In the next book in James Patterson's bestselling Middle School series, Rafe Khatchadorian's hilarious little sister, Georgia, is back for another rollicking adventure!
It's not easy being Rafe Khatchadorian's sister. He's got quite a reputation around school, and Georgia's got it hard enough as is! With a super secret crush on her classmate Sam Marks, a Rube Goldberg machine challenge to dominate, and constant confrontations with vicious Missy Trillin and her evil Princess Patrol to look forward to, Georgia can't help but throw all her energy into the one thing that makes her her kick-butt, all-girl rock band, We Stink!
When Georgia's favorite rock band, Lulu and the Handbags, advertise a major music competition where the winner gets to jam with Lulu herself, Georgia will pull all the stops to make sure We Stink wins--even if it means asking her annoying older brother, Rafe, for help! Will his crazy ideas work, or land her in serious trouble?

Ha ha ha! This novel is soooo funny, if not a bit cool! Georgia, Rafe's sister, has to make her band, We Stink (terrible name, right?) win the competition to perform with her favourite singer, Lulu and her band, The Handbags. I recommend this if you have a good sense of humour.
Ok the begining of this book made me feel bad because it said after I read this I would want to read more but I didn't. Also I have never rated a book 2 stars before. This book was given as a gift so I was forced to read it.
This was a very easy read. It wasn't deep or anything like that. It was really just about Georgia's music, friendship problems, bullies, evil brother. It seems like a lot but she handles it. This is not really a YA book. I just like to read this series because it is usually from Rafe's point of view, and it is usually more interesting. I really liked Sam and Georgia because they are really cute together!

I honestly enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to. I think that is mainly because something is actually working out for our MCs. I was previously bored with how nothing turned out right, but this book didn't annoy me as much. I would definitely recommend for a quick fun read.
Born to Rock is a great book. This book is about a girl named Georgia Khatchadorian that was “Born to Rock”.And she just follows her dreams to make them come true. Also, this book is just filled with so many emotions, sarcasm, and sas.And it is also a great story on talking and making things better with her friends which she got in problems with and fixed them with the power of friendship.I would really recommend this book to anyone,(everyone),that can really connect to the story and really make sense of what is going on.
Born to Rock (Middle School #11) is a fiction book directed towards kids. It was written by James Patterson and Chris Tebbets and illustrated by Neli Swaab. This book changed my view on what life is really about and why you shouldn't wait because sometimes it's too late and you will never have that chance again. This book was about a girl named Georgina and her brother rafe. Georgina hated her brother and he also hated Georgina. She ends up getting in a band she calls it We Stink. Then one day her favorite band has a competition for all girls under a certain age to post online and get votes. The top 10 get to go and audition for the pre show and the winner gets 1000 dollars and gets to do the pre performance show, but she finds out that just posting random videos here and there is not going to do it so she recruits her brother to help her in return he will get some of the prize money. He comes off with a plan but it's not very legal but doesn't tell her what the plan is so she doesn't get mad about it. When all is done the video blows up and they are getting votes and that's when they start performing in a bunch of different places and start moving up in votes. Finally when the last day comes they just made it. That weekend they drive to the audition place but just before they go on get in a fight and are all mad at eachother. The audition still goes amazing but they don't win. When they get home they stop talking to each other and they are all really sad. Finally they talk about it and resolve it and get the band back together. The book was pretty amazing but the brother is a big trouble maker and doesn't get punished how he should have so it's not that good of an influence on little kids but i loved the book otherwise. I think it goes without saying that you should read the whole series before reading this book but I can't wait to read the other books and this is definitely one of my favorites out of the series.
Pretty good book, although it was a lot like other basic storylines. There is an enemy and the character has to either defeat them or overcome them in some way, and this story was all about that. This book could use a more complicated storyline, maybe mix it up a little.
“WE MADE THE TOP 11.” Middle School Born to Rock is about a girl who wants to be a Rockstar, but there are so many things that are getting her off track, that she almost does not want to be a Rockstar. Georgia (The one of the main characters) enters a contest with her band, the contest is for the top 11 bands in the voting, whoever is in the top 11 in voting gets to meet the best band. Georgia throws party's and performs so that people can vote for her band. The band started from last all the way to 12th and now they are staying up all night to see if they make the top 11. I like this book because it is like an adventure for Georgia and I also like how there are many main characters because that made the book super interesting. I didn’t like how in the book it didn’t make the mom a big part of the book because she was helping Georgia a lot, but she didn’t get any credit which is something I don’t like. This book is for 5th grade and up because there are some moments where some of the main characters are dating. But I rate this book out of 5 a 4.5 because the book is filled with interesting stuff and it is filled with energy which makes me want to read the book more.
Born to Rock is a story about Gerogia Khatchadorian, who is in the Middle School. The story revolves around her journey of becoming a rockstar. She wants to win a music Video contest and wants her Band , We Stink to perform at the Lulu and the Handbags Concert. She is willing to do whatever it takes to win the contest . She even gets her troublemaker brother Rafe Khatchadorian to help her win the contest.
Do you think she will win the contest ? What are the hurdles that she will have to go through? Read the book to know what all craziness happens along the way and how Georgia convinces her friends also to participate in the contest.
The story is humorous and a very easy read. It is typical of what happens in Middle School - Competition among peers, craziness, pressure to study ! The lovely illustrations add the cherry on the cake to the reading experience. Although it’s a part of Middle School Series, you don’t have to read the earlier books to read this book. I loved the flow of the book and it reminded me of my school days. If I enjoyed reading the book, I am sure the children will surely enjoy reading it too! This book is suitable for Middle School Readers.

When a World famous author James Patterson who’s many books I have read, writes books for Children, I had to get my hands on it too.
Middle School Born to Rock by @Jamespattersonbooks and Chris Tebbetts is a story about a Middle School girl named Georgia Khatchadorian and her musical journey as a Rock Star.
Georgia desperately wishes to win a Music Video Contest and wants her band “We Stink” to Perform at the Lulu and Handbag Concert. And in her quest to win, she is willing to do what ever it takes. She even ropes in her otherwise crazy and trouble maker brother Rafe to help her in this.
The illustrations of the book are really nice and its a easy read meant for middle school children. Reminded of my time when Sweet Valley and Nancy Drew was all I wanted to read during my School days.
This book is a part of Middle School Series, however, if you have missed reading earlier books of this series, you will still enjoy reading this one.
This book is surely going to my Niece as I think its a perfect read for her an i rate it at 4/5 in childrens book category.
Mom Katchadorian "I'd say it's better to lose as yourself than to win as someone else,"
Georgia's Idol, Pop Star Lulu, has a contest where the winner gets $1000 and becomes Lulu's opening act! She ignores her mom's sage advice and is fully focused on doing everything she can to get "We Stink" enough votes to win the contest. Not sure why she didn't just make a meme ... or do a catchy image, like this one!
She has other problems - she's partnered with the boy she likes, and has accidentally decapitated the town founder's statue and has to pay off the debt by doing Maid Service at Missy's house!
There are plenty of surprises, schemes and videos, enough to capture and keep your attention in this school of rock type fun book. Rock on girls, Rock on!

Born to Rock is about a girl named Georgia Khatchadorian and her adventure-ups and downs-to rock stardom. When she learns that she has the chance to perform at Lulu and the Handbags' concert, she knows that she is willing to do whatever it takes to get there. However, this is proven easier said then done. With her unwilling job as a maid and her relationship status, she may need to bring in some crazy ideas to try and win, and who else is better than her own crazy brother, Rafe? However, will things go as planned or will they spiral into the worst possible outcome? I really enjoyed this book because I love the series, and it is a nice, short, humorous read that you can just zoom through. I would recommend this book to people that like humor and previous readers of the series.
Georgia Khatchadorian and her band, We Stink enters a contest to be the lead group to introduce her favorite stars, Lulu and the Handbags. Of course, many other groups will enter...so how does she assure her friends that they will be in the top 12? Those are the ones who will have a shot at impressing Lulu.
Even though she doesn't want to, she enlists the help of her devious, rule-breaking brother, Rafe, to put them a leg up. Yup...all sorts of craziness happens. But, will it all be worth it?
Born to Rock is another humor-filled, light hearted book in the Middle School series. Kids will love Rafe and Georgia's interactions....on the way to stardom, maybe.
Interesting story about Georgia Khatchadorian and her secret crush and her passion about her band 'We Stink’!! She is in middle school and facing the challenges of being the focus of the in-girls, who seem to love to pick on her and her friends, and a desire to win a battle of the bands. We Stink enters a contest to be the lead group to introduce her favourite stars, Lulu and the Handbags. Well, Of course, there are many other groups will enter...so how does she assure her friends that they will be in the top 12? She may need to bring in some crazy ideas to try and win, and who else is better than her crazy brother, Rafe? However, will things go as planned or will they spiral into the worst possible outcome? I enjoyed this cute and humorous book.
The protagonist is an endearing girl called Georgia, and the story revolves around her life in middle school. This includes a troublemaker of a brother, her best friends and band mates, her crush as well as her arch enemy- the super popular Missy.
The story is a typical American school drama, similar to the Sweet Valley’s I read at a young age. However, this is more contemporary in its handling and funnier too. The awesome illustrations enhance the reading experience. Even if your child hasn’t read the other books in the “Middle School” series, they will find this easy to read. It’s written for both girls and boys and I appreciate that it doesn’t fall into a stereotype.
The book is entertaining and engaging and will appeal to young minds
Yet another Book that great for young minds is Middle School Born to Rock from no 1 bestselling author James Patterson. It’s a story of a girl named Georgia who is looking to make her all-girl rock band win a major competition announced by her favourite rock band Lulu and the handbags. This story will take you through various ups and downs and showcases what all Georgia will do to win this rock competition to meet her ideal Lulu herself.
It’s great to know how she takes her brother Rafe’s help to win the competition. It’s a great story that keeps you on your toes and makes you guess what next. I loved the book myself and I am sure down the line year or so my daughter would also love it. I found this suitable for kids around 8-14 yrs as by this age they get a good hold on the language.
Middle school : Born to Rock is the brand new part from the series by James Patterson. A story about a girl called Georgia Khatchadorian, this book will instantly remind you of the "the diary of a wimpy kid" format. Laced with humour and innocence of adolescent days, the books takes you through Georgia's struggle to participate in the war of bands to perform at the concert of her favourite rockstar. . I enjoyed reading the book and there were so many instances when I was laughing out loud or nodding my head in agreement. The story is pacy and the illustrations are super funny. A very good read for school kids in middle school age group, it has some beautiful lessons to learn too. Highly recommended for a light hearted, feel good read.
Theme: To me the theme of the story is risk-taking because Georgia recruits her brother to help her win the competition to make her dreams come true, but this can come with many consequences. Overall Impression: This book was a quick and easy read, but very enjoyable. It's full of humor, ups and downs, and shake my head moments. Even through all of Georgia's mishaps, such as messing up the town founder's statue, she still seeks out her dreams and this is what I'm taking away from the book. Likes: I enjoyed the well drawn illustrations, humor, and overall flow of the book. Dislikes: The theme was kind of glossed over and was between dream chasing and risk taking which I had to really think about. I also disliked how the book is sort of a roller coaster of ups and downs.
There's are two good reason why both children and adults love the Middle School series: 1: The stories are hysterical . 2. The illustrations are even funnier.
While the main plot is centered around a music video contest, there are a few realistic subplots tossed about; such as Georgia having to deal with school bullies, school projects, and having a bit of a crush on a fellow student. Mr. Patterson and his co-author, Chris Tebbetts, did a marvelous job creating a smart and fun story.
Everyone needs a good laugh once in awhile, and, luckily, Middle School: Born To Rock is full of lighthearted humor that can be enjoyed by just about anyone.
The Middle School series takes on a new twist as this volume focuses not on Rafe Khatchadoria, but rather on his sister Georgia. She is in the middle school and facing the challenges of being the focus of the in-girls, who seem to love to pick on her and her friends, and a desire to win a battle of the bands in order to win a chance for her band (We Stink!) to open for her favorite rock band, Lulu and the Handbags.
The book is filled with the usual fun hi-jinx and humor that has made this series so popular. it is definitely worth a read if you have enjoyed the earlier books in the series.
The story is linear and simplistically told. I found this book quite funny as well as amusing. Though it depicts the lifestyle of Middle schoolers in western world yet one can easily connect with the incidents mentioned in the book. The book highlights some of the most common middle school phenomenon like peer pressure, study pressure, the "going bonkers" phase of the middle schoolers, crushing over someone, having rivals etc. It evokes a sense of nostalgia especially if you have loved watching all the middle school series and movies.

The cover is so bright and fresh. It will definitely make you pick this book up. Georgia loves her all girl band, we stink. When a music competition is announced by her favourite band she definitely had to win. After all this is the one thing that makes her happy, so she puts in all what she's got. She seeks her brother, Rafe khatchadorian's help. Rafe has a great reputation and whether his plans would work or land them into trouble is something that you need to know after reading the book. The illustrations are good, supporting the narration.
Middle School - Born to Rock by James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts is an amazing read for the young readers. This story revolves around a young girl named Georgia who wants to her band to win a music competition. Read on to join her on her musical journey and the role of her brother in the same.
The book is beautifully written and the illustrations are on point. It is a part of the middle school series.
Even though this is one of a series of books that I have yet to read, this was a great introduction to the Middle School series. Despite its cheesy writing and having several cliches, it offers a fun ride through one girl's trip to becoming a rock star...and the comedy of errors that come along the way! Colourful and funny, it is one that is silly and enjoyable from start to finish.
This story is a roller coaster ride about the journey of Georgia to become a rockstar, her secret crush and her passion about her band 'We Stink' !!
Read this book to bring some craziness back to your life. This hilarious book will definitely leave you with some 'Back to School' memories and bring a smile on your face.
