Not a fan of near-rhymes. Also, why the L, Y, and A yellow on the front. That’s a graphic design no-no. It’s completely purposeless. It doesn’t even have the designed randomness some designers can pull off, it’s just agitating.

From the woman who brought us Bitter With Baggage Seeks same, we find more chickens in compromising positions, G-rated for the little ones. Tanen takes us through the year, month by month, with little chickens who always make us laugh. My particular favorite is March. "On St. Patrick's Day we march in the yearly parade. There's music and dancing and green lemonade. I walk down the street with my whole girl scout troop. It would have been fun, had I not stepped in poop." Accompanied by a picture of green chickens in girl scout regalia on parade. Classic.

My niece loved Sloane Tanen's books when she was a toddler. I bought one for her on a whim since I read Tanen's Bitter with Baggage. It turned out to be one of my favorite books to read to her as well. Coco is adventurous and teachs the months/seasons. It's a great book.

Annabelle loved the pictures in this book. She was trying to pick up the little chicks! It was a little long for her but it would be great for preschoolers.

Another Coco book Rose and I enjoyed together! This is really funny. I recommend reading it at least once! I'm considering giving one of these "Coco" books to my sister for her baby!

We received this book as a gift, and the surreal, wacky photo illustrations are weird but fun. Adults will get a kick out of reading the verses about each month of the year.
