Celine is a heavenly watcher, an angel in charge of making sure demons stay on the right side of true evil. Man. It has been so long since I have read a book revolving around angels.

So I found it a nice change if pace when I started this one. Especially seeing an adult version of one, since most I read were of the YA verity haha.

But I honestly really enjoyed this book. It had a great plot, and a very unique set of characters in it that made me enjoy the story.

There were a couple parts that maybe dragged at times for me. Which is why I rated this one 4 stars. But that by no means means this isn't still a really good story.

Something I liked in this one were the whole fine lines between good and evil that Felicia played with were something I enjoyed as well. It wasn't a huge plot point I guess. But more of an undertone I personally noticed a lot. And I liked how she made everything into shades of grey vs black and white. That even pure and good forms and evil and bad forms may bot always be what they seem. And that maybe everyone had a little of both or neither in them. Idk. Could have just been me. But I loved that subtlety it all offered during the book.


And let's face it, Levi and Celine are just two of those characters you can't help but want to find their way to each other too. There is so much chemistry and tension between them. And the mix of Celine's sweet and bit sheltered and nieve self. Played so well with Levi's cocky and he knows it self assuredness.

Which let's be honest ya'll..... led to some super steamy fun parts of the book *fans self*

And I really liked the dynamic between both them and even charters like Jake and Marcus, and how they all added a bit of their own parts and stories to added to the book (and also, I am all about being on team Jake. And would love for a prequel novel about his story. Just saying *hint hint nudge nudge* haha)

This was just such a fun glow up book for me. Taking a plot device I enjoyed and that got me reading the way I do now. And having a fun and h.o.t.t adult version of it to enjoy now (I still love my tame YA ones too)

I would totally suggest to anyone wanting to dive into one of Felicia's books, to go pick this one up. You will fall head over heels for Levi and Celine (and Jake too haha) and get all that fun alone reading time *wiggles eye brows* while reading too hehe

I picked this book up because I have been dying to get my hands on some steamy kinky angel and demon romance! I came for the steamy sex...but I stayed for the story....and what a story it was!

Levi is a stunning half demon who our h is unable to resist! Celine our h is an angel who is supposed to watch over Levi and make sure he doesn't cross lines. Or so she thinks.

This book kept md guessing to the end and then...cliffy! Ugh! But no worries I spoke to the author and it sounds like more is on its way! *Thank god*

I read this super fast which for me is saying something as I have 5 kids(including new twins). I just couldnt put the book down and gound myself reading a page or two every free second I had! I would highly recommend.

Side note the sex scenes actually arent bad so its not a whole lot of "smut".

Ps. I do enjoy "smut" though ;)

This was a short read but it was packed with story. I loved the characters and especially the secondary characters. I can not wait for more of this story (let's hope there's more), seriously needs to know what happens next!!
