A few details may be added to the foregoing description. The papyrus came into the possession of the British Museum in 1901. In regard to size the pages are among the largest known of papyri in codex form 1, the largest dimensions of complete pages being cm. Height (leaf 61) and 265 cm. Width (leaves 6, The size of the written sel is 28 x 21 cm. (leaf 36) on an average. The number of lines on a complete page ranges between 33 (p. 41 r, 62 v) and 38 (36 r, 49 r, v), the usual number being 34 - 36.
