I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Vol. 5

Rate this book
I'd been killing slimes for 300 years-and then I had to go into a huge dungeon! I didn't really want to go at first, but after exploring it, I finally discovered that the exciting life of an adventurer...is probably still not for me. (Maybe a little?) Then there was that visit to Beelzebub's house and sending my daughters to school-things have gotten so busy I've almost forgotten how to take it slow!

Another fun slice of life with Azusa and the family, and of course a new girl added. I loved the extra story to fill in Beelzebub's back story.

Challenging to write a review for a volume 5 or later because the only people reading these books at this point are already fans of the series (at least to some extent). This is my first volume where none of the stories had already been done in the anime series, which I am a super fan of. Without knowing the stories already, I enjoyed this volume quite a bit more than earlier volumes. Enough that I went out and immediately bought a couple more volumes.

That said, this volume wasn't peak Killing Slimes in that... there are 4 stories, roughly, in the main novel, and two of them are really alternate versions of jokes or stories that were already done in volumes 1-4.

Still enjoyed! I'm hoping volume 6 will have even more new stuff for Azusa and her found family.

3.5 stars.

Beelzebub short story (sobbing) thank you god. Wow.

This one was nice, I think my only peeve was with the center part when Shalsha and Falfa and. Sandra (Idk how I feel about this name tbh) go to school... After establishing their genius even in volume 1 it really... kinda.... wasn't enjoyable to read imo but it was fine. Other than that this novel was okay, but I'm very biased because Beelzebub. Honestly it's... well, it might get stale soon, this series.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite volumes! This one was Soo good! We get to meet a new Character! And the chaotic café opens up once more! I'd love to eat there! Pecora being a little demon as usual! Azusa's children owning the place hahaha. I absolutely loved this volume! I want some of that food!

This book is much like the other four volumes in that it's utterly adorable. The sweetness between them all is a much needed change in the world and I throughly enjoy reading every volume.

The 2 bonus chapters of Belbeezub stand alone story is an added bit of fun.

Highly recommend!
