I had a hard time finishing it. It bored me.

So far this is a good series. Epic? no. but a good read. She does a great job introducing believable characters that vary in ethnicity which is a great change of pace from SWM/F vamps. I've already started the third and she does a good job of melding the story arch while focusing on individual sets of characters featured in each book.

If you liked Lynsay Sands' Argeneau Vamps you'll like this. I actual like this better because the story archs are better done.

Danger Calls is Book 2 in The Calling Series by Caridad Pineiro and once again she does not disappoint. You will find yourself immersed in this book and the characters will have you turning each page anticipating what is to come.

This novel opens up a bit more the world of the first novel in the series, although there is still only one isolated vampire and the romance is between two humans. The emotional conflict is not very well developed, but the sotry overall is interesting.
