All I want to do is help bring justice to Hannah so she can live the life that she deserves. I will forever love the woman that has helped me realize that I am not the broken man I believed myself to be. When I learn that Reed is a sadist, I want to be the best submissive that I can possibly be to please him. Not because I have to but because I want to. He has done so much for me and has shown me a side of him that he never wanted me to see. I want to show him that he is not the broken man that he thinks he is, but is so much more. Broken is book Three and the conclusion of The Owned Series.
So, The Owned Series comes to an end, and what an end it was. Without giving any spoilers, I will say that author Derek Masters gave Reed and Hannah the perfect ending to their story. The story was written really well and it showed character development. The last two chapters gave me the feels and it was bittersweet saying goodbye.
I look forward to what will come next from Derek Masters. His storylines and storytelling abilities have improved with each book and he never fails to make a fan out of me.
What a great ending to Reed & Hannah story, Hannah gets to no a lot more of Reed, Can they get the HEA they both deserve. Another awesome audio Derek, Rodney narrated brilliant again
First off..it’s kind of unclear but this is a series and must be read in order. All of the books are very short novella size books.
I read this book via audiobook. The narrator does this weird thing where every sentence ends with his voice going up almost as if each sentence is read as a question.
The story...where do I start? So girl graduates school. Her Dad wants to celebrate by taking her on a trip but then before they get on the airplane they’re picked up by guys that inform them her Dad has a gambling problem and either they can kill him or take her to sell. So naturally Dad gives her up so he can be set free and go gamble some more without saying goodbye. Meanwhile, hot cop that chases bad guys gets a list of women that are being sold and one girls name sounds familiar. He’s never met her before but because Las Vegas is such a small city he sees her all the time and knows a lot about her. The police won’t do anything to stop the auction. So hot cop goes in and buys her. Then he decides...she’s pretty hot and he’s already spent the money so he mind as well keep her for his own. Then heroine gives her entire life story to her capture day 2. She tells him about every bad boyfriend she’s ever had and he beats them up and takes pictures because why not.. then she finds the pictures and she’s terrified for her life and runs away but he catches her...and oh thank god he did cause really he’s saving her. But, he’s got a secret of his own. He’s a Dom looking for a sub and she would make a really good one. So like day 4 of being captured, sold in sex slavery, bought, escaped, captured again....heroine is TOTALLY into being blindfolded and flogged. Because duh. Who wouldn’t, right!?! 🤯🤯🤯

Broken is not an easy ending. It is just as intense and suspenseful as the first two books. This series has been consistent from the beginning. It is fast paced that has no breaks to breathe in. But, it does not lack for anything. The story is well written and has grabbed me from the very beginning. I had to binge listen to this series because I could not get enough of Reed and Hannah. In Broken, Hannah and Reed heal together as they discover they are a perfect match for each other. As Reed learns he is not broken, Hannah learns she wants to please. I loved this book the most in the series. It has a unique twist that really captured me. I love the strength and determination of Reed and Hannah and how they overcome so much together. Derek Masters carefully wove theses troubled characters together and made me love them in the process. I cannot wait to read more from Mr. Masters.
The narrator has been consistent through this series. I find that so important to keep the flow of the characters and series strong. Rodney Falcon really brought this book to life. WIth his performance, I got lost in the story and I could not stop listening until it was over, which left me wanting more. Rodney has the perfect voice for Reed. His narration of Hannah really brought out her strength in this book. This was a wonderful performance.
Broken The Owned Series, Book 3 By: Derek Masters Narrated by: Rodney Falcon
“Broken” is the final book of Derek Masters “The Owned Series” and it concludes Hannah and Reed’s story and what a story it is. I devoured this series, each book is well written, well told and completely captivating. A lot goes on in this book, storylines get wrapped up, truths are reveals and we see Hannah comes to terms to what she found out about her past, she also sees another side of Reed, the side he kept from her. These two characters may not have been perfect but they were perfect for each other. I loved how everything played out, there is never a dull moment, there is drama, angst, twists, mystery, suspense, some thrilling moments and a wide range of emotions. Derek Masters thank you for this great series.
I listened to the audible edition, Rodney Falcon is a fantastic narrator and voice performer. He continues to bring these characters to live, give them their voices and personality. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he projects the characters emotions and passion into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen🎧
It is with the last words my brain can create for the night that I write this. This series you see I felt a kinship with Hannah having wanted to swear off men and being tired of having being broken after giving myself to a relationship that would only seek to break me further than the last. I have scars and i've shed more tears than I will ever admit in the light of day. While I am still weary of love and fearful of the word itself because it has only meant pain I am not opposed to the possibility it will find me. I know the beauty of the darkness and also how daunting it can be but I also know the beauty that can be found in the light. Reed possesses both within him and he has the ability to bring security and safety in both but without Hannah he couldn't have realized it and there in lies the true beauty of it all and for that I am grateful. The darkness and the light have taught me lessons as have they taught Hannah and Reed lessons that neither could have learned without the other.
Wow. What a conclusion! This book had my heart pumping and I was on the edge of my seat all the way through. This narrator really has a voice that grabs tight and during intense scenes his voice really amplifies them. This book gave me what I wanted from the start: the fight for justice. What happened to Hannah by someone she loved and trusted wasn't right and I love how badass Reed is to fight her. I also loved Hannah trying to go out of her boundaries to make him happy, discovering a side to herself she didn't know existed. And I loved that Reed thought he was saving her the whole time when really she ended up saving his soul. This was a beautifully done trilogy that dark romance fans should obsess over. I want more! I didn't want it to end. I will definitely be checking out more from this author and this narrator.
Broken is the thrilling conclusion to The Owned Series! Mr. Masters Does an excellent job with his ability to bring the story to life and answers all the questions that he leaves you with from the previous two books in the series. Be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat as Reed shows Hannah a different side of himself, one you knew was there but jaw dropping nonetheless. There are a few exciting twists and turns along the way and an ending I didn’t see coming. Broken is an excellent conclusion to a great series and leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend adding this 5-star read to your library today!
Derek Masters most definitely knows how to stir your heart. I was waiting for the conclusion of this series for a long time and although I'm torn, Mr. Masters definitely knows how to create a perfect storyline that in the bittersweet end will leave you wondering. Hannah and Reed's story is an unconventional romance. I love storylines that make you feel, yet take you on an unexpected ride, and that's exactly what Derek Masters did. A broken hero, a heroine that is in search of the truth, and an ending that you wouldn't expect. I can't wait to see what else he has in store for his readers.
Take my heart and rip it to shreds. I don't need it after finishing this series. I am admittedly a cold hearted woman, who doesn't get caught up with emotions reading stories. I ESPECIALLY don't cry, and haven't cried during a book since high school which was 15 years ago. This book WRECKED me, and made me ugly sob, then go through all the steps of grief. This was a wonderful series, and a bittersweet finale. Even though I am still feeling some kind of way about this book, I definitely recommend it, especially if you are looking for a different kind of romance to read
I read all three books and if you are ok with not having a happily ever after its ok. For me I never read books unless I know they end up together. I feel cheated but thats just me. I dont like movies that end this way either. I was shocked at the end and disappointed. Story was good though but if I had any clue it was not the usual romance I would have never ever wasted my time.
All of our questions are finally answered in this last of the trilogy. Hannah experiences the dark sadistic side of Reed that he tried to keep hidden from her. It was quite a shock. Reed does the only thing he can do in the end, for himself and for Hannah. Will they get their HEA? This is a must read series. You will not be disappointed.
A quick and easy read that finished up the Owned Trilogy. It ended differently than I was expecting! So many questions were finally answered and although the ending wasn't what I was expecting, it was a good one. Kudos to Mr. Masters for a job well done!
Read the trilogy. It's short but so good. You won't be disappointed!
It was an ok book series. But that isn't why it has 3 stars. I found it repetitive throughout the 3 books. There was a lot of spelling errors, and extra words. It bothers me because when I'm reading and come across extra words I cant block out the extras lol. But, it was an interesting read. If you can get past those issues, then I would definitely recommend this series.
I was eager to read the final book in The Owned Series. In this book you get the answers you've been waiting for plus some unexpected moments. Definitely a must read!!!
Wow. This was not the ending I was expecting, but I can see why Derek chose this ending. Reed was a Dom and a sadist and Hannah was a submissive but not a masochist. This is a great series and well worth reading. Enjoy
Sweet Jesus!! Love it, I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the twist at the end. I'm hoping our author with a raging heart on will bring at least one of these characters to us in the future. A non stop must read.
Book three in the Owned series Hannah and Reed have both moved forward in there relationship, Hannah knows all of Reeds secrets, justice has prevailed with her duplicitous father and Reed finds he isn’t broken. Thank you Rodney and again your narration was wonderful.
The end of Hannah and Reeds story finally answered some of the lingering questions but the ending was not what I imagined but yet left me the the sense of peace. HEA means so much more when the epilogue is finished. I would recommend the entire series.
While this book wraps up the series with a happily ever after it’s not quite in the way you would expect. Reed has done all that he can for Hannah and with the ultimate show of love lets her go knowing it’s for the best.
OK to start I never saw it coming. I was very pleased with this book. It this whole series was much better than I thought it would be. It had its twists and turns up's and Downs but all in all it was very good. It also had a great ending. Voice Actor Rodney Falcon did a very good job in this book also.
I listened to this via Audible narrated by Rodney Falcon. This is the last book in the owned trilogy. Loved reading Hannah and Reeds story. I must say it was a great ending but not the one I was routing for.
