A bakehouse in the making. A dangerous ghost in the tower. Will their welcome to the neighborhood be short-lived?

Imogen wants nothing more than to complete her sweet dream. With her adoring fiancé Hank at her side, the witch and her friends dive into renovations for their new home and soon-to-be bakery. But all their efforts seem futile when they wake to find the house eerily ripped apart all over again…

As Imogen examines her humble abode's shady history, she discovers evidence for a malevolent spirit living inside. But with less-than-welcoming neighbors keeping a close, suspicious watch, she wonders if it’s not the dead but the living who pose the biggest threat…

Will Imogen root out the culprit, or will her culinary future collapse under the weight of an unsolved murder?

I still find it difficult to believe Erin Johnson has already published nine books in this series over an eighteen-month period. What's even more surprising is how amazing the entire set of stories have been to date. It's rare an author can keep your interest for such a lengthy period of time, but Johnson has definitely accomplished that task with the Spells & Caramels Cozy Witch Mysteries. Today, I'm reviewing the ninth one--Eclairs, Scares & Haunted Home Repairs--for a blog tour with Great Escapes Virtual Book Tours.

If you've never read the series, here's what you need to know: Imogen is an American baker who accidentally causes a fire and is visited by someone telling her she's a witch. From that point on, she's magically whisked away to a foreign land where her entire world changes. Over each book, she learns more about her magical relatives, the different types of kingdoms, and the trouble brewing for the future. After leaving her fiance's kingdom mid-series, Imogen and her friends begin remodeling a house only to find out it's haunted. A dead body in the form of a ghost appears, and neighbors don't want her to renovate. Who killed the guy years ago? What does a kooky witch in the woods really want from Imogen? When will they get back home?

All these questions are answered in this story because there is only one more left to close the chapter on an amazing series of books. Although it might be a disappointment to see it end, I'm confident the author will pen another brilliant series. If you've not read any of these books, please read them in order. It will be worth it. I love the cross between fantasy and realism, magic and reality, mystery and romance. There is a bit of everything with lots to enjoy. Congrats on another successful book!

Updated : I have just listened to the audiobook for this.
It's been a while since I read this book, and I had forgotten how much I love this series and These characters.
I love the humor and wit and found the whole series so imaginative ans unique.
As always the narration is absolutely brilliant.

This is a brilliant series, there is always something new and exciting in each book. This one was filled with surprises, twists and turns and a good dose of humour. The characters couldn't be any more loveable, and I look forward to the next book.

I have not read the full series, but am working my way through the ones I have missed. This is a fun series best read in order. The quick backstory is that Imogen is an American baker who finds out that she's a witch. She enters a baking contest in a magical and foreign land and her life as she knows it will never be the same. She has a brother with pretty amazing powers that she knew nothing about. She falls in love with a prince who is banished from his kingdom. Throughout the books we learn about different kingdoms and magical lands, various creatures, types of magical powers and they solve a mystery or two along the way. In this story, Imogen, Hank and the rest of their little group of friends have been given a house to repair and use as their home and bakery. The only problem is that is seems to be haunted by the owner who disappeared ten years earlier in a typhoon. A ghost or spirit appears to them a few times and some other townspeople don't want the house to be renovated, especially to be opened as a bakery. Who killed Daichi, the owner of the house and famous prosecutor? Is the house haunted or cursed?

I am really enjoying this series. The characters are all very unique with different skills and powers. This group of friends have been through some difficult situations and they should have known that renovating this home would not go smoothly. The ravens and the brambles should have been a tip off. Imogen is wonderful. She will do anything for her friends even when it endangers her. She does sometimes leap before thinking, but Hank and her other friends are all there to help. It is nice that Imogen is getting to know her brother, Horace, in fact it seems like he is trusting her more. I can't forget Iggy. He is the humour in the story. With his sarcasm and witty comments that come fast and furious, you've just got to love him. Erin Johnson has an engaging writing style which draws the reader into the story quickly. I enjoy her descriptions of the homes, forest, creatures and even the baked treats. They are so vivid, that I can easily picture them as I read. The mystery in this book was interesting and somewhat unique, but I will say that I figured out what was going on pretty quickly as far as the mystery goes. That did not diminish my enjoyment of the story though. The ending, was very tense and unexpected. This is a great series with some fantasy, magic, mystery. friendship, family drama and romance all in one, this is a book for everyone to enjoy. I received a copy of this book to read upon my request. The rating, ideas and opinions stated are my own.

I am always happy to be back in this world for another adventure with Imogen and her friends. And despite some issues I have with the stories, they are just so fun and I always enjoy reading them. And I love Iggy. I really like these characters and the mysteries and the fun atmosphere these books have with a tinge of magic.

In this book the characters have bought a house, but something is not right. Strange things are happening and they have to figure out what's going on. What happened in the house? Why did the previous owners left? What's the whole story? Is the house haunted? What is causing all these strange phenomena? There is a lot to figure out. The story started off a bit slow at first in my opinion, but that's mostly because their progress gets undone every time and that was just frustrating to read about and I didn't get why they wouldn't first figure out what's going on before putting more time and money (not sure how they can afford all these repairs anyway) in it.

Slowly the pieces of the puzzle start to come together, what's going on with the house and more information about the previous owners comes to light. There is a great twist toward the end and I liked the way all those little hints we got throughout the story fall on their place. I really liked that reveal. I did however found it strange that in a magical community no one ever thought of the thing that what was causing part of the troubles. And for a group of witches they also seemed awfully afraid of ghosts. But even with those issues, I thought it was an entertaining story and it kept my attention. The addition of the crows/ ravens also was interesting and while their change was a bit fast it was clear the author did her research about these animals.

The whole series follows this tight group of characters that grows with each book, they seem to pick up new friends everywhere. But it's easy to remember who is who and every character has their place and their own personality. There is some relationship drama for the side characters. There are some some new characters and familiar ones that play a role in the story. And it's just so fun to watch these characters all interact with each other.

I am still not sure what to think of the ending. This is exactly what I wanted to see happen in book 7, but now we're 3 books further and that plot line is obviously forgotten. They have made their home here and settled and it's clear the series just took a different direction after book 6. But now suddenly part of that forgotten plot line pop up again and I am not sure whether to be interested or not. Mostly I just think the book could've ended here with book 8 or the story should've continued with the main plot earlier. I am not sure, I feel conflicted about the whole thing. And I really didn't like how Hank and Imogen went along with someone else their plans. It just rubbed me wrong as this is about them, not others. Ah well we'll see what I think of book 10.

I like how the author incorporated the magic and paranormal world in this series, but there also seems to be some inconsistencies here and there. There are some things I would've expected a magical community to treat differently and someone could've used a spell for a certain something and didn't and we even know that exact spell exists. Sometimes I still have a hard time figuring out how everything works. We suddenly find out there's such a thing as necromancer, but is this just a different type of witch or what? It doesn't really gets explained and explored as much as I like, but at the same time the whole series is just so fun to read. And I do like all those little touches about how magic comes in handy in their daily life, all those little hints are a lot of fun.

To summarize: iIhad a lot of fun reading this book. There is just something so fun about this series. I like the tight group of characters we follow in this series and the mysteries and adventures they land in the middle of. I do have some issues with things that happen in the book, but even so I enjoyed reading this book. The mystery is quite interesting in this one and I liked the reveal at the end and how everything suddenly fell on it's place. The start did feel a bit slow as they don't make much progress on the house. There also was something related to the house which seemed like a magical community should've been able to discover much earlier. And everyone is surprisingly afraid of ghosts. There are some minor things that didn't quite make sense or aren't explained as well as I would've liked. The overall story is awesome tough and it's fun to read. I like the characters and reading about them. I am still not sure what to think of the ending, this is an event I wanted 3 books ago, not now and now it just feels like it doesn't fit with the change of tone form the last few books. We'll see what I think of it in book 10. Which is the last book in the series, it will be sad to say goodbye to these characters.

Eclairs, Scares and Haunted Home Repairs by Erin Johnson has readers traveling back to Kusuri in the month of June. Imogen Banks and her friends have recently received a home from the town council. The group is checking out the house to see what repairs they need to make. It will not only be their home, but their new bakery as well. The house is in a state of disrepair and no one has lived in it for the last ten years. Imogen and Iggy are exploring the tower room when they see a semi-translucent man with a rope around his neck hanging from the rafters. The image disappears before the others can arrive in response to the screaming. Ms. Tomoko, of the council, believes the twins who have a bakery in town are behind the antic and promises to have a word with them. The group begins working on the home by repairing the large holes in the roof. They arrive the next day to find all their hard work has been undone plus someone has written threatening messages in red. Imogen decides to dig into the houses history and is surprised by what she learns. No matter what they do to the house, it continues to fall apart. The bakers decide to consult the local necromancer to see if she can aid them. Imogen is unsure if someone living or dead is the culprit, but she intends to get answers.

Eclairs, Scares and Haunted Home Repairs is the ninth book in the Spells & Caramels series. You do need to read the books in order as they build upon each other. The Spells & Caramels has great characters that are friendly, warm and magical. This group of bakers have been through some difficult situations and they are looking forward to settling down in their own home and bakery. They should have known that it would not go smoothly. Erin Johnson has a casual, engaging writing style which I enjoy. I find myself immediately drawn into the story with its unique world. The story has steady pacing with vivid descriptions of the characters, the baker’s new abode, the forest filled with unusual monsters, and their magic. Our bakers are finding mates, but they still maintain their close friendship. I have enjoyed watching them grow closer and become a family. It is nice that Imogen is getting to know her brother, Horace. He can still be exasperating and vague with his answers. Horace is working on a new project and I hope he is successful. My favorite character is Iggy, the magical flame. I just love his witty and often sarcastic comments. They add just the right touch. I think it would be delightful if the author gave us a novella telling a story from Iggy’s perspective. I believe it would be highly entertaining and humorous. The mystery was intriguing with its various twists and turns. The necromancer was a unique character. I would not want to venture into her lair. The ending will delight fans of the series (I do not want to spoil it for you). I am eager for the next Spells & Caramels novel. I will be sad to see this charming series come to an end. Join Imogen, Iggy, Hank and their friends on their latest adventure in Eclairs, Scares and Haunted Home Repairs.

Laugh out loud funny!
In this installment of the Spells & Caramel series, we see how the characters try to fix up a house so they can move and have their own space, as well as a bakery.
The renovation starts with all hands on deck until weird stuff start happening, and the crew start to believe that the house is haunted.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

What a fun addition to this adorable series. Imogen and friends are trying to make themselves a home in the island with the house they were given. The problem is that it comes with a load of problems as well as a decade old mystery. Wonderful world building really brings the story to life. Multiple things going on moves the story along as each new tidbit is revealed. That ending was really a surprise. An entertaining read for fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Well they are finally going home. Instead off having a small wedding they need to have a large wedding. I loved the house and the mystery behind it. The witch was cool, a little darker then most of the characters in the book but it was still good. I'm going to be so sad when I read the final book. is it bad if I'm loving Horace too. That character has really been turned around.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Will Imogen and her friends figure out why their house is haunted?
Eclairs, Scares and Haunted Home Repairs by Erin Johnson reminds me of one of the home improvements shows on HGTV. Well if the houses kept on undoing the changes that they were doing. Each time I read one of these books by Ms. Johnson I feel as though I am hanging out with my friend. Then when I am finished, I end up missing the characters and story.
What I like:

Imogen in this one is even more sassy and funny than before. I enjoyed seeing that part of her especially when she had to deal with the house issues.
The way Hank wants to make sure that everyone is on board with the house whenever something comes up that he didn’t expect to happen.
The way Horace just comes in to check up on them.
I love the mystery in this one since it was so unexcepted but so cool at the same time.
Iggy was terrific in the way that he let his comments slide out and some other parts that I can’t say.

What I don’t like:
I didn’t like the way that no one was giving them straight answers regarding things that were happening. Another thing that I didn’t like was Madam Shi she's a scary person. That walkway to her house and the poor taxidermied animals were freaky.
What I’m curious about:
I am interested to see if Imogen and her friends will return to the Badlands Island or stay in their home country again? I kind of want them to return to the Badlands as they seemed happy there.
Five Star
Eclairs, Scares and Haunted Home Repairs by Erin Johnson was a great book, and I can’t wait for more. I am a little sad that Ms. Johnson will be wrapping up the series in the next book. I am giving this book a five-star rating as it was an awesome read.

A special note: The first book in the series Seashells, Spells and Caramels is available on Audible now. Ms. Johnson's sister reads the story, and I hear she is brilliant. So, check it out, HERE.

Anyways until the next time enjoy this review brought to you by,

4.5/5 stars

I’ve mentioned in reviews before that one of the beauties of this series is that it more or less forms a continuous arc. Each book delivers a complete mystery with all pertinent questions resolved; and ties up at least one loose end from previous stories but I imagine the big finale and the answers to any outstanding questions await us in Book 10.

Mystery: Is the new house really haunted? And if it is, is it by the ghost of the missing and presumed dead Daichi?

The clues are well-laid out and fun to piece together. There are several suspects, all with compelling motives and adequate opportunity. The red herrings are well-placed and the pacing of the story is good. I was able to figure out the culprit before then end but there were still questions I got answered during the big reveal.

Just a reminder that this is a series best read in order as while the mystery is complete and contained in this novel, the greatest enjoyment comes from piecing bits together for the overall series arc.

The characters are just as wonderfully zany and endearing as ever. Annie finding a ‘love interest’ was just one of the cutest set of scenes. The friendship that binds this group is as strong as ever and a delight to read. Work on the house and their plans for it are pretty cool. I wonder how that will play out…?

The real growth in here is how everyone’s relationship with Horace evolves. They’re still weary of him but willing to give him a second or maybe even third chance!

Horace is probably one of my favourite cozy characters as he’s neither all good nor really all that bad. I’m interested to see what eventually comes of him.

Old friends reunite and new ones seal their bonds. I can’t wait for the ultimate unfolding of this imaginative and intriguing series.

I can't believe this is the 9th book in the series. I've read just about all of them and I have to say, I've loved every one.

As I've said before, though you can read these books as standalone novels it is best to read this series in order so things make more sense. This series really is one continuous story.

In this book Hank and Imogen have a new house to renovate only its more than a little bit haunted and it also seems like there's someone or something that doesn't want them there. There's also a matter of an unsolved murder that ties in with the house.

In some books all the subplots and other goings on could make things complicated, but not here. I especially enjoyed the owners of the diner who happened to be original owners of the house Hank and Imogen are trying to renovate, emphasis on the word trying, as every time they do something, it is undone the next day and vandalized to boot. Then there is the background on the house and its "haunting."

This was probably the best book in the series so far. It is definitely full of action and some nail biting moments for everyone.

I can't believe that there is only one more book to go in this series, because I've really become quite attached to these characters. They feel like family.

I can't wait to read the next book even if it means saying goodbye to old friends.

This is such a fun series that I was thrilled to be able to read the newest installment.  Imogen is a refreshing character and a bit crazy too.  I love how she injects the human world into her situations and interactions with those from the magical realm.  I noticed in this book there seemed to be more movie references.which was amusing and had me trying to guess the movie from the clues and lines.  I don't think I guessed many of them!

Imogen, Hank, and the gang have been given a home that is haunted but they don't know that until they start working on the home to repair it and bring it up to snuff for their new bakery and school.  Imagine their surprise when the house seems to implode on itself and undoes all of their hard work.  This sets them off on their latest adventure to determine who is trying to keep them out of the house and why.  The answer might surprise you.

I enjoy how the author finds a love interest for most of the characters.  It is fun to watch these new romances develop.  There is humor in the story and Iggy has the worst (or best!) timing when making his comments.  Iggy certainly doesn't know how to curb his tongue and almost gets the gang in trouble with his comments.  But it is all in a days work for Imogen, Hank, and the gang.  We do see a little bit more of Horace and I'm wondering if perhaps he will be around more for Imogen (since he is her brother) and knowing that the Kingdom he fought to bring down might welcome him now that things have changed.

Overall I really enjoy this series and I do suggest starting at the beginning to follow the personal relationships of the various characters.

We give it 5 paws up!

Imogen and the gang are still in the Badlands town of Kusuri. Hank surprises Imogen and the bakers with a house for them to turn into a home/bakery/baking school. It turns out the house is haunted, but Imogen is on the case. I loved getting to know more about the town of Kusuri and it's people. This was another fun quirky story. I loved the ghost story aspect. I am disappointed Imogen and Hank didn't get married. I really disliked Amelia, and her return in this book; I hated the way she barged in and objected to the marriage, and scoffed at how happy they were with their simple ceremony and reception. Why would she ask them to wait to get married back in Bijou Mer? Why not have a small intimate ceremony on the island, in Kusuri their new home, then go back to Bijou Mer. I can't wait to read whats in store for the gang back in Bijou Mer. I hope Imogen and Hank get the wedding they want and their final HEA. I recieved an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This one had me chanting yes! Until the end. Imogen was robbed. Even though I have never been on team instalove Hank, she was finally getting some great things. This book has a great mystery, I loved the play out of the killer, and all the high-jinks leading up to it. But now, ugh. I so so so hope the next book doesn't disappoint by making them live happily ever after in the wrong community. Overall this is the best one yet, I say that with each read, but seriously, I was sad/mad/joyous, all throughout the book. I love these characters, and their crazy quirks. Once this series wraps up it would be fun to explore, books from other characters point of views. Especially Horace!

Haunted Money Pit

Imogene and her friend adapt to life on the island, cut off from the mainland, trying to fix a house that falls apart each night. Their story continues with an interesting twist at the end. I really enjoy this series. I would recommend reading them in order. Enjoy!

Erin Johnson delivers yet another fun, witty witch mystery in this Spells & Caramels book 9, bringing our beloved characters one step closer to a truly happy ending!

Stuck in the badlands for good, our baking friends decide to make the best of their situation and start renovating an old haunted house to turn into their home/bakery/baking school. Unfortunately after seeing a ghost and their repairs being vandalized and destroyed night after night. Imogen and friends are forced to unravel the mystery behind the vandalism or admit defeat. Is it really a ghost or is someone plotting against them?

Horace is as evasive as ever, and Iggy steals every scene with his cackling and ill timed jokes. Hank is still swoon worthy and I love how protective he is over Imogen and all his friends. The twists and turns of this book had me on the edge of my seat by the end and now I can't wait for book 10!

Oh Wow, I just love this series!!! And each book just gets better and better. I use to think it was the great characters that made it so enjoyable and don't get my wrong because there are still great but with this book you get a mystery, action, ghosts, witches, monster attacks, even romance everything you need to make a great story and all of it woven in a solid plot with good humorous dialog. Each book is very different from the last and you are never sure In which direction the author will take the story next, other than it will contain magic, a mystery and be highly entertaining and one I series that I can't recommend enough. I just can't get enough of this series and am eagerly awaiting the next book.
Hank has brought him and the rest of the bakers a house to live in and to turn into a bakery, the only problem is the house is haunted so nobody has lived in it for years. And the way it is going nobody might now, by morning all there hard work cleaning the place up is undone and graffiti sprayed everywhere telling them to get out. But is it really the work of a ghost? There protection spells have no effect on the house and with its checked past it might just take a bit more than wand waving. The gang turn to a necromancer for help but even the strange little old lady has a past with the spooky house. Will they every be able to live in there new house and with the crow's anger with them do they really want to? The only way forward is to look into the past and find out what really happened on the night the storm arrived and a monster attacked the train.
I really like the narrator, she is so lively and full of excitement when she reads this books that you can't help but feel that excitement along with her and she pulls you into the story with her and the monster sound effects help too.

Who wants to live in a haunted house?! Imogen and crew, that's who! Okay... not exactly. But Hank wanted a place they could all live together and the Kusuri council decided to gift them a house. The most haunted, dilapidated house in town. They they get to work, hope high. Day one of renovations and Imogen and Iggy get the scariest welcome ever. And it only goes downhill from there. Rumors of the ghost being the reason the house is in such disrepair have been rampant for 10 years. Since the homes last owner disappeared and was assumed dead by everyone. So, between rumors of ghosts, necromancers who love to taxidermy, people in town who don't want a rival bakery and more secrets than anyone has a right to keep, there is action in this book. I love that it's totally believable and I can see it being real. Even the magic, curses, vampires, and befriending of natures animals. The undercurrent of romance between the characters is just that. An undercurrent. Not too sappy, but not something you're bound to miss as you read either. The story is woven perfectly with mystery, romance, realism and fantasy. My favorite characters are Iggy (of course! Who doesn't love a seriously sarcastic little flame?!) and Horace, who has charisma and badassery seeping from his pores. He is the most real character in the way he acts and reacts. But then, I've always loved a good... villain? ;) The ending leaves you with a taste of what's to come. The storm, I think, is going to be a rough one. I can't wait to see how it ends!

Hank springs a big surprise for his friends in the Badlands by announcing that he has gotten a place where they can live and open a bakery. The only problem is that it has a reputation of being haunted and is in pretty bad shape. The gang decide to fix it up but it seems every day after they’ve fixed it up that it is right back the way it was before! Graffiti also
appears on the walls. Is it vandalism or is there a supernatural force over this house? That’s what our friends decide to find out!

I really liked this latest book in this captivating series and the secrets to this island house which are stymieing our friends in their efforts to repair the house. History is revisited and things get very dangerous for all of them as the investigation comes rushing towards its climax!

I recommend you get the entire box set so you’ll have this collection together to read and reread again and again! I did and it’s so convenient to just turn the page and find the next book just waiting for you!

Erin’s series is one that will make you smile and enjoy reading gain! The characters will quickly become your friends and you will wish you were there in person to live the experiences with them instead of just being able to read about what happens to them!

I have enjoyed this series so much and now I’m going to read the final book in the collection and see if my
questions are finally answered. I hope you’ll get this box series collection like I did and enjoy this wonderful series along with me!

Baker's betrothal

Hank surprises Imogen and the bakery team with a new home, unfortunately it's not entirely what anyone expected and they find it difficult to enthuse about the large, very run down Victorian style house. While Hank had offered to purchase the property the local council gave it to him after he put forward plans to make it into a bakery and school as well as a home.

Rumours abound about it being haunted and the first visit leaves everyone shaken after Imogen and Iggy find the ghost of the previous owner hanging from a beam.

Repairs go slowly as each night the work they have done is reversed and threatening messages are daubed all over the house. A stakeout with a vampire solves part of the mystery but strange things are still happening despite no one else being present. It's not until Imogen finds a mysterious object between the floorboards and nearly dies that they can stop the damage but finding the culprit and solving a ten year old mystery will leave them all at deaths door.

Will Imogen and Hank finally make it to their own happy ever after or will the past finally catch up with them?

This one was one of favorites in the series. The bakers have started to make a home on the island for themselves and were gifted a creepy house. They wanted to renovate it to live in it and start a baking school. Once they started to renovate, creepy things kept happening and they had to solve the mystery. I was surprised at each turn and did not catch on until the last of what really was happening with the home and why. My only sadness is that now they've all seemed to find happiness, they get surprise party crashers and have to go back to their former lives. I didn't understand why they all had to do that. Especially since both Yann and Annie had also found budding romance and they fixed up the house beautifully. Hopefully the last book in the series will give it a fitting closure

Book 9 in this ten book series. Hank and Imogen get started renovating their new old-house. But is it possible that there’s a curse? Or a ghost? Who is undoing all the work they’ve done, and why?

It’s great to be back with the baker crew and their new friends, now located in the Badlands. This book finds them with a big project and a lot of problems. Are they up to these tasks? You’ll need to listen to find out, but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audio book, and I highly recommend it.

I received an Audible code for this book from the author. While I thank her for her generosity, it had not effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

What a delightful penultimate story this is. I will be honest and normally by book nine in a series I am starting to flag, but this one has me hooked, I am almost sad that we only have one book left. Imogen and her bunch of wonderful friends both old and new will make you chuckle and smile so bright, and some will make you belly laugh with joy. One person will have you wondering what they are really up to, but it was the surprise at the end that made me smile so big, once again Sam gets his wonderful moment to shine, and happiness, not in the way I hoped, but I am hopeful that will come. I don’t know why Sam has wormed his way into my heart so much, but he really has, there just really is something sooo ssssspecial about him.

A new home/bakery for the gang is not turning out like they thought it would - a negative force is at work that doesn't want them there.

Reading this book, I realized how much I have enjoyed watching the characters develop and grow throughout their adventures in this series. It will be bittersweet when the next book releases as the author has indicated it will be the last in this series - and it looks like we will end up where we started this fantastical journey - but I will miss Iggy!!!! I'm sure the author has more wonderful stories to tell and I look forward to her future endeavors.

Absolutely stellar!

Oh, my goodness!! Our intrepid bakers from Bijou Mer have been through a lot; this story, however, outpaces everything they have experienced to date. A possible haunted house, a past tragedy, a possible cold case, multiple literally-on-the-cusp-of-death events, multiple love matches, a chance at HEA, a twist this reader could never have predicted...and I had no Jiji to comfort me in my tears like one character had! This is a non-stop thrill ride, and I thank author Erin Johnson for the ticket; I also cannot wait to see what's next for Imogen and the rest of the bakers and Misaki and the Kusuri crew...!
