Gerard Parish has always known who he is. A biker, a father, a gambling man. But one chance encounter with a beautiful brunette at his auto body shop and everything changes. The way he thinks, the way he looks at life, and most importantly who he wants to be. As Baum Squad president, Gerard holds responsibilities he can’t turn his back on, but when he’s with Kristen, all those responsibilities seem insignificant. She’s a woman like none other, smart, sophisticated, sexy, rich. She’s a woman he never envisioned himself with but is somehow lucky enough to have. Faced with an impossible choice, Gerard must come to terms with what he inevitably knows— he has to walk away. The question is, from whom? The club or Kristen?
M. NEVER RESIDES IN NEW York City. When she's not researching ways to tie up her characters in compromising positions, you can usually find her at the gym kicking the crap out of a punching bag, or eating at some new trendy restaurant. She has a dependence on sushi and a fetish for boots. Fall is her favorite season. She is surrounded by family and friends she wouldn't trade for the world and is a little in love with her readers. The more the merrier. So make sure to say hi!
Gerard is rough around the edges. He's middle aged, he's a mechanic, and he's the prez for the Baum Squad MC. He's a hot silver fox. He never knew what hit him when Kristen walked into his shop. She's sophisticated, she's stunning, and she's everything he never knew he wanted. How does he blend his two lives? The woman he loves and his brothers in arms couldn't be more different. Something's gotta give.
I love stories about older couples. I feel an affinity for them because I happen to be in that age group. Life experience is something else when you're older - kids are grown, you're more set in your ways, and you're less likely to put up with bull. Gerard and Kristen had all the makings for a grand romance and I'm sure that would be possible if this story was a bit longer. There wasn't much in the way of character development and some parts seemed repetitive. As a setup for the book to come, I'm still not sure how well it worked. We hardly got to know the kids, about whom Slashes in the Snow is about, so I'm still left curious. I guess that's a good thing because it only encourages me to read the next book.
I loved every single thing about SNOWFALL, except the length, I could've kept reading about Gerard and Kristen! They are older, seemingly set in life, until they meet each other and the chemistry between them engulfs them. The passion is intense and impossible to ignore.
Snowfall is the prequel to a new book, Slashes in the Snow, by M. Never. It is a great start to what I hope turns into a multi book series. I was 100% into the lives of Gerard, Kristen, their respective adult children and the entire world M. Never has built. I am addicted and dying to get my hands on the next book!
Thanks, Read Me Romance! I absolutely loved this! I listened to this on the podcast and have already downloaded the next book in the series. This was hot and good and was just what I needed.
Gah!! Snowfall was such an amazing novella and prequel to Slashes in the Snow. I was hooked on Gerald and Kristen's story and loved how they met and the potent electricity between them. It was amazing to get to see how fast and how hard Gerald fell for Kristen and how she was his gamechanger. But now I am super curious about Ky. We saw Gerald's interaction with Kira and how he felt paternal over her but it begged the question of what Ky's feelings were and if he felt that his father seemingly abandoned him and the club for a woman and her new daughter. Now I am DYING for Ky and Kira's book so bad! 4 stars! ~Ratula
Gerard and Kristen's relationship featured potentiality to become an epic romance, but the story length prevented it from happening. I also felt some lacking character development and repetitive dialogue that made it difficult to connect with them. Regardless, I actually enjoyed this more than expected—an older couple romance featuring two single parents, two tropes I'm unfamiliar with!
"I bleed with emotion when I'm with her, and there is no hiding the blood trail when I'm not."
Fast moving, insta-love from opposite worlds, setting the stage for Slashes and endearing me to the world of the Baum Squad MC almost immediately. The Prez falls for the successful, gorgeous Kristen almost immediately after their chance meeting and it changes his entire way of thinking. Demons of the past rear their ugly heads, and the couple sweetly blow right through in a hot, steamy, melt-your-kindle way!! A perfect segway to the first book in the series!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!
Holy shit THIS book! It's rare for me to give 5 stars to a novella, but wow, just WOW! The intensity and passion between this older couple and the promise of great things to come in the next book has all but blown me away.
SUPER FAST REVIEW: This is what I mean when I call romance my guilty pleasure genre right here. This book is very cheesy and pretty damn stupid if I’m being honest but for some reason I still enjoyed it. Can I explain why? Well, there’s a few things I like here but mostly, not really. Would I recommend this to anyone? No. Yet I still enjoyed this thing. Like I said, this is exactly what I mean when saying guilty pleasure genre.
Another mature couple that was hot, steamy, and sweet! Gerard is this alpha motorcycle club president that isn't looking to settle down until he meets this kick ass woman that brings in a sweet car for repairs. Kristen is this bad ass chick that needs her vintage car repaired. Gerard and Kristen have an instant attraction and I loved how sweetly they ended up together.
This video review will be included in the February 2019 wrap-up.

I've read several books by M. Never in the past and really enjoyed them all. I also love MC Romances, so of course I was down for reading Snowfall! And I cannot wait for Slashes In The Snow!!!! OMG, this novel is going to be so damn good!
Snowfall is a prequel told in two point of views (Gerard and Kristen). Gerard is the President of the Baum Squad MC, he's at the point of his life where he's facing the inevitable demise. He isn't a spring chicken anymore and spending his life banging clubwhore's isn't meeting his expectations anymore.
Being the owner of a fortune 500 business and a single mother leaves no room for a love life. Or so that's what Kristen assumed. That is until she meets Gerard, a mechanic at the local garage, to get her car fixed.
From the very moment the two locked eyes there was an intense chemistry. Usually I don't read novels with characters that are in their forty's and beyond. It's nothing against the age of the characters, I just like reading about characters closer to my own age group so I can relate more towards the situations they are going through. But when I read the blurb, I knew I wanted to sink my claws into this prequel!
I loved Gerard and Kristen's short, sweet, and sexy as sin novel. I loved the passion between these two and the ignition when the passion finally unfolds. Honestly, the only negative thing I have to say about this prequel is that I wished it were a tad bit longer. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Gerard and Kristen's story. However, given that this is, in fact, a prequel, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of these two in Slashes In The Snow!
Overall, Snowfall is just as sweet as it is sexy. If you're in the mood for a quick read definitely pick this one up!! _________________________________ Just a quick heads up. You can listen to the audiobook for Snowfall by M. Never on readmeromance(.)com _________________________________
Gerard is a hot mc and a mechanic. Kristen is a beautiful woman with a very sad life. She drops off her car to be fixed. He takes her home and there connection is off the charts. This book was hot as hell. Loved the story and the characters.
Gerard and Kristen have a whirlwind romance. Hot, fast, and oh so steamy. While I enjoyed the story a lot, I felt it didn’t really serve its purpose of being a lead in to the Slashes in the Snow. We’re introduced to Kira in the story and only Ky in reference. In the end, we know which choice Gerard makes, but other than that, there’s no other details. But if you are a big fan of M Never, you will enjoy this one just as I did.
I LOVED this short story. It's so, so good. It had a lot of feelings that the reader can feel for themselves. Heat, passion, tension, lust... I loved the development of the new relationship and the protective fatherly instincts. The ending was beautiful and sweet but I wanted more, not as bad thing!
As this is the prequel to Slashes in the Snow, I think it was a brilliant introduction, and I hope these characters show up in that book as well. It reads just like a standalone so if you are so inclined you can read just this novella for a wonderful short story.
Snowfall by M. Never is the Prequel to A Slashes in the Snow and book 0.5 in the Baum Squad Series. This is the story of Gambit and Kristen but lays the introduction and groundwork to a new series. Gambit is a older man who is the president of the Baum Squad and runs an auto body shop along with being a father. But when Kristen walls into his shop he starts to see something else he wants more in his life. Kristen too is a older heroine than we are used to also a mother. I enjoyed the somewhat older main characters which just has tempted me more to read me from this series.
I’m torn on this one. I’m might have given up after the first chapter or two. The writing was weak with repeated conversation topics without acknowledgement that they had asked or spoke of the topic (him having a dark past). Then the narrators weren’t good at translating the material with the right emotions. Also, Kristen dialogue with slang and turn of phrases didn’t match with her age and background at times. (Yes, I know she didn’t grow up rich. But she was hobnobbing long enough for her dialogue to be upscale).
But the turn happened for me during the first sex scene. Holy hell that was hot. And just when I thought we might get more MC stuff, we didn’t.
Plus, though this is a novella, I thought skipping over him telling her he was a biker was a mistake. (Only telling us it happened in summary) This is a key thing in their relationship. It shouldn’t have been glossed over.
I could have done without the scene with son as it really didn’t play role or cause intrigue for future installments. Or without the drawn out food date which explained their meal in too much detail that added no value to the story.
I’m on the fence if I would read more from this author. I love MC books and something tells me this author would shine in a longer format. Novellas not so much.
A couple having their first relationship with each other in their 40s almost 50s was different! Usually those are second chances! This was fun and refreshing read! Also my first MC romance! But I feel this was extremely light on MC. It barely mentions his club! I can’t wait to read Slashes in the Snow! I have a feeling it’s about their kids falling in love😘
I have no idea why I haven’t devoured every single word this author has ever written!! WOW
This is a quick one guys. There’s not much to say except I am really glad I got to read this book back to back with Slashes!! Also, daaaaamn, this was hot!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Snowfall is the prequel to Slashes in the Snow. This is a fast read but is the back story of how Gerard ended up with Kristen and will play into a pretty huge thing in Slashes in the Snow. Gerard is Ky's father and Kristen is Kira's mom. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag about the choices he makes so you just need to read this book. I loved it. I read it in one sitting.
