She fought off the killer and escaped, and for two years has been trapped in a half-life, with no conscious memory of what happened or who attacked her, but plagued by debilitating flashbacks. Now a killer is targeting athletic young men in Glasgow, and when a friend of Jade’s is murdered she can’t shake the feeling it was because of her.
She turns to Dr. Amy Kerr for help, but as they begin to untangle the tortured knots in Jade’s mind, Amy begins to realise that the killer who attacked Jade is someone Amy knows all too well.

Holy moly, the twists and turns in this installment were insane! What I really liked about Episode 4 was that the story felt fresh - the same characters for the most part are present, and the ties to the first three books are still there, but there is a new killer on the loose and a whole lot of intrigue surrounding them. This is the style I like - investigation over action, a measured pace, and moments that throw you for a complete loop. Can't wait to get to the final book and finish up the series now!
Just Brilliant! Great read, following on from the Dark of Night Trilogy, this just keeps the pace going. Set in Glasgow with real locations and of course people speaking as the actually do! I can't wait for the next one!
This is a continuation of Dark of Night Episode Three. Although you don’t really need to read the Dark of Night trilogy I’d recommend that you do, mainly because they’re such a good read! Just Before Dawn is as gripping as the previous three books and has already left me waiting with baited breath for episode two to come out. Well done C S Duffy ....another belter. Thanks
