And FL suffered a LOT. Like ... o_O
And then the "baddies" just ... died? So easily after ALL THAT SUFFERING?! I just ... WHAT.
Not mad I listened to it ... would even rank it above a number of other audiobooks? Like much tighter story than them?
But dude did FL suffer a lot.
I think my biggest issue was the ending was so rushed?
Bleh. Like - engaging - said everything " " worth saying in the notes, but also didn't say much there >.>
Lots of suffering, not enough sweetness, but at least a somewhat devoted couple - took they way too long to get together then just BANG.

Jiao Xue(?) is FL … ML … not her 5th “brother” right? (Zhong Heng? Rong Heng?)
Heng Yuan Chen Fang is … a decade? Older than FL & teaching her swordsmanship - ah 9 years older. Her mental age is the 20s though 😹🤷🏻♀️
O.o 4th brother Zhi Sheng likes FL too.
Now Zhong Sheng too - I don’t even know which brothers these are

Cheng Fan goes to visit her (wait I thought it was him at the hot springs too? No?) oh 😱 the guy at the hot springs was the older brother of the not monk/guy FL likes? (Yuan Lai Chao is the older brother…) what’s up with this.
Oh no! Tragedy in her family! And … Yi Jin the not monk kisses her
Zheng Zi the wife of Yuan Lai Chao, older brother of not monk’s brother … what a mess.
Cheng Fan telling FL her hands aren’t dirty & disgusting with blood. Her refusing to leave with him. Uh oh her brothers saw them hugging.
😩😭😭😭 why did her younger brother not leave. Now he’s dead. Valiant but pointless.
OH NO! Asshole other side violated the rules of war and now the Ping family people are starting to turncoat
Damn. Survivors are jumping into the ocean so as to not be captured/killed since defeat is inevitable. Can’t be captured.
Zhin Shi that baby asshole human rights violator had FL shot with an arrow. 😭 right before she was about to jump in to try to save her brothers
Oop and she jumps into the water cuz she didn’t want to be captured - but Yi Zhen jumped after her. Looks like she was saved.
Poor Ping family. Zhong Shen & Zhi Shen both are probably dead 😭

Hm, glad it all worked out. ML agreed to be an advisor for 5 years … glad the wife of that guy stopped trying to kill FL once she realized who she was.
Both those brothers died in the 13 year time jump. Their daughter is what 12ish and they have a 10 year old son? ❤️ wish we got more happiness.
