A pretty fun paranormal romance involving the fae and a badass heroine who destroys predatory men. I'm here for it. Could have been a bit more polished and not everything with the world and magic made sense, but overall pretty good and I had a fun time with this one.

Found is the 3rd book in the Folk trilogy and it was a good ending for this fascinating series. In this installment it was a mystery mixed with a romance for the prince of the Folk with another member of the Folk with supernatural power. Prince Bertilak/Bertie has the weight of the world on his shoulders when members of his community start being violently attacked. Fear of another rebellion in the making, he makes it his mission to find out who and why. When things stall with the search, Eve Winchester is brought into the investigation and used as bait at one point to lure the danger out. Previously, Eve was living in Animas when she discovered that she had supernatural strength and harmed individuals when her family & friends were under attack. Discovering she had these powers, she is training to harness and better control her strength. Eve and Bertie are brought closer together as the work to uncover the truth and danger is close at hand. It was a natural progression for their relationship to change when their safety is on the line and how much they began to care for one another. The development of their romance was the best part of this story and I’m happy for them making it work it out to be together.

Figuring out the mystery is sometime a challenge but with enough breadcrumbs along the way, a reader can deduce who is the enemy and how they can be stopped. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough clues for deducing the culprit and the answer was dropped into my lap. The story crescendo nicely with the danger and intrigue, but could have been handled differently instead of being so abrupt. The romance however come to a nice conclusion and made the story. But with the mystery involved and its abruptness, not to mention a loose end hanging at the end, it left me disappointed. I’ve enjoyed other series by this author and will continue to read her stories, but this one came together a little fast and soon for me.

This is Book 3 of the trilogy, but the first one I've read and I didn't find myself lost at all. I absolutely adored the heroine Eva--I loved her attitude and voice. She has superhuman strength and a penchant for saving the oppressed from their tormentors, albeit with not as much discretion and anonymity as her superiors would like. I really liked Prince Bertie, who's in love with her and in denial. He really cares about what happens to her--more than her liege should. Politically she's all wrong for him--but he doesn't care.

Eva goes undercover in a Barbegazi nightclub to find out who's targeting Folk in the mundane world. And the mayhem begins!

This was a great story, full of wonderful real characters, snarky dialogue, and lots of action. The chemistry between the rebellious Eva and poor Bertie is undeniable, with both humor and pathos in turns and sparks aplenty. It's the perfect culmination of their ongoing story, and makes me itchy to read the other two, to see what led up to this. Kudos to Meg Benjamin for writing a story that was stand-alone enough for a first-time reader to follow, and I will definitely seek out other titles by her in the future!

This book is filled with action, adventure, mystery, suspense, and of course paranormal romance!

This book has an excellent storyline that flows, great writing style with detailed scenes, well-developed characters, is fast paced, and keeps you completely entertained through the last page.

I really liked the main characters, Eva, Prince Bertie, Eva’s best friend and business partner, Marika, Marika’s significant other, Teran, Grim Morrigan, and his wife, Annie. I really enjoyed Eva and Bertie together! I loved their chemistry! I loved how they pushed each other’s buttons and at times drove each other crazy lol! And I loved the way they cared and doted on each other.

I really liked the author’s worldbuilding skills and how she was able to create this storyline that still felt believable. I liked that this book took place in modern day and that the Folk were very similar to the mortals. They listened to the same music, danced, texted on cellphones, and even looked just like mortals. They also weren’t immortal. However, they possessed an array of special skills/powers such as super power strength to being able to freeze your soul to being able to talk to animals, etc. I really liked this author’s version of the fairy world instead of the usual tiny sized, neon colored, winged flying creatures.

I liked that this book setting took place in the Colorado Rocky Mountain area. I used to live in Denver, Colorado, but it was nothing like the lovely picturesque Interlocken village that was ever so beautifully described. The author continues to find just the right words to describe a scene that makes you feel like you are right there and in that moment.

The author’s writing is strong and eloquently detailed. She really provided so much detail in her writing that it was easy to picture! There were a few times I found myself totally caught up in the story!

This book genre is marketed as a paranormal romance and yet the author found a way to throw in an adventure, mystery, intrigue, and suspense element to the book. It definitely added a fascinating extra component to the story!

The only ding I have is that I feel the mystery plot point ending was a bit rushed. I felt there was great mystery and suspense in determining the conspiracy and catching the members of the resistance. However, it felt a bit choppy and hasty with the conclusion. There had been such a build-up and anticipation and then it felt like the ball got dropped and all of a sudden, the mystery was over, and case closed.

With that being said, the romantic plot point ending was superb! I enjoyed seeing Eva and Bertie together and was happy to know that even though this was the final book in the series, their love would continue on.

There are some predictable scenes. However, there are still a few very unexpected twists and turns that you won’t see coming!

I really liked that at the end of this book was a list of all the characters names, their role in the book, and when they were introduced into the book series. This addition provided readers the opportunity for better understanding of the characters. Plus, this glossary was especially helpful for someone like me, who hadn’t read the other books in the series.

This book is Book Three of The Folk Trilogy Book Series. I had not read the first two books before reading this book, but I wish I had. There are many references to the previous book and the characters significantly overlap. It could technically be read on its own as a standalone. I wasn’t completely confused or lost. I just occasionally felt out of the loop and that I was missing important information about the characters and how they got to the point at where they are when book three starts. So, I personally would recommend reading the first two books, before you start book three.

All in all, I really enjoyed reading this book and would absolutely recommend it! I think all mystery and paranormal romance readers will like this book too! So, add it to your TBR List and get to reading - you won't be disappointed!

After reading the first book in this PNR/UF trilogy, I was excited to read this final book. I missed the second one, but I'm planning to go back and read it also. I think it would be helpful to have read at least one of the other books in the series as the author's take on modern Fae (or Folk as she refers to them) living in various Colorado mountain towns is different from any other paranormals that I've read. Also, this book builds on events that happened in the first two books and doesn't give a lot of backstory, so it might be harder to pick it up independently of the others. The author includes a glossary at the end, but I didn't realize it was there until I'd finished the book.

Bertie, the hero, was introduced in the first book. He's the son of the queen of the Folk living in the area and is therefore considered the prince and her heir, although the royal family's main role is just to keep the peace between the various clans and mediate disputes. I was intrigued by his initial appearance and was happy to see that this third book was his romance. His heroine, Eva, was introduced in the second book and I loved her, so that's another reason I want to go back and read that book. She comes from a rare bloodline, was previously unaware of her heritage, and has powerful abilities that are stronger than what is normal among the Folk in the area.

The plot in this book centers around a resurgent rebellion against the queen. Bertie thought it had been dealt with in Book 1, but in this book, he realizes that there are still pockets of resistance trying to push out both his mother, the queen, and himself. Eva, who is new to town and therefore unknown to the local clans, gets involved in trying to gather intelligence about what's happening while also learning to control her newfound abilities. If I have one criticism of the book, it's that there is a lot that happens offscreen with Bertie trying to catch the rebels, therefore, when the leader of the rebellion is revealed near the end, it seemed to come a bit out of nowhere.

As always, with Meg Benjamin's books, both Bertie and Eva are sympathetic, likable leads who don't play mind games with each other or act immaturely. Their romance was solid and fun to read. I'm sorry to see this trilogy come to an end as I loved the world that the author was creating and would be happy to read more stories in it.

Found, book three from The Folk Trilogy is the first book I have read by Meg Benjamin. The genre is a little different from I normally read and it only proves why I should go outside my comfort zone to try something new. I thought Found was a pretty good read.
I look forward to reading the previous books from The Folk Trilogy to find out what happened prior to Found. I give this one four stars.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

This was a thoroughly engrossing story and was the first I read in this series. Everything from the previous stories was explained without boring the reader. There was plenty of action, some steamy scenes, emotions, acceptance, and love. I loved the connection between Eva and Bertie. They just fit together. The backstory was interesting, and the world building was good. I recommend this story.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Paranormal romance isn’t usually my thing, and fae stories are hit or miss. This one pleasantly surprised me in a lot of ways, and I was glad I picked it up.
I didn’t realize going in that this was third in a series. The fact that it didn’t occur to me that there might have been books prior to this one until about halfway in is a sign of Benjamin’s thorough storytelling. I was just so interested in what was happening that any questions I had were whisked away as soon as they came up. Looking back, it probably should have been obvious—what with a rebellion, the hero and heroine already seeming to know each other and having a history, and the looming threats. Rather than confusing me, these things just made me curious. I’m interested to read the first two books now.
One of my favorite things here was the folk themselves. I loved that they all weren’t just super-hot creatures with inhuman sex appeal. There were different clans, and while each had the supernatural looks and grace one might expect, they all weren’t just beyond gorgeous. I liked the differences between the clans and the tension between groups. It all added up to a nice story to run alongside the romance.
Speaking of the romance, it was wonderful and satisfying in all senses of the word. Before I realized this was third in a series, I thought the emotions were moving a bit fast. Once I discovered Bertie and Eva had history, all made sense, and the pacing just fell into place. This is one of the best paranormal couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Birdie is a prince, but he isn’t arrogant and doesn’t spend his days melting the panties off every woman he sees. He has a playboy history—fine. But it’s not his entire character, which was refreshing. Eva, too, is different in great ways. She’s got this new super strength, and she’s feeling powerful. She really wants to protect people and do great things with her powers. She becomes a kickbutt heroine, but later on, she changes. Without spoiling, she realizes things that make her a female character who’s not afraid not to punch things. So much respect for that.
Off the top of my head, I have nothing negative to say. There are still some things I’m a bit fuzzy on, but I suspect reading the first two books would clear all that up. I highly recommend this book and series.
