Beth Cassidy is out to prove something. To the town and herself. When she decides to run for mayor, the one thing she doesn’t count on is bad-boy Mac McKenna showing back up in her life.
Mac moved away from Sweet River Falls and has no desire to have anything to do with the town that always considered him an outsider, but he can’t fight his growing attraction for the woman trying to overcome her own reputation in town.
The town that seems to be having its fair share of trouble.
And Mac seems to be right there every time something goes wrong. The cops and the town will never believe he’s innocent. Even when Beth’s best friend, Sophie, believes in Mac, it doesn’t totally alleviate the doubts in the back of Beth’s mind. Is Mac as innocent as he claims?
Mac vows to wipe the dust of Sweet River Falls from his boots, and leave the town far, far behind. For good this time. He means it.
Mac leaving for good is probably for the best. Beth is sure of it. Pretty sure…
Will Beth and Mac find a way to have more than just A Memory to Cherish?
Kay Correll is a USA Today bestselling author of sweet, heartwarming stories that are a cross between women’s fiction and contemporary romance. She is known for her charming small towns, quirky townsfolk, and the enduring strong friendships between the women in her books.
Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, knitting, or playing with her puppies - a cavalier who is too cute for his own good and a naughty but adorable Australian shepherd. Their five boys are all grown now and while she misses the rowdy boy-noise chaos, she is thoroughly enjoying her empty nest years.
OMG! These books just keep getting better and better. I just finished A Memory to Cherish. This book was so very good. I don't know where to start. Beth and Mac were one terrific story that I just couldn't stop until I finished. I don't know where Kay comes up with these stories, but the are absolutely the best there is. I am now going to start A Song to Remember in the morning since it is already after 2:00a.m. Thank you, thank you, Kay for your very talented writing and such heart-warming stories. You are truly amazing.🙂💜❤💖
This book had just about every problem one could have when trying to just be helpful. Flat tires begin the story but what you learn about the people in the story makes you realize how they can affect your thinking about the person. Also, when one tries to do everything they need to step back and make a decision on what they really can handle. I enjoyed reading this book.
Really enjoyed this book. It teaches many good lessons about family, friendship and forgiveness. It shows how bullying can affect someone's life for many years or an entire lifetime.
I adored book one and now two. Mac and Beth come to rescue eAch other when they both needed that someone special! PleAse read the seri and I hope to read more about Mac and Beth story!
The first book in the series I read because I needed a change from a dark thriller I had just finished. I kept going and read this one. I'm going to keep going because I really like happy stories and found them in this series. Looking forward to reading the next installment.
I enjoyed Beth's story from the very first page. The accidental meeting with former bad boy Mac who turned out to be a really important person in her life and in her family's lives. Couldn't put it down!
a "Hallmark" like story about a troublesome high school boy work left the town were people hated him to another nearby town where he had made good. only to be drawn back by a woman he knew from the old days.
Well written, better than the first one. It touches on some serious social issues that seem too easily solved but after all, this is a book and things have to happen fast.
This story was good. I wished that the ending would have been more detailed about Beth and Mac. I will be reading the final book in this series. Great reads.
This is Beth and Mac’s was story. A lady on a mission to save the beauty and peace of the lake. A guy just trying to survive without trouble. A flat tire or rather two flat tires bring them together. I loved the story. It was enjoyable. I do wish they had figured out who broke into her home.
