Reclaiming Hope #3

Keeping Them Unseen

Rate this book

Chris~

I used to think vampires were extinct, but it turns out, they’re merely hiding. When my pack stayed with some vamps a while back, I couldn’t believe how prickly and rude they all were… all but one: Dregan. I met him and my wolf went crazy, wanting to be close, wanting to rub up on him, wanting to bite him. It makes no sense. Vampire blood and shifter blood don’t mix. In fact, I’d never survive if I ever get a taste of what I so desperately desire. But I can’t get that vampire out of my head, even weeks and months after we left him.

Dregan~

When a little wolf caught my attention, I was surprised but intrigued. The more time he spent in my den, the more I wanted him to stay close. This little innocent wolf was driving me mad, making me want a little taste. But there’s a reason my den has been hiding for hundreds of years, and no matter how badly I crave that little wolf, I can’t have him. I couldn’t risk him getting hurt just to satisfy my needs, so I let him go. Though, nothing I do will make me forget how good he smelled, how delicious I know his blood would taste.

With something cruel and dark hunting Dregan and with Chris’s pack hiding from an evil force, will they ever be able to come together and help one another? Or will they let the evils of the world overtake them and let fear overshadow their desires?

***Keeping Them Unseen is the third book in the Reclaiming Hope series. Each book in the series will feature a different couple, but it’s recommended that you read the books in order because you will get more enjoyment out of the story. It’s a paranormal shifter romance between two men and is intended for Adults Only.***

Michele Notaro

Michele is married to an awesome guy that puts up with her and all the burnt dinners she makes—hey, sometimes characters are a bit distracting, and who doesn’t plot when they’re supposed to be cooking? They live together in Baltimore, Maryland with two little monsters, a three-legged princess, a four-legged goofball, and a cutie with giant ears (aka their two kids, their two cats, and their dog). She hopes to rescue another cat soon, and if her hubby wouldn’t kill her, she’d get more than one… and maybe a few more dogs as well.

She loves creating worlds filled with lots of love, chosen family, and of course, magic, but she also likes making the characters fight for that happy ending. She hopes to one day write all the stories in her head—even if there are too many to count!

Little wolf ...

4 stars
In my opinion, this one was much better than the previous. There was a love in it but it wasn't overly sappy like the previous, it was done right.
This book is Christopher and Dregan's story. A vampire and a shifter. Their mating should be impossible but what they feel for one another cannot be denied.
While they are discovering their feelings they are also forced to fight against dark magic. The dark witch and her followers are after Dregan and his den. They want to kill him and anyone he loves. This means Christopher too. They must continue to fight for survival.

I was so looking forward to Chris and Dregan's story, and it did not disappoint! I wasn't wild about the relationship in the second book, but I was already pre-disposed to be interested in these two, and the dynamic was exactly what I was hoping for. I loved the characters and the tension with one being a very old vampire and the other a relatively young shifter was absolutely my jam!

I enjoyed the additional wold-building and the way the over-arching plot advanced, and the background characters, as always, were great. I also think the way the author ~introduces~ the character(s) for the next book is generally really organic and natural, which is not a skill many MM romance authors seem to possess. I'm definitely interested and curious about the couple for the next book, but the way the set-up was woven into this one didn't detract from the main pairing.

I absolutely loved this book!!! I have been waiting patiently for Dregan and Chris's book and let me tell you it was so worth the wait!!! Watching Dregan fall in love with Chris was the absolute sweetest thing. I knew that this book would be my absolute favorite in this series and it is hands down. Of course there were twists and turns and things that I never saw coming but there was also hope and healing and the promise of a new beginning for some. I highly recommend this story to all....It is so good!!! I can't wait for Jael's book to be here...its going to be a good story I'm sure. This author knocked it out of the park....well done!!!!

I did it again. I've read a book totally out of the right order and in doing so I only figured out that this was set in a dystopian world around 70%. Maybe I ignored all the previous signs or chalked them up to being part of the paranormal side of the world but it actually only clicked for me that late. And I'm not mad at that because I'm quite sure, had I known about this being dystopian, I wouldn't have finished it. Not a big fan of dystopian. But as I was introduced to it being dystopian so late, I'm definitely interested to read the next book because Jael. ;) Not sure I'll read the previous two as they are wolf/wolf pairing but maybe I'll do. We'll see.

Overall: really liked this book and will definitely check out more by this author. :)

There’s something so addicting about the way this author writes. The characters are so lovable that you can’t help but root for them, the world building is super immersive, and the plot exciting.

I did find this to be my least favorite of the series so far, just I just missed the pack since they were kind of MIA for a good chuck of the book. The relations between the too leads was swoon worthy. Degan was mysterious, brooding, and sexy. Meanwhile, Chris was so precious I wanted to swaddle him in blankets and give him whatever he wanted.

I really enjoyed the previous books and was really looking forward to this book.

It definitely didn't disappoint. The world building done in the previous two books kept growing in this one, and things you learn here help making so much more sense of it.

I loved Chris in the previous books and he was as good as ever here. I loved how everything about him, he was so wonderful with people around him, despite everything he has gone through.

I enjoyed Dregan and the way his character grew. The contrast between his relationship with Chris through the book and the rest of the people around them.

I really loved it and I can't wait for what's next 😊

The story continues

Bad bad bad witches are after our guys and Chris finds his mate. I loved the action and danger mixed with moments of tenderness and family. I liked seeing a variety of POVs as it added to the story and getting to know the characters. Looking forward to the next book!

Great Read

This series has been so intriguing, mysterious, and just filled with action and romance that I just can't wait to read the next one. I loved Strahan and Christopher as a couple. Their love is something special, but I feel for Jael. Hopefully he'll find a mate.

Fantastic!

This book was a mixture of everything and everyone. The story flowed and you get wrapped into it all ... experiencing every event and every plot twist as if you’re right there! How could you not LOVE that about a book?

The love story between Dreg and Chris was one of a kind! The emphasis on family, pack and clan was everything! All of the characters were well developed and simply awesome to read about! Of course my favourite remains Felix but, how could anyone not love him? I want him to be free so bad.

Jael was also remarkable and I simply can’t wait for the next book!

5 stars!

Dregan is a vampire, an Elder. He’s the oldest vampire in the world and suffered a life of pain and loss because of the Dark Witch until he meets a certain wolf. Christopher is a member of the Airlin pack. He’s quiet and overprotected by his pack mates. Until he meets a certain Vampire. When the Dark Witch tracks Christopher down in order to hurt Dregan, the pack will be separated from them, and Christopher and Dregan will start a journey together to find Chris’pack and maybe themselves in the process.

Keeping them Unseen by Michele Notaro is book 3 of the Reclaiming Hope series. I adored this book, just like I adored the two previous.

Dregan is an Elder vampire, he’s the oldest among his kind. He seems to be cold and standoffish except when he’s with Christopher. The young wolf brings out the best side of Dregan, one that no one knows except maybe his fledgling Jael. I completely melted for Dregan, he lived a life full of pain, suffering and loss. He broke my heart. I loved how, despite all his pain and sorrow, he still has hope for the future. His meeting and relationship with Christopher is what will save him really. I loved him.

Chris is quiet with a big heart. Because of what happens to him at the hands of the SOB of Gregory (“How we Survive”: Reclaiming Hope #1), his pack mates overprotect him. But when Chris meets Dregan, he will have to stand up against his pack and the other vampires. Christopher is one of my favorite members of the Airlin pack with Zeke and Felix (can’t wait to have their stories btw). He’s quiet and sensitive with a big heart. I adored how he is with Dregan. He’s sassy, fights back without hesitation and very protective of him. I was rooting for them since the beginning of their journey.

I really loved this book and this series. Michele Notaro is brilliant and talented. She created a complex world between the humans, vampires, shifters, spellcasters and the worst, the Dark Witch. Each book is about a couple in the main plot, but all the books are connected together with the war in the background and Felix’s quest about his curse. She brilliantly merged all of it together without getting confusing for the readers. The characters are fabulous, well developed and complex. They are humans even if they are supernatural.
This series is, in my opinion, one the best paranormal series in this genre. A series that we should have in our PAL if we’re fan of this genre. I gladly recommend this book and the whole series. You won’t regret it at all.

5 OptimuMM for the Vampire and his little wolf.

Not a review, just a few comments due to how unhappy I was with the last book.
I really liked the 1st story. I barely got through the 2nd, but I loved this 3rd book.

It has been 5 years since this was published. It appears this series will not continue even though it is obvious it is meant to continue. I felt pleased that enough of the storyline was wrapped up to not feel upset or cheated per se. The things not completed, the author "left enough crumbs" that I can see how they might be resolved in the "future HEA".

The one thing that makes me sad is that I (for some weird reason) absolutely love Gargoyles. Needless to say, I am really interested in what looks like would have been the next story if the series had been continued.

I am not continuing on to the "spin-off" novella. Choosing to leave this world "as is", since I'm content with how things left off even though unfinished.

Keeping Them Unseen By Michele Notaro

Christopher's pack has noticed that he's become quiet, sad, and spending a lot of time by himself, but they don't know why. Chris misses Dreagan horribly, but because he's a vampire he doesn't think his pack would be accepting of him. (He should know better!)

When the Dark Witch hunts down both Dreagan and Christopher they band together once again in the hopes of ending her.

As much as I absolutely love both Chris and Dreagan I didn't feel their emotions nearly as much as I did Kai and Patty's. And I was really sad to see Kai and Patty were rarely in this book even though others from the pack were.

The book is written in both Chris and Dreagan's POV. This book was fantastic and except for one part it wasn't nearly as overwhelmingly sad or angsty as the last one.

This is not your lil sister’s Twilight!

This is a m/m paranormal/shifter/vampire/suspense romance, book 3 in the Reclaiming Hope Series and should be read in order! Notaro is a master at world-building, character development and really writes the baddies well! This installment is not as dark as book 2, but it does address Christopher’s past trauma (from book 1), and deals with some truly evil creatures out to get our Arlin Den. The vampires are really written so well, my only criticism is that besides a small novella being released, there hasn’t been a conclusion to this series yet! I really need to know what happens next!

so into this

Another great read. I’m loving the series. I’m loving the world, well I don’t like what’s I the world but I’m loving the setting. The thing I love most all is that even though these are fated mates, they don’t just dive in to the mate part. I love that they are hesitant, even with the pull and they get to know each other. I’m so glad cam found his person and to see the pack expand. The writing was amazing, the smexy was raw and hawt, and you defiantly need to have read previous books to understand side characters.. oh Jaul what have you done? I also hope certain wolf who has a “mate” finds his mate so he will stop pining over another.

Vampire/Shifter MM adventure

4 stars!

This is the 3rd book in the Reclaiming Hope series. Each book follows a different couple but has an over arching story so it is best to read in order.

I love the creation of this world. I love how the author fully immerses the readers in this world by having language and culture for the characters. I absolutely hate that it always ends on a cliffhanger. I need MORE!

Overall, a great addition to this saga. A true mix of romance and adventure.

Well...

New to this genre and I must say compared to the last two books in this series this one's a lot better, however, there are far too many inconsistencies for the reader to maintain a sense of plausibility (for this genre).... none of the characters seem to grasp what's going on around them so much so that even a close to 2 thousand year old vampire doesn't grasp that he's meet his mate and is confounded by what happens.
Nick doesn't have a personality, trying to spoilers so I'll leave it at that. An almost enjoyable read.

Getting better

This series is getting better by the book... The thing is the war is getting more complicated and intriguing.... I hope this author does this series justice .... It's so many ways she can go... I know Rowan has his book coming ... I do want his POV and his story... But Jael is next and I can't wait!! The only thing that's annoying is that they don't know their true mates of the rip...the going back and forth and questioning feelings makes me want to scream...but still amazing series!!!

Amazing series!

The books in the reclaiming hope series have been such amazing reads! Each book has been different in tone and unveiled new layers to the characters world and the continuing story.
I found Keeping Them Unseen exciting, interesting and enthralling!! I have been waiting for Chris and Dregan's story and it was so worth the wait. I am now even more addicted and can't wait to see what happens next!!

Another awesome addition to the Reclaiming Hope series. I just can't get enough of the Arlin Pack and their True Mates. I am normally not a fan of sympathetic vampires but Michele comes through with a legitimate version that doesn't paint them in glitter. I really enjoyed this book and the solutions she has come up with for the threatening situation the Arlin pack and the two vampire dens. I am anxious to meet more good magic users and see their combined forces put an end to the Dark Witch.

Why? WHY?

Scary dark witches

4.5 stars rounded up. I love this series but this book is not my favorite. I’m biased and I like the Arlin pack wolves more. I like Chris and he deserves his HEA after all he’s been through but I would have preferred another wolf shifter. This is another intense read just like the first two books. Dark witches are so scary. Waiting (patiently) for the next book of the main story.

Chris and Dregan💕

I absolutely love the Reclaiming Hope Series and each book is better than the last! Chris and Dregan are both attracted to each other from the beginning but with one being a shifter and the other a vampire they don't see how they can be more.
This book is full of action, twists and turns. While the main focus of the book is Chris and Dregan, we get to hear from a few other characters as well. I can't wait for the next book!

love

I continue to love this series and the couple in this one is thrilling and unique. I found the power plays between the characters though to be more stressful than fun. Overall it’s just a giant mysterious and suspenseful plot that I can’t wait to see end along with everyone’s happy endings.
