being selfish, but Harvey really did have to analyze his priorities and change his perspective to realized what he truly valued in life. I loved that Grayson had done the same, just before this story started, so that he was 100% invested in being with Grayson as soon as they found out that they were fated mates.

One thing that I do have to ask is how is it that Seph had never experienced a heat before, but Harvey has gone through dozens, with Grayson, and yet they never knotted before now? It just seems to be a bit capricious.

This story had so much joy in it I could hardly stand it. Grayson is a jilted alpha and is sad, but he has a wonderful zest for life. He and his friends are friendly and happy so I felt happy while reading his story. And yikes! When he runs into his ex? I was cringing and laughing because it was seriously ridiculous.

The couple has something to work out, for sure so it is not always smooth sailing. It is a joyful journey to their HEA. **sigh**

Greyson was in love once. He thought he had it all and then Harvey left for medical school on the other side of the country and never looked back. Now all Greyson wants is to find his mate.

Harvey should have never left. Being a doctor was important to him, but that didn't mean he didn't want Greyson. And now that he's back in town, he's scared to see Greyson happy with someone else. Someone that isn't him.

This was super low angst and just basically the battle between Greyson feeling like the most important thing to Harvey. It was an entertaining read with a great HEA.

Grayson had been in love with Harvey for years, even when Harvey left and broke his heart; Grayson never stopped loving him. Harvey realized leaving Gray was beneficial for his career but was the worst mistake personally. Fate stepped in on several occasions to throw Grayson and Harvey together to try and fix what was broken so long ago. I laughed at the way Gray tortured Harvey when he went into heat and all Harvey wanted to do was leave. I can't wait for Thorne's story and the return of Mason's very special elephant.

A great next book in this series. The characters are great and the story will keep you interested till the end. Alpha Grayson has always loved Harvey and when Harvey left to study medicine Grayson still thought about him. So that one day when he got stung by a bee and ended up in the emergency and how of all people walked into his room but Harvey. All of the emotions and feeling came back for Grayson, but did Harvey feel the same way?

Second chance romance with two guys who still love each other years later. Harvey and Grayson have some issues they need to work through but love does find a way and they work through their issues.

I really liked Grayson, he is such a great guy. Harvey was so driven, that he got a bit lost in finding his happiness. Grayson and Harvey together are sweet and you will be rooting for them to communicate and love.

This is the second book in the Howling Hills series and i am looking forward to the next one.

I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my review.

This is a fantastic second chance, fated mates love story. Harvey left Grayson behind to pursue his dream of being a doctor. When they meet again, sparks still fly, but all the things that separated them before are still there. Can they find a way to make their love work this time? I loved the connection between the two, and the very realistic tension between love of career and purpose and love of another person. It worked out perfect in the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book very much. I couldn't stop laughing at the beginning it was to good, after I cringed of course. (I'm not a monster. Lol.)
The chance meeting was pretty great both times. I love when it is a book about fated mated and fate getting them in the exact right places at the right moments and times.
These two where brilliant together absolutely two halves of a whole.

STILL HOWLING*FANTASTIC

This is the second Howling Hills Heat and it is just as HOT as the first. Heartbroken Grayson gets his wish. His visit to the hospital puts him in the care of his long lost Harvey. Coming back was a tough decision for Harvey. Running into Grayson was everything he was afraid of. But when fate has you in focus, there's really nothing you can do. This is a fast paced story that will keep you captivated from beginning to end. I loved this story. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS ENCHANTING SERIES!!!!!

Harvey and Grey's on best friends and lovers, were separated 4 years ago when Harvey broke it off to leave for med school.
Grey's on gets stung by a bee on his private part and the Dr treating him in the ER is Harvey.
Can they make it with a second chance or is there to much baggage. Join them as they reconnect and see if they still feel the same and if they can go the distance, this time?

Harvey and Grayson had been lovers for many years. Until Harvey left Grayson to go to medical school. Grayson carried on with life. He got stung by a bee and ended up in the hospital. Harvey was the doctor on service at the time. They soon started up were they left off. Due to this Harvey found himself pregnant which they found to be twins. After the birth they had a bonding ceremony.

Harvey left Grayson to attend medical school, both misse and love each other. When they meet again and Harvey goes into heat, they realise they are fated mates. The big dark shadow is that Harvey is going away for 6 months, they both has a choise to make. Grayson feels abandoned again and Harvey has to find out whats most importan to him, work or his mate. I realy like Grayson and im so happy he finaly got his HEA.
