Being a Goddess isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I never said I was perfect. Far from it. And when I sent them away it proved it. Now my mistakes have caught up with me and I’m wishing I’d done things differently. Rhett, Amos, and Silas are doing everything they can to uncover the mysteries surrounding our attraction and my role in all of this, but it takes time. Time we don’t have with a god hunting me down. Faced with the prospect of losing everyone I love, it’s time for me to step up. I hold the power to balance the universe. I just hope I can work out how to access it before we’re found and destroyed.
This reverse harem novel contains adult themes and language.
A nice addition to this great djinn RH series. Maia is a attempting separate from the guys after the end of book one though things are not working out so well for her with this when she becomes really sick. Amos finds her and the reunion is all kinds of ups and downs. Add in some secrets, attacking bad guys, and some other drama to get a book that moves pretty well leading to the end. Book three should be quite intriguing after this. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
It has been awhile since book 1, Trickster's Hunt; so of course, I had to do a reread, just to refresh my memory because I like this series. A couple of days has passed since the end of book 1, so the question is, did Maia reunite with Amos, Rhett, and Silas? I obviously don't want to give away any spoilers, so you have to read Tricksters' Guard to find out. Tricksters' Guard left off in a cliffhanger and we are left with a few questions such as will Maia be Ma'at? Now, I really want to read book 3, Tricksters' Consort.
If you love paranormal tales, or find reverse harem stories to be yummy then Carrie Whitethorne’s Three Tricksters books are for you. Maia is a wonderful heroine and her relationship with her guys is complex and genuine despite the fantastical context. What really makes this set of books do great is how genuine everything is despite that paranormal / magical context. Added to a story arc of growing complexity and the result is a true winner. That’s certainly the case with Trickster’s Guard (Book 2). Well written and with a great plot (even with a bit of a cliff hanger), this is a “must-read”. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book.
I was waiting fo this book for "forever". Fabulous, spicy, keeps surprising, makes you laugh and worried about the main character. About them all. It's hard to decide which male character you'd like to take on a personal adventure (but why choose!). I literally can't wait for the third book and for more books by Carrie Whitethorne. She's awesome, Maia is awesome and ancient Egypt is awesome. If you're worried that it is heavy in history informations - don't be. It will make you curious, but you'll have to do your own research too as there is much more to it. Overall - I will highly recommend this book as a light pillow or holiday read.
This is single handedly the spiciest book I have ever read. I'm really not used to that kind of book but the storyline was so good I didn't mind. I literally gasped when Maia found Adam, I thought she'd screamed because he was actually there not because he was ripped apart 😂 I love how the story is progressing and explaining more about the Egyptian gods and how Maia fits into it all.

The cliffhanger!!! Thank goodness book 3 is available to read right now. I think I would have cried. Loving this series! The characters are easily loved and the world building is great.
