This is a series of math word problems in a kitchen setting rather than a practical guide to the math used in cooking. Children are invited to do a number of conversions of measurement in volume, temperature, time and geometry. The usual of actual recipes and more practical applications would have given this book a wider audience. As it is, children will likely only read this book if required by their math teachers.
