Get in. Get some. Get out. What could go wrong? Everything. Everything can go wrong.
Especially when the hot guy at the bar I went home with on a whim turns out to be the ridiculously sexy younger brother of Hollywood's leading man, Landon Trask--who also happens to be my new boss.
In the blink of an eye, Lex McCleod goes from hot one-night stand to hostile housemate who seems hellbent on seeing me fail...when he isn't luring me into the pool house and talking me out of my panties, that is.
USA Today best-selling author Megyn Ward lives on coffee, chocolate and more than the occasional glass of red wine. When she's not spending time with the hot, dirty-talking Alphas and the strong, capable women who love them who live in her head, she's busy chasing chickens (and kids), hanging laundry and burning dinner. Either way, she is almost always in the company of her eight dogs, her truest and most faithful companions, and her almost as faithful husband, Joe. Megyn is also the author of the award-winning Sabrina Vaughn thriller series, written under the name Maegan Beaumont.
Trading in Mr Bland for Mr Wrong for a sizzling sweet HEA
All sorts of favorites!! 1.) Not so sad about the recent end of her long term relationship, more upset that her plans were disrupted. 2.) Sassy best friend who encourages a naughty one night stand 3.) One night stand with a hottie so far out of her league she just can't say no 4.) Hollywood 5.) Brothers who are there for each other but also give the most guff 6.) He loves her as she is 7.) Grumpy old cat with attitude.
No airs. No games. Both of them, Elle & Lex, have their insecurities, but they strengthen each other.
And the child who brings them all together is adorable.

My first book from this author and I am not sure why. I do know that it won’t be my last by Megyn Ward. Loved Elle and Lex. The chemistry and attraction that was between them was so good. Great characters and storyline. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I loved how the characters were described and the instant love Lex and Elle felt was right up my alley however I felt a lot of things were unresolved and unanswered at the end. I was fully immersed in the miscommunication back and forth when all of a sudden they were saying I love you and when I turned the page it was over. I wasn't paying attention to the percentage while reading but I wish it was longer! The entire premise was the FMC getting the tutor and caretaker job caring for a little girl and they eventually came to somewhat of a good situation for her but I felt there was a lot more that could have been done with the entire situation before it ended.
Good scenes. Good characters. Good story line. I have enjoyed each of the books I have read by the author so far, however, she should seriously consider a new proofreader. Each book has had errors, which does happen, but this one has more errors in it than the others. It's the reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I enjoyed reading the story of Lex and Ellinore. Love the storyline with his niece Cassie. I appreciate that Megyn writes unique and creative stories that are different in a great way than the other stories out there. Love learning more about the couple throughout their journey of friendship. I am almost current with her whole collection!
I really enjoyed reading the story of Lex & Ellenore. He's gorgeous and flirty and she's beautiful and weird and together they just somehow click. I loved how Lex was able to bring out a side of her she didn't know existed and how she made him want to be worthy of her. It was an unexpected gem of a read filled with fun, steam and a precocious niece with a whole lot of attitude!
This was a completely new to me author freebie and I absolutely loved it. Elle is adorably unhip, not full on nerdy. Her sexy one night stand Lex feeling bumped from his niece’s life and inadequate was so emotional. The sexy bits were hot. I wanted this story to be twice as long. I am looking forward to brother Landon and best friend Dani’s story.
Another great read by Megyn Ward. Lex and Elle story was so up and down, but I’m glad they finally figured it and admitted their feelings. Also, I have to say it was great ending to their story
This book has all the feels as do all of Megyn’s books. This was a super heartwarming story of unexpected lovers that will tug at your heartstrings from the very start to the very last page, not to mention many hot and steamy scenes as well. Don’t miss this one!
Megyn is one of my favorite authors, hands down. I always wish there was more and this book is no different. Funny and relatable characters that you want to be friends with. Tension that keeps you turning the page and ridiculously hot scenes. Perfect quick read.
Talk about a hot 🔥 book 📖. Megyn has a way with words. It's a hot, romantic book, and every word in this book hooks you in, and it keeps you wanting more!! Lex and Elles' story is fabulous!! I love ❤️ 😍 💖 it.
The story was prettu short the sexual tentio 4/5 they way lex comanded yumm really liked it thought it could have been more to the story or made longer but it was good overall
I'd call this more of novella than a book. It started out cute, but then 5 weeks happened in 2 pages and then an epilogue. It's like she got bored with writing it and just wrapped it up as quickly as possible. Book ended at like 65% and then some previews of other books.
You never do find out why Lex was so obsessed with staying close to Cassie. Even with Rachel being his best friend it didn't really make sense. Also the progress from Lex wanting to get rid of Elle to not was so fast.
This was a good book of a one night stand that turned into her new boss’s brother was her one night stand. She is hired to help his daughter but she is falling for the brother. This does end in a HEA where they start a school together.
Fun first read by this author. The chemistry between Elle and Lex steamed off the pages. The premise was good and the way Lex was with his niece….swoon. I just wish the story was longer.
This was a great audiobook, Lex and Elle had nothing in common, she’s an out of work teacher and he looks like a beach bad boy working at a bar that he has just been fired from. Or do she thinks..
I was disappointed in this book for two reasons. First, Elle felt like such a sucker for Lex, who treated her like shit until he wanted to sleep with her. Even then, he treated her like she was disposable. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for bossiness in the bedroom, but this just felt like Lex took advantage of Elle and she allowed it. Come on, girl! Make him work for it!
The other disappointment of this book was the abruptness of the conclusion. All of a sudden, just when things started to evolve into something more, I was reading the epilogue. I thought maybe I missed pages. Chapters, even.
I’ve read “Pushing Patrick” and “Claiming Carrie,” and liked them much better than this book. Maybe this was just a one-off?
So this book was absolutely adorable. Ellenore and Lex are great characters with amazing chemistry. There is some steamy moments where Lex totally corrupts sweet and innocent Ellenore but he also helps her find her backbone.
I will say there was some editing issues in the copy I received with wrong words, not anything major but they probably should have been caught. Otherwise this was a fantastic fun read.
**I did receive a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair review**
Mr. Wrong is the first book in The Clan McLeod series and is the story of Ellenore (Elle) and Lex. She has just gotten hired to work one of the hottest movie stars. When she is out celebrating with her bestie she lets lose and part of the is to have some adult fun time with a sexy man that she meets when out at the bar, Lex. The next morning there is a bit of a strange revelation that puts a real crimp into her fun night and her new job. Ooops!!!
I found this story-line to be nicely developed and engaging. Elle is a great character who has not really spread her wings much and is trying to find her place and balance in life. But when you add Lex in it throws her way off balance but in a good way, as it makes her stretch. Lex is a wonderful character as he is right there with Elle and does not put her down or make her feel bad when she questions things or is unsure of situations. So while I liked this story I found it was a bit drawn out at times. I think it could have been edited down and made tighter which would have made it a more engaging read for me. Additionally there were some serious proofreading issues which annoyed me. However, overall I did like the story and am looking forward to the next in The Clan McLeod series.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
