Really liked this book as I was going to do a personal experiment with the carnivore diet. Very informative and helpful, even with recipes to help keep the limited fare interesting. The idea of seeing how the body responds to being without any sugar is intriguing to me and I can see this as the fastest way to loose unwanted pounds. I think this is also the way to reset the bodies baselines, giving the pancreas and insulin a rest. I am equally interested in reintroducing foods one by one to determine what my body likes and needs and what interferes with optimal physiology. Very easy and fast read. If you are thinking about the carnivore diet, this will be a big help in implementing it.
Whilst I agree with the carnivore diet, I was not very impressed with this book.
Very light content with no real 'meat'.
This book just gives an overview of the benefits of the diet. If you are looking for a book that explains each of the pros and cons with specific detail and much greater in-depth discussion, this does not do that.
Might as well just listen to some of Stephens YouTube videos to get the gist of this book.
The main content of the book was about 110 pages. Printed in a large font with large margins. Really makes it hard to read as the Justification spreads out the words and makes for extra large gaps between words. Printed in normal font at a normal 12pt size this book would be about 45-50 pages.
I've tried KETO diets and the rest and discovered that this may be a better option for me. Not only for its simplicity, but because there are so many things that could cause problems for me like dairy and everything else. I enjoyed this introductory book and recommend it to anyone who may contemplate a diet of this type.
This book does a good job of of explaining the basics. I wish it had greater details on research that backs the health benefit s discussed. Worthwhile read.
I will recommend this book to anyone. Clearly written and easy to read. The ideal first book to learn about the carnivore diet. Ideal for me who hate food preparation and calorie counting, plus food diaries. Very informative and has some recipes too but it's not a cook book. You can learn from this.
