Alexis Noelle lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with her husband, and kids. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping. She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Alexis believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something. She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
This was just an okay read for us .The story for us was just way to rushed and things happened way to fast.I realize that this book is a book of fiction but, seriously who has a women who was seriously terrorized and repeatedly raped for months by someone who threatens you and the safety of your daughter and then the next day your and old lady of a Biker you just met "seriously?"
The author should have taken the time to develop a relationship here.I could even understand Cain's feelings when meeting Emma that she was the one and destined to be his old lady and a connection to Emma and I could even see Emma feeling as though she could trust a complete stranger and felt safe for the first time in forever and she could unburdened herself with what was happening and spill her story with someone. I can understand that connection. Can you honestly see the rest of it all playing out the next day its to unbelievable me me to wrap my head around.
On the positive note I did like that character's.Cain was sweet kind protective and wanted to make a difference in the lives of Amy and Emma and would do anything to make them safe and we loved that about him.Emma was sweet women and brave and we love the lengths she went to protect her daughter.Amy she was a little girl who could melt anyone frozen heart because we found her to be adorable and "oh," so love-able.
Overall this story for us was just okay for us the whole time reading it the story felt rushed ,rushed ,rushed, and the story could not wait to get to the finish line any sooner and stories like that are not to our liking.
3 stars
Personal Note: I honestly would have given this story two stars if it wasn't for the character's.I don't like leaving negative reviews because I feel as though we can't love them all and that is okay but, I have been reading this author since she started publishing her books and her works in the beginning and we found them to be great and were also heart wrenching and heart felt and she created wonderful characters for us to fall in love with but, somewhere along the way I feel like this author has lost her way because something that used to be in her books is missing and for me I feel that she has lost her passion for writing or maybe I am wrong and its just me.I don't know if others feel similar or not but, after not loving the last several books I have read by her I think it is time for us to move on.When you create a series the stories are suppose to get better and better and even when you have a spin off to that series it should be the same way but,I feel that just the opposite is happening here. These are just my personal thoughts and feelings and in know way do I want you to think I am bashing a author because that is not the case but, I do feel that the author has the right to know how her readers are currently feeling about her books and that you are deciding that its time to part ways and I have lost interest in an ongoing series.
This is a new series that is a spin off from the original Deathstalkers. And was a good start. The only thing I had a problem with, was the fact that the stories are so short. I feel like its a good start, but then everything just gets rushed to finish the book.
Emma is a single mom with a little girl and Amy's father just left. Now she is alone with her daughter and working at a school trying to make ends meat. One night she gets attacked in her own home and he threatens her and her little girl if she doesn't keep her mouth shut, he will come after her and her daughter. Cain is the Sargent at Arms for the Deathstalker MC. He is a force to be reckoned with but he also has a very soft heart. So when he comes home one night and finds Emma hurt and broken in her apartment, all he wants is to take care of. And man does he step up. He vows that she can trust him and he will find the man responsible for hurting her. But Emma is a bit broken after what happened to her. And will he be able to keep his promise of finding her attacker and take care of her and her little girl.... Well isn't that why you have a whole lot of brothers to help you out :-)
Like I said love this stories, but just to short and too rushed at the end. There is lots of action, drama, suspense but also some steamy moments. I just hope the next one will be a bit longer and give the characters and story a bit more time to develop

Emma is a single mom and she loves her daughter Amy more than life itself, she would do anything to keep her safe even if it meant she would be hurt. When an intruder wakes her in the night and threatens her she doe's what he says to keep Amy unharmed.
Cain is Sergeant Of Arms of his M/C and he and his Pres Logan have it running well, they have worked hard to keep it that way.Cain is tired and just wants a night away from the club,he returns home to his apartment only to see a creepy looking man coming from his neighbors apartment and he knows she is quiet and this is really odd for her. Against his better judgement he goe's to Emmas door and hears her crying ,what he find on the other side of the door will change both of their lives forever.
Cain fell into Emmas life when she needed it and she can't believe he wants to help her and Amy. She finds herself drawn to him even though they hardly know each other, but she fells safe with him.
They both feel the connection between them and it keeps growing, only time will tell if they can survive Emmas nightmare.
Cain and Emma have such great chemistry. I was intrigued by this book from the beginning where things started to go wrong and then Cain became her knight in shining armor. I absolutely love the affection he has towards her and her daughter. However, to me, the book skipped ahead a lot and just seemed so fast.
Cain was a great 4 star read and book one in the Deathstalkers 2nd Generation. Once I got started I didn’t want to put it down.
Emma (Amy) is a single mom who finds herself in a terrifying position. Cain is part of the Deathstalkers MC and has an apartment near Amy’s.
One night coming home Cain witnesses something unusual, a man leaving Amy’s apartment all in black and in a mask. He goes into the apartment to find Amy in a ball crying, he does a great job of trying to help her and her daughter. When he learns the truth about what is going on he vows to protect them, so much so that he claims her has his Old lady so the MC will protect her.
I loved Cain, he was such a great guy even though he was tough as well. Amy was great as well, she was very strong. I was anxiously waiting to see who the mystery person was and I have to say I was shocked, totally did not see that coming at all. All of the secondary characters were great, I would love to some of their stories as we move forward with the series.

Well, it seems I am hit or miss with Alexis Noelle as I go back and look at her books. I'm a fan of her Deathstalkers series, however not everyone makes a mark and I'm feeling like that with Cain's story.
Cain is like most of the good MC guys, out to protect his woman no matter what. He was written as a stand-up member of the club and I liked that. The minute Cain realizes that his neighbor, Emma is in trouble, he springs into action to help her.
Emma was written as weak and at one point saying she isn't going to uproot her daughter for a man and the next thing we know, that's exactly what she's doing. I didn't have enough time to connect with Emma's character in so few pages.
The book is well written, but it seems that Alexis Noelle chose a pretty serious storyline for these two, to wrap up in so few pages. It was super rushed which effected the story in a negative way for me.
Really enjoyed Cain it was a good story with interesting characters that had me wanting more I a so can't wait for the next book in the series . This can be read as a standalone I do recommend everything written by Alexis Noelle her stories always know how to make me feel alot . I'm looking forward to reading more books by the author she really draws me into the story and has me wanting to see more future characters .
Cain, the Sergeant at Arms for an MC, and Emma, a quiet single mom, couldn't be more different, but when something seems off to Cain, he doesn't hesitate to check on Emma and her daughter, Amy, only to discover a situation he never anticipated.
Emma has been betrayed, cheated on and abandoned by the father of her daughter, and it took her months just to get on solid foundation financially. Her ability to trust however, is still non-existent. It's only made worse when faced with a lose-lose situation that means sacrificing herself, emotionally, mentally, and physically, to protect her daughter.
Cain loves being a part of the MC, they're his family by choice, but sometimes he needs a break from everything, especially after a run. This is one of those instances, and he decides to head to his apartment instead of staying for the party. Plus, it has the added benefit of helping him avoid the club girls, especially one that has turned quite clingy.
He can't explain the way he feels around Emma and Amy, nor why his feelings developed so quickly. He also knows she's not in a good place right now, almost broken from what she's been forced to endure, but it doesn't change the fact he knows she's meant to be his...and she will be, as soon as he eliminates the threat to her. He just has to hope she can handle what being with him will mean.
Can Cain keep Emma safe? What happens when she disobeys the orders she was given? Will the bad guy go after Amy instead? Who is doing this and why? Will the relationship between Cain and Emma survive?
One-click now and follow along as two people, acquaintances at best, become so much more when Cain helps her heal. On a side note, while I enjoyed the premise of the book, I could have done without one thing. When we meet Cain, he's stopped by a club girl, one he's obviously been with numerous times. Thankfully, he turns her down, but I would like to know the last time he was with her or any of the others. I hate that it's unclear if he was with any other woman after meeting the heroine. This bothered me and lessened my enjoyment some as the question hangs for the entire book. I did like how Cain immediately stepped in to help Emma and immediately fell for her and Amy.

Ok, this is a brand new MC series from this author and it is the next generation from The Deathstalkers. I loved it. It's fast-paced at that same time so suspenseful you will be kept on the edge of your seat. At the same time, you get laughs and get to meet some more littles. Hold on to your kindle and brace yourself becaue it gets bumpy. I should also let you know that it is an instant love book.
Emma is a single mom to Amelia “Amy to her friends” that has let down by Amy's father. He has been gone a bot and she has to learn how to survive on her own since at the time she was a stay at home mom.
Cain is the Sargent At Arms for the Deathstalkers. He's the muscle. He has such an amazing heart. He falls deep and quick. The MC is his brothers and he is a long term. Its what he knows.
These two are good together and the bond he forms with both Emma and Amy is instant. He wasn't to be what he needs to be to keep her safe. I liked the bond and the male figure he was for Amy. He was good with her. I love reading about a man and his little girl, whether born to him or he finds her later. He finds an unknown man leaving her place and he goes in and finds her. She is a mess and he takes charge. Things as I said, unfold rather quickly. The who what where and why for me was shocking. I never saw that coming. I thought something totally different. I wanted more closure for what I thought it was.
I got to read about members from the Deathstalker series. About Whip and how he got his road name. Made me laugh.
There were just a couple things at the back of my mind that I feel would never happen. I don't want to get into it but when you read it you will know. It isn't realistic. I know this is a fiction and not real but it was inaccurate to me. Even with the ending and the climax I still want to read the rest of this series and look forward to more.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
If you have read Alexis Noelles' books in the past then you have read the Deathstalker MC books. I was so sad to see that series end, but now we have the second generation of the Deathstalker to enjoy. This is the story of Cain and Emma. Emma is a single mother who like most of us mothers would do anything and everything to protect her daughter, Amy. When Emma is faced with a stranger breaking into her house and waking her in the middle of the night and threatens her, she of course does what he says to keep her daughter save. At the exact time the intruder is leaving Emma's apartment Cain is coming home from the club. He is now the Sergeant of Arms for the MC and has been working his butt off so he is excited to get to spend a night away from the MC. When he sees the stranger leaving Emma's apartment, he knows that his quiet neighbor would not have someone leaving her apartment in the middle of the night. Trusting his gut he goes over to her apartment hearing crying he enters and sees what will no doubt changed his life, both of theirs actually. This is the beginning of their story and it is one that will keep you reading as fast as you can. I devoured this book. This is not a slow moving love story, it is speedy and I really loved the speed of how everything happened between these two. This is a must read. I am hooked once again on another Alexis Noelle Series. I can't wait to read the next book!!!
Cain is the first book of the Death stalker’s 2nd generation series. This story is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. From page one of this story my heart ached for Emma. She was a single mother that had just got her life on track. She had a job, a home and food on the table for her little girl. When someone enters her life, she finds herself living in fear. In order to protect her child, she had to go through something horrific more than once. Cain is the sergeant at arms of the death stalker MC. He wasn’t looking for love. He had seen his neighbour and her little girl around but didn’t really know her. That all changed in an instant. He soon became Emma and Amy’s protector. The chemistry between Cain and Emma was clear to see. I loved that Emma instantly accepted Cain. Despite what she had been through, she let Cain in. She trusted him with her protection and with her little girl. The danger in this story had me on the edge of my seat. I was gripped throughout. I really liked the ending/epilogue of this story. I liked that Cain was so caring and he and Emma accepted Lily instantly. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an action packed read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Cain (Deathstalker MC 2nd Generation Book 1) by Alexis Noelle. I was so excited when I heard about this book and that this author was writing again, I couldn't wait to read this book. I have read the original books about the Deathstalker MC. I loved the stories and the way the author told her stories. I was not disappointed. Cain is the Sargent at arms of the MC. He lives the life and has no intentions of getting an old lady. One day, when he goes to his apartment in town, he sees a suspicious character coming from his neighbor's apartment. He is curious, and when he goes inside, what he sees makes his blood run cold. Emma is a stuggling single mother after her baby daddy left her and her daughter. For some strange reason, she has found herself in a dangerous predicament. When she sees her neighbor come into her apartment. She doesn't know what to think or do. Cain feels something and has decided to take her and her daughter under his protection. In order to get the club involved, he has to claim Emma. This was definitely not on his bingo card. However, he knows he can't turn his back on Emma and her daughter. This story had me hooked from the very beginning. And what I thought I knew was further from the truth. Oh, so good! Cain was everything. I am so looking forward to the next book, and I truly hope this author is back to stay. 4 stars for me.
Cain finds his neighbour, Emma, on one of the worst days of her life and takes it upon himself to take care of her and her sweet little daughter Amy. It really doesn't take long for the pair to develop feelings for each other, and Cain tries to help her through what happened, all while he and his brothers try to figure out who is after her.
This is the first in the Deathstalkers next gen series and while I couldn't really remember who was who from the original series, it really didn't matter at all as this read like a completely new series all of its own. Yes, Cain's parents did make an appearance, but they were not integral to the story at all.
As for Cain and Emma, I really liked these two but IMO I felt things moved way too fast between them, especially after what happened. This is a short book and has to fit quite a lot into it, but I think I would have preferred for the relationship to move a bit slower. I get it though, sometimes you meet someone and you just know they're for you, so while that point was a bit off for me, I did enjoy this and am looking forward to seeing which other "kids" are going to get a book. I give Cain 4 stars.
Suspense, romance, MC take charge action… this book has it all. The author has given us a great storyline with some strong alpha characters, even if the heroine of the story doesn’t realize how very strong she is at the start. This is a 2nd generation MC series and trust me this younger generation is handling things their way, with their elders guidance of course.
Cain is the Sergeant of Arms for the Death Stalkers MC. Having grown up in the MC, he believes in the brotherhood and protecting what’s theirs. But Cain takes it a little further he sees his neighbor, Emma, in trouble. He takes one look at her and knows he has to step in and help. As for Emma, she is living a nightmare. Fearing for herself and her young daughter, Amy, she is afraid to accept Cain’s help. But Cain isn’t taking no for an answer. Something inside him is driving Cain to want fix things for Emma and Amy.
I don’t do spoilers so I’ll simply say this is a very exciting, suspenseful MC Romance that I highly recommend. It may have a bit of a trigger for some, but the book is superbly written so I honestly don’t see it being an issue; in my very humble opinion that is. This reader is anxiously awaiting book 2 of the series and gives book 1: 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars.
I absolutely love reading about the grown-up kids of MCs and when authors devote a whole series to them I am just giddy. That is what this author did and she did it to perfection! I was devastated to see the original Deathstalkers MC series end but when I found out she was writing a new series with the kids from the original Deathstalkers I was all over this!! I devoured this book in one sitting. Single mom Emma and her daughter Amelia (only my friends call me Amy) have had a rough go of it ever since Amy’s dad walked out on them. Emma meets Cain, the SAA of the Deathstalkers MC, at her lowest point. He throws her a lifeline and she snatches it. Cain knew that Emma and her daughter were meant for him, he just has to convince Emma of that. With Emma and Amy’s life being threatened Cain will do absolutely anything to protect them only finding out who is stalking them is harder than he first realized. There were so many twists and turns in this book it kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to read more and more to find out what was going on. I can’t wait for the continuation of the series! I highly recommend this book!
One page in and you're hooked! This book is exciting and intriguing with a little mystery to solve. It also involves a very sensitive scene that may be a trigger for some, but it was written so very well that I feel that it shouldn't be too much of a problem, if any. After the third time, enter our hero of the story, Cain. He's large, he's handsome and he is taking charge of Emma and her little daughter Amy. Emma needs help but has been threatened to keep quiet. Cain puts Emma at ease and soon she is telling him everything, and that is all he need to hear to know he has to do something to protect her and her little girl. He's never been one to want a relationship much less an old lady, but there is a pull between him and Emma, one that he doesn't understand but can't deny. Throw little Amy into the mix and he's cooked!
This is an insta-like-love story with an intense beginning and an exciting middle tied up with an aaawwwww ending. I loved this book and was really sorry to have it end.
Great, quick read and I highly recommend this book as well as this series!
I NEVER do this but I am giving this a one star. I HAVE NOT READ IT. I did simply because I wanted folks to know that if you are a Nook device reader that if you order Cain you are going to get her first book Corrupted and not Cain. Corrupted is about Jordan and Lucy. Cain is supposed to be about Cain and Emma. This is the second time this has happened to me with this author and this series. I ordered Havoc which was supposed to be Rock and Chrissy's story and BAM I get Corrupted again. I realize this is probably a publishing problem and is out of the authors hands but this was the quickest way to let the Nook readers know that you will not get Cain if you order it through B & N. I have contacted Barnes and Noble and I have emailed the author. Both times I have been given a refund for the books but it's a pain to have to call and explain to get your money back. Once I can overlook as a fluke but twice with the same author.....just thought you should know.
3.5-4 stars for this story. I did enjoy it but it felt rushed and I think it could have had more to it. Having said that I always enjoy the second generation books. back in the day it felt weird to read about the "kids" being grown ups but when it is written the right way I totally enjoy it.
Cain is just trying to go home and mind his own business BUT it isn't in his nature to avoid trouble so when he senses it , he heads straight for it , his life will never be the same after Emma and Amy. Emma is trying to live life being the best mom she can. Her job lands her in the sights of someone and to see the pain he inflicts on her is horrible. The suspense about the who , what and why kept me hanging on the edge. Although there is some close calls and some heartache the story ties together nicely and lives are changed for the better. Looking forward to see what comes next and hopefully we can get a bit more depth. And keep tabs on Cain and Emma.
This one is a good read. It's the next generation of Deathstalkers MC series. You don't have to read the original Deathstalkers MC series to enjoy this one. Emma is a single mom. She's a good mom. This one had a really interesting story line. Emma had an intruder that comes in a night. This isn't a story where the stalker/intruder is really to good guy. Cain is the Sargent At Arms for the Deathstalkers and has an apartment in Emma's building. One night he finds her upset and crying. Cain has a protective side and feels the need to take care off and protect Emma and her daughter. Emma and Cain have an instant connection and things move fast for them. I can't wait to see which guy gets a book next.
He should just stay out of it. It wasn't club business and as SAA it was his duty to take care of business. Still, it didn't look right. That time of night, a black hoodie, maybe a mask? She lived with her little daughter, he'd just make sure they were alright.
What Cain found was the furthermost thing from--One look into those broken eyes was all it took. He was going to find out what happened. Who did it. And kill him.
Emma was a good mom. A good teacher. She was independent and lived a good happy life...until... When Cain found her she was far from her normal self. Why would he help her? Why would he protect her? Could she trust a man she didn't know?
A touching story of the worst and the best of men. Of a family made up of loyalty and trust if not blood. The characters range from the best, the hottest, strongest, and protective to the evil, worst in life. Would she be able to get past the evil to the best? Could she trust her daughter in MC life? She had a lot to learn and a lot to process.
The characters in this first book of the series make the reader anxious for the next while enjoying the first one that is complete as is.
This is the first book in this new series from Alexis and its a fabulous start to it. My only criticism i have is that the book wasn't longer as I was so invested in Cain's story I would have loved to read more. This story is well written and well paced. You will not want to put it down once you start and you will be left wanting more of the Deathstalkers 2nd Generation
Soon as you meet Cain you swoon, he is the typical hot AF, over protective Alpha Male. He trusts his instincts and goes straight into protection mode when he sees a strange guy coming out of Emma's apartment. Soon as he meets her he knows straight away shes the won for him.
Not only did Cain win my heart but so did Emma's little girl Amelia, she is totally cute and watching this tough guy get wrapped her little fingers is ssssooooo cute.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Enticing Journey Book Promotions
The story has laughs, love, suspense, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Emma and Cain’s story. Emma is struggling raising her daughter after her daughter’s father left them. She needs help and when Cain offers that help, she jumps at it. Cain is trying to figure out who is stalking them but also trying to get her to believe in him at the same time. He knows he wants them to be his forever he just has to get her safe. Can he keep them both safe? What happens with the danger surrounding them?
I felt I could connect with the characters. This is a short book so in the end it felt a little rushed but still ended up being a good story.
Cain by Alexis Noelle is book one in her new Deathstalkers 2nd Generation spin-off series and is a novella, a quick read. Emma is a single mom who's living a nightmare, sorry no spoilers here. Cain is the Sergeant at Arms of the Deathstalkers MC and he loves his MC life. When he discovers what happens to Emma he can't not step in and help her. Cain is a fast paced nailbiting read with just the right amount of drama and danger to keep me on the edge of my seat. I greatly enjoyed reading this MC story and give 4,75 stars.
Cain was a great read. Very MC, very romantic and everything I like in a story. However, it felt very fast paced and rushed. I am not an author, but I feel as though if Alexis Noelle slowed down a bit, she would have been able to give us more depth into the relationship between Cain and Emma; and make the story more believable. There also wasn’t an epilogue, which I so desperately missed. It ended abruptly for my taste and I just hoped for more. This is the first book in Deathstalkers, the second generation, so I look forward to seeing how the series progresses.
This is the first book in a new series, and is Cain and Emma’s story. Cain is the Sergeant-at arms in his club, and Emma is his next door neighbour. When he arrives home from the club one night he sees a shady guy coming out of his neighbours, and he can hear her crying. From the moment of meeting he will do anything to protect Emma and his little girl, and keep them both safe. This is a well written story which has me hooked and intrigued throughout, and I cannot wait to read more in this series, and recommend for all MC lovers.
This is the first book of the next generation of the Deathstalkers MC. This is Cain and Emma's story. It is a stand alone, so if you haven't read the original series, you'll be okay.
I feel like it was really rushed. I don't really know much about the characters.
Dont get me wrong, I liked them. I just wasn't able to connect or get to know them as well as I like to while reading.
There were some things that were off as well. Amy was put in a trunk, but yet they were in a truck. How?
Cain is the first book in the in the Deathstalkers MC’s second generation. I love the original Deathstalkers series, so of course I was ecstatic when I saw the new generation coming. I enjoy Ms. Noelle’s writing; it always engages me. This book moved quickly, and I don’t usually love that, but a quick read can be nice sometimes. I would have however liked to be reminded who each kids parent are. There were a lot of names mentioned but I couldn’t remember who their parents were. Maybe an outline in the beginning of the book? 4 stars.
I ordered a book called vain and got the first book with Jordan I already have that one what happened with vain? Didn't want to give it any stars because it wasn't what I ordered
While this was a really good book, it is one that I have perky read and not the book Cain that I ordered. This was about Jordan and Lucy which is like the first book in the previous series.
This is a new author to me, but I did enjoy the book. While I do think things developed fast, the chemistry between Cain and Emma was obvious. Some times in life, things just happen fast, and this book shows one of those times. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
