Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories. Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money. He was a terrorist. And if you think these conclusions are shocking, wait until you see the evidence.

This is one damning book. Even more than Spencer or Ibn Warraq, Muslims have objected to this book and author. Still if you can through the mass of repetition and overblown words/paragraphs, there is a LOT here to consider and wade through.

Taken primarily from two sources, "The Life of Muhammad" by Ibn Ishaq (published/translated in English by Guillaume (http://www.amazon.com/Life-Muhammad-I...) and Al Tabari's "The History of al-Tabari" as well as Bukhari's Hadith, and the Qur'an of course, this book shed light on a host of passages from the Qur'an and places them in context. This book did lead me to buy Ibn Ishaq. He is the source all Muslims look to for historical info on the beginnings of Islam so it is hardly anti-Muslim to quote from these sources or make them better known. Still I could do without the rhetoric or tone which is often insulting and inflammatory.

The writing style is completely unbalanced and over the top as is "Tea with Terrorists" which at least pretended to be a work of fiction. However, when it all comes down, it is still enlightening reading. You should know that it is available online in text and mp3 versions for FREE, (...yes, FREE!)

A very dry read, but quite worthwhile. It challenges you to draw your own conclusions while directly referencing the wealth of source material in the three major books that it is based on.

PS: It's free.
